Hi!
I recently got a new job which requires me to workout in AM.
I am used to afternoon workouts,in which I had more time (an Hour plus),but now I need to keep my workouts to 30-45 minutes!
I have MIS and usually split this up into 2- 30+ minute workouts which I like,'but what are some good suggestions for cardio? Or even interval trainiing . Im an intesnity junkie,so any suggestions would be appreciated ! Thanks!
Courtney:)

The cardio portions from the CTX series are all around 25-30 minutes long. If you got the DVD version you could do just the warm up, cardio, and stretch in about 40 minutes. This DVD also has Leaner Legs, an all lower body workout that takes about 35 minutes, all the Upper Body segments chaptered so you could do 2-3 upper body parts in about 30 minutes, and all the ab segments chaptered as well.

You may also want to check out the Timesaver DVD workout from the new series which is due out sometime in October. It was made just for those people who have time constraints on their workouts but want to make each moment count.

Many of the Intensity Series DVDs have premixes that are just the cardio portions from a workout or just the upper or lower body segments. I imagine these would be about 30-40 minutes as well.

I think that if you have a DVD player the ability to program workouts or use premixes that are the length of time that you have is so much easier than with VHS. If you have VHS, then I highly recommend the CTX series.

P.S. Welcome :D

I second Sabines recommendations! And, if you can only get one, get CTX! My favorite to date! And the one series that has given me the best results! You won't be disappointed!

Those are exactly the workouts I was gonna say.
CTX is just one of my favorite workouts ever. Gonna do a couple weeks of it when I'm done with my PS rotation.

Thanks!
Now I forgot to mention,Im not too good with complex coreogrophy. I know Cathes can be complex at times( I have tried "All Step" and could only get thru about 3 1/2 minutes! And I think so early in the Am would be TOO MUCH!)
Is Body Max,CTX series(which I assume means Cross Train Xpress)
TimeSavers,Bootcamp-how are these complexity wise?
thanks again!
Courtney

Body Max and the CTX step workouts have complicated choreo. Body Max is very fast and if you're not use to her choreo you'll spend a lot of time rewinding and replaying until you get it. However, Body Max isn't too tough to learn if you are familiar with her earlier workouts. That being said, I think the Intensity Series on DVD is the way to go because of all the premixes that are offered. And it wasn't too difficult to pick up the choreo on IMAX 2 or Cardio and Weights because each step segment is repeated several times. These two workouts also have shorter 30-40 min. premixes which are wonderful! Hope this helps!

I would suggest getting Cathe's intensity series. I consider myself a pretty fit person, but I couldn't get through Bootcamp. The Bootcamp DVD has various pre-mixes that allows you to do cardio only, arms, legs, etc... These are really convenient when you don't have that much time to work out. Her Imax 2 is also tough. You can opt to do the first half on one day, the second half the next. The Cardio with Weights is great for total body conditioning in about an hour. I admit the intensity series was a big purchase for me, but it has been worth every penny. I'm auctioning my K. Smith and Gin Miller videos on E-bay so I can get more of Cathe's DVD's. I have never seen my body respond so fast to anyone's workouts until now. Hope this helps! :)
