I love my Rykas but I think it's time to replace them as I'm getting pain in my feet when I do high impact. I went shopping the other day but I can't decide what to buy. I've read reviews on crosstrainers in various fitness magazines but the usual retail price is over $70! That's way too much for my budget right now. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you skulk around the Sportmart type places they usually have some sales, where you can get a good quality pair of crosstrainers for like $35 or $40....SIMPLY because they are last year's model. Still the good quality, Rykas and the like. It is hit or miss tho. I stick with the top names and make sure that they are the good quality brands...Ryka, Nike, New Balance, Adidas. If you read the magazines they are only writing up the latest and greatest from these companies and they will be the models that are top $. But you can find last year's news for much cheaper. That has been my experience.

Check out eBay! You can get brand new sneakers there. You wouldn't believe some of the bargains I've gotten from eBay. I was going to buy my new sneakers there, but as luck had it - my stepmother got a pair for her birthday that she didn't like and gave them to me.

I HATE spending money on sneakers!

THANK YOU!!!

jmurphy - Thanks so much for this site:D ! I have tried ordering my beloved Ryka Iseums everywhere with no luck. Went shopping this weekend, hit up Lady Footlocker and Footlocker, no luck either place. Tried onlineshoes.com and they were out of my size. This site only had three sizes and one of them was mine!!! You made my day. My size 8's are on the way, and best of all cheaper than I expected to pay anywhere else! Wow! (Okay I got a little crazy with the !!! by hey I'm happy!)
