Good Morning Angela!!! I am excited to do SJP as I have never done it in it's entirety. I have to tell you though, I did the SB/SJP hi/lo cardio circuits and I got thru all 3 combo's, FINALLY. This is like my 3rd or 4th try. I rewounded a couple of times, but I was going to stick with it until I got it, and I finally did. My footing in combo #3 was not perfect, but I did it. I have not even attempted the blasts, or the Challenge yet, but I will get to those. This is a big accomplishment for me, I have never been able to do Rythmatic Step!!!!
I will check in again later. Have a great day Angela!!!!
Lori

Thursday - Step, Jump & Pump cardio only
Friday - Supersets
Saturday - 40 minutes of Rhythmic Step plus Ab Sculpt

Hey Lori and welcome Kelley!
Good for you Lori! Keep at it! I am going to clean the house first and then do my workout. I love being on a flexible schedule. I am a teacher and school starts up again next week so I won't be on the ol' computer as much but I will check in daily. I look forward to doing SJ&P today. I just love the BB workouts.

Kelley,
I saw that check in and posted a question to Kathy G. She has some great ideas for shaking things up. I may try her BC idea if I feel up to it. I'm not really checking in at the ya ya's b/c I am just using the Look Great in 8 concept to loosely create a rotation around. I may check in there too if they don't mind my doing a variation of the Look Great in 8!

I want to blast off 10 pounds and have begun logging in what I'm eating at Fit Day.

Talk with you guys later!

Well, my SJP is done. I liked that workout, it was fun. Do you know, the funny thing is, I have more problem w/ the low impact hi/lo, than the other ones. That beginning sashay, I don't have enough room for, so it really trips me up!! I really have to strengthen my core also. It is weak. I can do the basic core work, but all these arm out moves Cathe does, I am fried.

Angela- I am going to lose 10 lbs. also, I hope. My goal is to have it off by March 22, which is 12 weeks from yesterday. I have just been counting my calories at home. I have Carolyn Netzer, or someone like that, a calorie counting book, but I am going to the Mall today and am going to get an updated one. I am trying to stay between 16-1800 per day.

Kelley- HI!!!! When you have Ab Sculpt listed, is that Ab Sculpt by the Firm??? I have 2 of those dvd's, but have never used those. Cathe, I know is way tougher, but I was thinking about incorporating those into my workout just to help me strengthen my core. I should preview them, but I always kinda like peoples opinion better.

alk to you two tomorrow!!!!
Lori

Hi Lori, Yes it is Ab Sculpt by the Firm. I know a lot of people did not like this workout, but I was surprised that I actually liked it. I'm not a pilates or yoga person and this is great for my flexibility day as it works the core/back also. Today was the first time I had done that workout in a very long and some of the, I'll call, balancing moves were so easy. I'm thinking this is due to using Cathe's workouts with the stability ball and all the plank work she does.

I will be doing KP&C today! I love this workout and really feel it in my lats and arms and even my lower body the next day. I have a busy day planned...fun yet busy so I may not be back on until sometime tomorrow. Have a great day ladies! I'm glad we are checking in b/c I wanted to toss everything and do Cathe's New Year resolution rotation but I will stick with the plan...tee hee! Happy New Year!
Angela

May I join? I'm doing the Look Great in 8 rotation as well, starting on Monday. I was following it and loved it up until I received the Body Blasts and then I had to play with those, so...now I'd like to pick this up again and eat clean along with it. Like you I saw Cathe's New Year rotation and want to do that now :)! Anyway, maybe after the 8 weeks I'll tack it on as an intense last four weeks to make a nice round 12-week rotation.

Randi

Hi everyone. Well, KPC today kicked my butt. I just was not as chipper thru it as I usually am. I finished, but I was glad to get it done. My core is so weak, during those pikes, I just balanced on the ball. Usually I can do a couple of the pikes, but today I just did not have the energy, and the balancing was hard enough!!!! Have a great New Year everyone.

Welcome Randi!!!
Lori

Hey guys! I did the Viper and added in the glute raises, leg presses(first set),and abs from ME. Great workout!

By the way Lori, yesterday I did the abs from KP&C first before I was tired and I was able to do more of the pikes than I usually am able to do. After I did the ab work I went back to the beginning and did KP&C. I am trying to work my abs first when it involves pikes or the stability ball and I'm finding that it helps me do more.

Oh my word Angela, you are trying to kill me. I barely made it thru The Viper, let alone add on more. I don't know if it is because I have cut my calories, or what, but these last 2 workouts have killed me!!!!! I also did not get alot of sleep last night. I had to go and pick up my daughter at 12, and my son was calling letting me know where he was, we watched my mom's dog, and all night I was getting up messing with the dogs, hers and ours,....maybe that had a little to do with it. Anyway, I applaud you for tacking on all the extra that you did!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!
Lori

Lori,
I find it a hard balance sometimes to know how many calories to cut yet have enough energy to workout. Cathe takes a lot of energy so I am trying to focus on making healhty food choices. I need to eat more fruits and vegetables. Anyway, I also don't have children of my own so I can only imagine the challenge that awaits me when I do. My hat is off to you! I look forward to hopefully beginning a family in the next couple of years. Remember to choose an "easier" workout if that's what is needed. I don't claim to be an expert rotation maker and sometimes get a little too gung ho and have to adjust during the week. I do really want to push myself during this rotation (in a good way not a hurtful way). C&W would fit in nicely as a "circuit" workout this week also if you did not want to do BC. I will check in after I have worked out.
Angela:7

Oh Angela, I always prided my aerobic ability until this week. WOW. I guess I am more used to next week's rotation. I do alot of weight work, and less cardio than we are doing this week. I am enjoying it though!!!! I am not complaining, just telling you. How old are you?? I am forty. I do have 2 kids, but they are teenagers. Actully I am looking forward to Boot Camp tomorrow and might also add in the extra weight work. I will check in later, my husband and I are going to the movies.
Lori

Hey Lori,
I am 33...no kids. I have my high energy times and my low energy times. (I hope to start working on the ol' family within the next couple of years...I will be an older mom. That will test my fitness, eh?!) I am a special education teacher and do not go back to school until Monday so I am very rested and relaxed right now. I need to work on doing more weights and less cardio at some point. Today I changed my cardio plans and thought I would try the SB/SJ&P 90 minute premix. Whew! Tomorrow I may just do a Circuit weight workout without cardio. I did an extra stretch too...PLB...I love the stretch from PLB! Well I am off...I am taking my mom to see Elf. I will check in tomorrow. There is nothing wrong with doing less cardio and you know you could do SS as a circuit workout without the cardio if you wanted to.

Have a great weekend!
Angela:7

Good Morning!!!! Well, actually it is afternoon. Anyway, HI!!!! Just wanted to say I did my BootCamp today, w/ the extra weight work, and I really liked it. So, the first week is done!!! I really feel like I accomplished something. Today's workout was hard, of course, but it did not tire me like the last 2 days. I must have not been up to par those days. Anyways, have a great weekend everyone. Can't wait for next week!!!!
Lori

Hey Lori,
It is a nice accomplished feeling isn't it? Good for us! Today I did KP&C WU then BC upper & lower body premix the I finished with a timesaver kickbox, hi/lo, coremax circuit someone posted here. It will be nice to rest tomorrow. I love the pyramid workouts and if I remember correctly we will be doing each one twice next week. I actually get a little bored with the workouts themselves but I find I get some of the best visible results with the pyramids. Feel free to start the check in thread for next week whenever you want. If I don't see one I'll start it. Have a great rest of the week! What movie did you go see? I normally would not go see something like Elf but it was really quite funny and enjoyable.
Angela:7

Angela- I have a question for you. I have not even touched my TimeSaver DVD yet. I am DYING to try the LB workout, and put all of the UB workouts together also. Do you think I could sub in one of those this week, or are they too much endurance focused instead of strength??
Lori

Hey Lori,
I say do whatever you like. I know the Pyramids seem more like strength work to me compared to the Timesavers but you could do something like this. As you can tell I don't stick to a rotation as written at all costs. I say if I get up and do something then great:
This is an idea:
M: PUB/cardio of choice (I'm planning on SB/SJ&P Step & Hi/Lo cardio circuit)
T: PLB/SJ&P Step only premix
W: Timesaver Kickbox, Hi/Lo, and Coremax Circuit(posted by someone on this forum - I will program my DVD player - did this Saturday and loved it!)
TH: I am going to do PUB Up only and Circuit Max but you could do Timesaver Upper Body and no cardio or cardio of choice
F: KP&C
S: I will do PLB and some kind of short cardio depending on how my body feels you could do Timesaver lower instead.

Another Idea for this week for strength is:
M:pUB/PLB Bonus Workout
T:Cardio
W:Timesaver Upper/Day 5 lower body
Th: Cardio
F: Cardio
S: PUB/PLB Bonus Workout

Or do the up only premixes for the pryamids and/or shorten the cardios if pressed for time. I get a little crazy when I start thinking of all the options. Know ahead of time that I'm a cardio junkie and tend to try to get too much in at once so please adjust where needed to suit you!
Sorry so long!

As you can see I've changed what I am doing a little bit from the original plan but I am keeping the Pyramid workouts the same. After this week is high rep week and I would think you could sub in the Timesavers nicely there for any of the endurance workouts.:7

I watched the TimeSaver Day 5 today, and I will just stick to the Pyramids. I love the UB Pyramids, but the LB has never been my favorite. But, the more I thought about it today, the more I am looking forward to it. I have not done it in awhile!!!! I will check in tomorrow.
