Did this workout today, and I've officially found a new favorite mobility workout. I pretty much enjoy all of Cathe's other mobility workouts (Perfect 30 and STS 2.0), but I really like how she changed this one up.
She kept the moves in this one more active than static like you find in the other mobility workouts. She does this fun thing where she shows you one mobility move which you do for a few sets, then a second mobility move, which you do for a few sets, then she layers the two together in a way that makes me think of a yoga vinyasa flow. Her approach makes me think of her step workouts where she shows you a set of moves, you repeat them a few times, then she shows you she more moves and you repeat those, then she throws them all together.
So I found this really fun and engaging. I enjoyed the music, too.
As I did Total Body with its Anytime Mobility bonus yesterday, I wasn't too happy to see MORE walking planks. That was the only part I felt testy about. But that's also because I'd done several just the day before. I'm sure I won't mind them if I've had a few days between doing that exercise.
By the end, I definitely felt nice and loosened up and energized.
The bonus Low Impact Cardio right after was really challenging, to my surprise. If you're only going to give Cathe 15 minutes to get your heart going, she's going to make the most of it! Once you finish Anytime Mobility, BAM, she chucks you right into the cardio.
I definitely got my heart rate up, which for some reason surprised me, as I was just assuming this is supposed to be a "light" workout. Either that or I've definitely gotten out of shape!
Only disappointment with this one was that there was no cooldown or stretch at the end of the cardio. Yes, I suppose if you've just come from the mobility workout, maybe you already are nice and stretched out. But I cannot see this bonus being used as a standalone because it doesn't have a warmup or a cooldown, let alone a stretch. Okay - YES, you can use it as a standalone, just make sure you warm up first and take the time to cool down and stretch after.
