Good morning, cheetahs!

Guess no other early birds are around these days to get us goin’…

Judy—I don’t think it’s silly at all to be relieved by the scaling back of gifts. I hear you! I was planning on stopping buying gifts for my goddaughter when she is 18…Yes, I have become prone to insomnia, unfortunately. But I deal with it. :) Our conferences were successful, and we have one more day of them today. Sorry your PF is flaring. What a pesky injury that is. My father just found out he has it.

Dallas—I’m sorry to hear there is some health drama in your family. You have already had more than your fair share! (((HUGS))) to you.

Christine—agree with you on the parenthood tests, too. I do a considerable chunk of my shopping online as well. I’m not into crowds. However, the Black Friday bargains are often irresistible. I make a plan and get in and out quickly. Hope you are feeling 100% again ASAP!

Carole—we do seem to go in rounds with our insomnia, don’t we?…I hope you can avoid it… I think I would have a hard time at the garage sale parting with some of the sentimental items.

Linda—thanks…gee, migraine + insomnia? Think somebody’s been a little stress-y? *lol* Actually, it was my DSis’s fault for Tuesday night. She is in Germany and texted me at 1 am! I do understand what you mean about things getting out of control with holiday spending. Wee woo wee woo—that’s the video police comin’ for ya! ;) :D

Jackie—your night in with DBF sounded relaxing and cozy… I feel for folks like your sis. Know I could have it much worse. Hope the Ann near me doesn’t close. Ann and Loft are my go-to spots for my professional wardrobe! How do the calves feel?

Posh—oh that dreaded “Clean Max” DVD.
th_FRlol.gif
I’d forgotten you were doing a turkey day trot. Awesome! Met with Lil Aiight’s mom yesterday. She aiight.
th_lol_alpha.gif
Gave us permission to whap ‘im upside the head if he’s being a goofball. *ha ha* YES! The books did arrive. I’m so excited to share them with the kids on Monday when we do what’s called a “book pass.” (The kids sit in a circle with a book in front of them. They check out the front and back cover and then start reading it for 5 minutes. When the timer goes off after 5 minutes, they give the book a rating based upon their interest level.) It’s a great activity that usually generates a lot of interest in books they might not have picked up on their own. You are absolutely right about early literacy and the difference it makes in a child’s overall academic success. What a wonderful thing you did for your kids. Wish all parents would make that investment and read to their kids.

Gloria—glad you made it home safely driving in those conditions. Scary! Woo-hoo on having report cards behind us!

I opted for 4DS KB (fun!) followed by 10 min. on the EXT—simpler than the original thought ‘cuz the lack of zzz’s sure did catch up with me by the end of the day. I’m happy to say it was an insomnia-free night.

Have a great day!

Good Morning Cheetahs.

No early bird here. I took Nyquil last night to help me sleep through the night since I was up the night before cause my throat was bothering me. It worked...a little TOO well. LOL I've been up a little while, had a full cup of coffee and still feel like I'm in a coma. :p Needless to say, there will be no work out for me this morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have it in me this afternoon but I can't be sure...

Cathy: We are heading to my MIL's for Turkey Day this year. Spent last year with my mom/sis. My mom and her SO are heading to AC tmrw! I'd rather be going with them! :p They will be home on Sunday. Lucky stiffs! :)

Judy: In my family I would get gifts from extended family as a kid but that stopped before I even turned 18. It's just too much. I had no problem with it.

Dallas: (((hugs))) I hope the health issues in your family get resolved quickly.

Christine: So how do you feel today? ITA that people should be tested before being allowed to reproduce or have a pet. You got bit? OMG how scarey. Forget it, I'd likely never go near another dog again after that!

Carole: Alrighty, you and Cathy need to stop talking about insomnia. I am prone to it myself and do not want to "catch it" anytime too soon! :p You just did the X. Are you sure that wasn't YOUR get ready for summer (in the fall) rotation? :p

Jackie: Going to the movies can be tough. I like it but in the cold weather it's hard to motivate yourself to go out. I'd rather be home on a comfy couch too. We might actually go to the movies this weekend to see the new Vince Vaughn comedy "Four Christmases". Should be a goodie! :D

Posh: 50 miles for a race packet!? YIKES! I bought DH a dell laptop for Christmas a few years back and it crashed with a few months. We thought it was a virus since we (stupidly) hadn't installed an antivirus program in it yet. As it turns out, years later when we had a friend look at it, it was something with the PC itself. We should have contacted Dell right away since it was under warranty when it crashed. OOPS!

Gloria: How nice that your mom gets to go down to Maryland to be with her sister for Turkey Day. Glad you got the report cards done.

Good morning ladies!

I'm going to quickly post that I did DM this morning and, I can honestly say, I don't refer to it as DreadMax anymore:D. It fit the bill this morning...have a lot of $#!& going on and have been having a rough go of it lately so it helped to relieve the tension (and the tension headache that goes with it).

Yesterday should have been a "get out of jail free" day from work due to the rain but lots of crap just seemed to happen during the course of the day so I didn't get home near as early as I had hoped...oh well *shrugs*. I did manage to get a nice little run in during daylight hours though...might have been around 4ish miles, don't know just ran for as long as I felt like it. Needed to clear my head and just get out, you know?

Gonna see if I can catch up on personals here in the next few minutes before I head off to work. I hope to BBIAM!

Hey Friends-

Well yesterday for a workout I chose Muscle Endurance as produced. The leg presses and biceps and shoulders are decent in that workout.I was able to increase weights from previous times doing ME. My strategy this week for minimizing PF symptoms is to not run the day after the long run. The 3 miler will be today Instead of yesterday, followed by yoga.

Wendy- Sorry you have crud symptoms! I hope you get your energy back.

Gloria- Have a nice weekend off now that report cards are behind you!

Posh & Cathy- We approached reading the same way with our kids and have 4 avid readers. They often give me book recommendations . In fact, I read A Prayer for Owen Meany after 3 of my kids urged me to pick it up.

Carole- Is the garage sale this weekend? You must have stirred up many fond memories these past few days/ weeks with spending so much time at your childhood home. Did you find any old photos? I dread the time when we have to the same for my Dad. He has been a widower for 21 years and in the same house for 58 years. He refuses to move because he spends time in a basement work shop that he adores. Do tell us how to make Tofurky home made.

Linda- Have you chosen a half marathon yet?

Shelly - How are you feeling post race +3days?

Karen- thinking of you and sending hugs!

Hi to Jackie and Brighton and Wendi & Christine!

Cathy - Good to know that you haven' had any issues with Vista...maybe they've ironed out all their issues??? Your testimonial does make me feel a little bit better about getting a new 'puter...this one is getting pretty pathetic these days:confused:. Nice KB and EXT workout last night! I think that was a wise option for ya in light of the insomnia. Glad to hear you had a nice, restful sleep last night:D.

Judy - Feeling relieved about not having to shop for extended family is not silly at all! That should be a HUGE relief for ya. We do the same thing with the shrimp...at-the-table app:)...just this year it will be lobster since it's been so cheap around here lately. Sorry to hear that you're having some PF issues:(. Go easy on that , okay? You've got plenty o' time before RH;)!

Dallas - So sorry to hear there are health problems in your family...{{{{HUGS}}}}. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Christine - I was absolutely shocked when I read what happened to poor, poor Jimmy:eek::(. I'm glad that he came out of that relatively unscathed...could have been so much worse:(. People do truly amaze me sometimes:rolleyes:. How are you feeling today? 5 would be perfect...make sure to bring Jimmy along;)!

Carole - Glad to hear your mom continues to improve:). Wow, you got the packing done in record time! I hope the garage sale goes well this weekend although I can certainly understand the mixed feelings...so many memories, I'm sure. Um, yeah, home number and, if I wasn't already hitched, I *might* have taken him up on it...he is quite the hottie:p. The party is for the girl who owned Monkey.

Linda - I say we all have a huge Cheetah TG dinner, whadayasay? LOL about escaping the video police:D...hey, we all do that from time to time, right? Quite the workout!

Jackie - Glad to hear that you're getting excited about your race:). You're gonna rock it girl! reat workout yesterday....so how are the calves today? Heehee, that's why I try to have TG dinner at MY house...I can control the food;):). Yeah, gotta have the house ship-shape for grandmom. Awww, you're too sweet:eek:.

Posh - Sheesh, 50 miles just for the race packet?!?! Although, it does enable you to hit up Whole Foods so I guess the whole trip is VERY worth it, eh? Have a fab race tomorrow, girl! Nah, no injury, just need to keep the appetite in check for the next 10 days and weights make me ravenous regardless of how much I up my protein for the day:eek::eek:.

Wendy - Sorry to hear that your crud is still sticking around:confused:. Are you still on the meds? Just take it easy and get well honey! Regardless of the fact you had to cut B&G a little short...great job! How are the DOMS?

Gloria - Glad to hear you've got all those report cards done. Do things settle down at least a leetle bit for ya now? Wow about the snow...have you had a lot of accumulation?

Shelly - I can't believe that I've been this delinquent...UBER CONGRATS on your PR!!!!! Awesome performance! You know, I just about sprinted to the computer Sunday night to see how ya did...your fab race made my night:D! Although, I still can't wrap my brain around the fact that you did BM2 BC the next day:eek::eek::eek:!!! There are just no words:eek:.

Howdy to Brighton and Karen...hope you're doing well!

Okay, really gotta jet. My posting time for the next couple of days may be sparse, at best, so I want to wish everyone a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving in case I don't get back here. Take care!

Judy - You snuck in there on me. I like your idea of not running the day after your long runs...I hope it does the trick for ya. Great job with ME yesterday!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I think sometimes insomnia has a lot to do with hormones!! Mine will come from DH being gone for a few days as he is visiting his Dad and then will spend T-Day with his Mom and other family members. I could not swing going with all that is going on with Mom's house and stuff. But was not looking forward to the very long drive anyways!! I am sure you are right about seeing the sentimental things go in the Garage sale. But I know with my other 2 sisters there we will get through it very well...:)...Good job with 4DS KB and 10 on the EXT.

Wendy...good job getting in B&G when you still feel crappy. Nyquil does get you to sleep but it can have some bizarre side effects in the morning! I don't think I have ever heard P90X as a "get ready for summer workout!"...:)...But I am always trying to work on my guns too...:)

Wendi...Good job with DM, that one still scares me! Yes, we really pushed on the packing as this is a 30 day escrow! Thanks re: the Garage sale. I hope it goes well. So your stylist is quite the hottie...:)...I bet you will look great for the party.

Judy..Yes, the Garage sale will be this weekend. Luckily, this was not the house I grew up in, but Mom & Dad did live there about 24 years. Mom has been widowed since 1997. Yes, we came across many pics and there are many emotions. We found one pic of my Dad, he was like 15-16 with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and looked very James Deanish...:)...See my post to Jackie below for the tofurky from scratch.

Linda...LOL about the video police!! I rarely do all the Push-ups in GS Chest myself...:)

Jackie...Tofurky is basically seasoned tofu with stuffing in the middle. The recipe I have you mix up the tofu and spices, press into a colander lined with cheesecloth so you form a bowl with the tofu. Then use another bowl to keep the shape and refrigerate over night to let the tofu drain. Next day make the stuffing, take out the other bowl and fill the tofu bowl with the stuffing, then use the remaining tofu to cover the stuffing. Then you get whatever pan you will use and invert the colander over so you have a half a big ball on the pan. Baste the ball and cook...:) Thanks for your well wishes for the Garage sale. I do hope it goes well. Very nice of your hairdresser to come in early and get your hair done! 4DS calves always seems to get my calves a tad sore.

Posh..WOW, 50 miles to pick up your race packet! I decided to skip the turkey trot here. I have been a long time Raider fan so I was happy to see them win for once against Denver. See above post to Jackie on the tofurky from scratch ^^^^^

Gloria...glad you got home safely in those nasty driving conditions.

I am planning on PH upper, abs and a 5-6 mile interval run.

Have a great day...

Good Morning Ladies!

Cathy – Sounds like a nice workout last night!! As for Black Friday – there are not enough savings out there to make up for those crowds!! I’m getting better, thanks. I think by tomorrow I’ll be much better. I think I’ll enjoy taking it slowly today. Tomorrow will be a Cheetah-like workout!

Wendy – I was bitten ages ago while on my bike (I think I was 12 or something). I do get nervous around dogs I don’t really know, but most owners around here are responsible, so most dogs are good, so I’ve more or less gotten over it. Nyquil knocks me out for the day. I try to avoid it – hope you’re feeling better soon!

Wendi – glad you enjoy DM! Thanks, re: Jimmy. I would have beaten the other dog into submission had Jimmy not gone down the slope. I am not a violent person, but I was ready to hit something that day. Fortunately all ended relatively well.

Carole – Yeah, ITA about idiot dog owners! I think what drives me the craziest is it’s because of these idiots that well behaved dogs cannot go so many places. How was the S&H self-made workout?

Linda – Oh I HATE tricep dips and avoid them like the plague. What?! The video police did NOT come and get you?!? Amazing – I’ll ask for the reprieve the next time they cite me. :p That is funny! Thanks for the chuckle!

Jackie – yes Cathe does like to punish us! Sometimes I take my punishment like a good kid, and other times I run and hide (aka press skip). I am feeling better – going to ease back into workouts today! Thanks!

Posh – How’d that CleanMax DVD go? ;) Oooh – Whole Foods for Thanksgiving! That sounds incredible. Enjoy your TG Salad bar! Is the rest of the family veg too? Do you cook non- veg for them? Just curious - if you prefer not to answer, that's cool, too.

Gloria – glad the report cards are done – that must be a pain! How fun that your mom is going to Maryland to see her sister! Oh, how scary to drive in whiteout conditions! I’m so happy you made it home safely! Well, at least you got some isometric exercises. :p

I’m feeling better! YEAH! Still not really good enough to push it on a tough workout, so I’m going to do SuperSets. I haven’t done that one as is in ages. I figured it would get the body nicely stretched out and warmed. DH made dinner last night as DD19 was home for the evening – she’s going to her mom’s for Thanksgiving. It was good. I’ve made my goal number at work, so today will be a half day of work, a pot luck (I’m bringing shredded chicken – I’ll make it at work in the crockpot) and then home. I’m thinking I’ll take Mr. Jimmy for a nice long walk this afternoon. We could both use it. Have a great day all!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Posh - Hope that Clean Max dvd didn't wear you out! Good luck with your 10K tomorrow! Love going to Whole Foods when I get a chance. Enjoy the fresh produce.

Gloria - Hope your mom has a fun visit with your aunt. Glad you had a safe trip. Did you get lots of snow?

Cathy - I love me some Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft, Ann Taylor Factory Stores. You name it and I'm there. I can always find my size and some nice bargains to boot. Good job with the workout! Glad you got in a good night's sleep. I have just a touch of DOMS in the calves. Hopefully it won't get worse.

Wendy - Nyquil doesn't help me to sleep through the night either. Whatever it is that has its grips on you doesn't want to let go too easily. Glad the throat is better. I'm usually a big old slug in the winter. Wouldn't care if I ever left the house. Four Christmases looks like a good movie. But, that would be one I couldn't get DBF to go to. :(

Wendi - Glad DM got rid of the nasty tension headache for you. Hope you demolished it so it's not hanging around for the holiday. Good job on the run. Enjoy your mom and grandma.

Judy - Good job with ME and babying that foot. Enjoy your 3 miles and yoga.

Carole - Insomnia is definitely hormone related for me. Don't sleep near as well as I did years ago where I could stay in bed until 9 every day. Thanks for the tofurkey recipe. Printing it right now. Have a good PH UB and interval run.

Christine - Think I'm going to venture out to Wal-Mart on Black Friday. Don't do that too often. This will probably be my 3rd time going out. I'm like you, sometimes the crowds and no parking spaces aren't worth it. Glad you're feeling better and can get an easy workout in. Congratulations on making your goal at work!!!

Today's workout was iClimb #22 30 minutes and Rodney Yee's Yoga for Abs.

Gotta get to work! Have a wonderful TG eve.

Jackie - oh, sending you strong "anti crowd" vibes. Hope you find parking and what you need quickly and efficiently. I'm a big Ann Taylor XXX fan myself!! :) Enjoy your workout!

I ended up doing SuperSets - it's a little short, but fun. I was feeling pretty good, so I tacked on 4 intervals from Simply Interval. Got my HR up there and now I feel really good. Still get the itchy nose every now and again, but I'm glad I didn't push too hard even today. Enjoy everyone.

Ho, Ho, Ho... hhee

Top o’ the Mornin’!

Well, I did get through most of CleanMax..lol. Still need to work on more LaundryMax at some point today. I’m actually going to try and make this a quickie post since I should be flyin’ outta here by now. Going down to Sacramento REI to pick up that race packet but first I’ll be stopping in Auburn to get in a run then swing into DMV. After, I get the packet, I’ll be hitting Costco, Whole Foods, BevMo, and Target on the way back…whew! Oh, and today I must remember to call and make sure my mom is safely tucked in at my cousin’s in Ohio – she flew out yesterday with all the snow happenins – She went to my cousin and her son’s for the holiday and the son’s wedding. My mom and cousin are real close, especially after my aunt passed away. Brandon is the Navy Seal that graduated Officer training in San Diego last year (that my mom attended) so she’s super proud of him and very excited about his wedding.

Ok, so much for being brief…lol

Cathy – The book pass deal sounds awesome! Yeah, I’m also a book pusher to the lil’ ones in the extended family as well…lol. Sometimes I add in cool bookmarks and accessories to entice the young teens to get interested too – works like charm. Glad you got in a FULL night’s rest…lol. LOL’ing re: lil’ aiight’s mom – do you think she’d go for the stringing up outside by the rear of his britches?

Wendy – Wow, too bad about DH’s laptop. We have 3 Dells and a Macbook (artsy DD18) and we’ve had nothing but great luck on the Dells. Guess there’s a fluke in every brand though, huh? I do know that Apple is one of the best for getting anything they make repaired or replaced without much hassle. Enjoy your Thanksgiving at the IL’s.

Wendi – Well, the trek down to Sac to get the race packet is probably closer to 45 miles (just mapquested it). But still, I wish they’d allow us farther away to pick up at an REI closer to me like Roseville. Yeah, the Whole Foods I’m stopping at is in Roseville which is only 28 miles away. LOL. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

Judy – Sounds like a smart move with switching up the running days to minimize PF symptoms. My kids sometimes recommend books as well and as a matter of fact, DD18 is urging me to read Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan.

Carole – Well, it is actually 45 miles to the REI in Sac to get the packet (see post to Wendi ^ ^ ^). Yeah, I can understand why you opted out of the Turkey Trot this year – so much going on for you. My MIL wasn’t too happy to hear that I am doing my run first and heading back up to shower and go back down with my family. This means they’ll all be tapping their toes waiting for me…lol. Whatever, this won’t be the first Thanksgiving this has happened! LOL. I feel I need to do my part for charity before I can sit down like a gluttonous porker in all the over abundance. LOL. I know, you’re a Raider fan too, so I bet you were happy to see that game! Nice and creative how you make your own Tofurky!

Christine – Nope, just going to Whole Foods for the produce I need for the salad bar thingey I’m bringing down to BIL’s tomorrow. No, I am the only veg head in the house. My DD18 used to be vegetarian (around age 10 – 13) but wouldn’t eat vegetables. I told her she needed to eat vegetables if she were going to be a vegetarian and she said to me, “no,mom, I’m a fruitatarian”…lol cuz she’d eat lots of fruits. Anyway, she’s real big on In and Out Burger nowadays…go figure. I don’t mind you asking me at all. I just don’t like going places where peeps razz me about my eating habits like for instance, tomorrow, my ignorant SIL will probably make her usual comments. But whatever, I just deal with it and if someone gets really obnoxious about it I just whip out my few sentences re: slaughter houses etc. and they usually STFU instantly. LOL…by the way, DH does try a lot of my vegetarian dishes and really likes them!

Jackie – No, Clean Max didn’t wear me out – need to do that one 2X and increase the intensity I guess…just kidding. Hey, I chuckled at the post to Cathy re: loving me some Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft, Ann Taylor outlet…lol ME TOO! Actually, I frequent the outlet one the most. Have a great TG eve at work – woo hoo 4 day weekend!

Ok I really gotta jet here…Have a great day ya’ll!

POSH :D

Ugh. No relief from the Nyquil/stuffy head induced coma I am in yet. When DS heads for a nap in about 10 minutes I am going to lie down as well. I'm hoping a cat nap will give me the energy to complete today's work out...Fingers crossed! ;)

Good afternoon, ladies!!!

Wow, Thanksgiving week. Is this week ever stress-free? Augggh!!! The last couple of days I've been running around like a crazy person. It's "good" stress, though. Not the negative debilitating kind of stress. The kids are back to sleeping soundly again, so that makes a world of difference. :)

I've been a slacker with the workouts the last couple days. Yesterday was LaundryMax and today was PieMax. :D We're leaving for my parents' place tonight and will be spending a couple days up there for the holiday. Hopefully I'll get a quick run in tomorrow, and will try for a bout on the EXT on Friday. SJP is on the schedule for Saturday... *fingers crossed.*

:( One of these days I'll catch up with personals............. :( Sorry I've been MIA lately.

But to answer just a couple quick things-------

Linda: I'm in Utah, under an hour's drive from SLC & it's about that from here to Park City as well. I love it-- we spend a lot of time outdoors... It is definitely different from Chicago, but both places are spectacular.

Christine: I have a Trek 2.1 & have really enjoyed it... My BIL did the Tour de Tahoe a couple years ago! ITA that it is the  DROP OFF  by Emerald Bay that scares the heck outta me. Driving up to the summit in our car nearly did me in.

I will try to check in on Saturday-- the schedule is pretty FULL the next couple of days.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope everyone is able to surround themselves with those they love. All the best to everyone in the Cheetah den!

:D :D :D :D :D

~Brighton~

Hi there girls.

Well, I decided part of my problem was due to my sinuses be filled with crap so I took sinus medication just before laying down for a nap. Thirty minutes later I felt like a new woman! No, not 100%, but good enough to work out and I STILL feel okay a couple hours later. I banged out MM upper body + abs. I pushed it extra hard during a few exercises so I'm bound to have some DOMS tmrw. No DOMS in the lower body still except for a very slight bit in the thighs. :)

Tomorrow calls for Step Blast. I know now that I won't feel like doing that. I am planning on a run in the morning to make room for the big meal! :D

Tonight is going to be a GH night. I'm going out in a few minutes to pick up a few bottles of wine. I don't drink it often but am in the mood for it so I'll pick up for tonight as well as enough to bring and share tmrw at my MIL's. DS is going home with my SIL tmrw night and will be there until Sunday with her and her family. This means that we will have an extended weekend all to ourselves and I will have Black Friday completely free and to myself as DH has to work and I don't! :D:D:D

Hope everyone is doing well. I'll try to come back a bit later for personals!

Toodles!

Hi Cheetahs!

Cathy: I forgot to say way cool about getting your new tech equipment installed the other day. I had some problems with our CPS system today (the click in the answer thing). Long, stressful story. Well, that is how the whole day has went. As Carole would say, serenity now! :) I am sorry you had a migraine the other day and insomnia this week to boot! :( My ex-principal's district had the day off today and she came to visit. I was SO HAPPY to see her! We are going to make plans to get together. :) Great workout today! Glad you got some sleep!

Wendy: How are you feeling? I don't take Nyquil...I get the scariest nightmares when I take it. I usually wake up in the middle of the night screaming and scare the you know what out of DH! Sounds like mom is going to have a hoot. Don't worry about working out if you aren't feeling well. Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving with Dh's family. :)

Judy: How is the PF? Your plan for reducing the inflammation sounds wise.
ME is a beast to me. I am looking forward to the weekend. How often do you do yoga a week?

Wendi: I love DM! Great workout! It seems at school there is always something, but yes, things should settle down. :) We have about 6 inches of accumulation, which we got in one day. See, it needs to happen over night so that we can have a snow day. ;) I hope your Thanksgiving is a nice one! :)

Carole: I have had good tofu once. Believe it or not, it was in the food court at my university! Your recipe sounds tasty! Hope your team is a winner! My driving skills are weak, so I was happy to make it home! LOL! :) As usual, you are very consistent with great workouts. In a post long ago I remember you saying you have a hard time holding your tongue the older you get...yeah, me too!

Christine: Glad you got in a workout! Yes, report cards can be a pain. I am not sore from the isometrics yesterday. ;) I remember reading about some issues on the trail with the dogs. Sorry you and Jimmy had to deal with irresponsible dog owners! Get this...I am thinking with the tanking economy and my love for the critters that this year, instead of having a Christmas/Holiday party, we will just bring in donations for our local animal shelter. I am going to call them and see what they need. I told my co-teacher about my idea and she wants to be a part of it. Just have to get the ok from the boss and call the shelter. I am really excited about it!

Jackie: We did get dumped on with the snow Monday. It was the wet, heavy kind that even made my DH's Land Cruiser have difficult travel. It was day time though, so no snow day. ;) I often think that it isn't fair that the schools get the day off and everyone else doesn't. Even if I wasn't in the kid business, I would still be terrified driving on those bad roads. I'll have to check out Yee's Yoga for Abs. Don't know that one. Hope your Thanksgiving is nice and relaxing. :)

Posh: Good luck on you 5k tomorrow! :)

Brighton: I am sure you will do great getting in your workouts! :)

I think I will have to start wearing my glasses again. I could not see the signs well last night while I was driving to the airport and had my face pretty much against the windshield trying to read them. It was clear weather on the way down too. I really don't travel where I have to read the signs too often. Wake up call.

Got in a great 4 mile run. Could of went longer, but had to go to school and print off the report cards to go home today. Just happy to get something in.

Thanks for being here Cheetahs. :) Enjoy your time with family, friends, or whatever the heck makes you happy!

Hi Girls.

I'm drinkin' a glass o' wine right now so I'm a happy camper. It's amazing how quickly this stuff goes to my head. *hic* :p

Gloria: Good job on the 4 miler. Put those glasses on and be safe. Don't need you gettin' in a car accident, friend! That would not be cool! Good job with the 4 miler.

Brighton: Glad it's good stress but um, isn't that kind of an oxymoron!? :D;):p

Posh: Glad you've had good luck with Dell laptops. I've sworn 'em off. :p My mom has had 2 dell desktops with no issues at all. Hope your mom is safe at your cousin's house. We thought about getting a Mac laptop but they are pricey and not needed for anyone who isn't into graphic something or the other.

Christine: SS/PP is a great dvd! The premixes are fantastic. Good job takin' it easy. Some of us...like yours truly...don't do that as well as others. LOL Hope you and Jimmy enjoyed your long walk together today. Congrats on making your goal! Hope the pot luck was yummy!

Jackie: Why wouldn't DBF go to see Four Christmases? Not a Vince fan or not a slap stick fan in general? Well if he won't go see it then ya need to find someone else to go! Your daughter or a girlfriend perhaps? :)

Carole: So is your DH jealous of your guns? Mine is jealous! He can only WISH he had guns like mine! :D Hope you had a good work out!

Wendi: Take it easy?? What's that?? :D:D:D

Alrighty...gotta get goin'. Time to put DS to bed and start rockin' out.

BB in the morning tho!
