Little Pocket of Knee Pudge

Ok – I know that we can’t choose where the fat comes off and spot reducing isn’t possible – but I have this little pocket of knee pudge that is driving me crazy!

I am doing STS and six days of cardio. Three days of CC interval runs of 45-60 minutes. On STS days (I am starting my second week of Meso 3) I am doing two days of 35-40 minutes on stationary bike and one day on the rower.

Is my knee pudge going to be the last place I lose fat? Is there some particular combination of exercises that will firm up the front of the thigh and therefore bring the knee along?

Maybe it’s just time and patience….?

Any tips would be appreciated :D

I think a bit of knee pudge looks cute. Seriously. I do. I hate triceps that jiggle when I wave, and tyres in the back, the beginnings of which I am noticing since I have been a very bad girl about my diet and exercise. On the bright side, I actually have a butt after a long, long time. I will gladly trade knee pudge for my arm fat, with the back pudge thrown in as a bonus offer. ;)

I have no advice, except to enjoy and cherish your body while you continue to work out and wait for exercise and nutrition to deliver ... I am sure they will with time. I dont mean to say you should stop pursuing your goal. I admire you for it. Just that I think - dont be hard on yourself or unappreciative of yourself for all that you have achieved so far.

Don't feel too badly about a little knee pudge! My problem area is my abdomen (particularly the lower part). I carry a pudge there and it's the last place I lose my body fat! I'm actually down in size between 4 and 6! Just found that out yesterday when my DH took me clothes shopping as my reward for making it through my 2 - 10 lb. goals! Unfortunately, I still have the belly pudge. The last time I got really fit (in my 30s), the belly fat was the very last thing to go and it took a year!

So, be patient. If it's fat, it will come off eventually. We just can't control where and when it comes off!

Looks like you are doing everything right. Just avoid estrogenic foods (yams, carrots, soy) because thats a girl spot to put on fat. Mostly dudes don't get that. I think maybe for you its just patience. I can relate btw, I've got 50 pounds to lose and have been stuck in a plateau for 6 months and am so itching to get this thing moving!

Vee and Tricia thanks for your support, I really needed the pep talk.:)

Good golly! Reading this almost made me weep! (happieness, sorrow, frustration?? gee - I don't know)

This makes so much sense! I am an endomorph body-type and the best results I have are when I lay off certain complex carbs and focus on eating mostly fibrous green above ground carbs.

What other foods are estrogenic?
