Lipo?

Has anyone ever had lipo done? I know there's the traditional, shall I say, suction (is that the right word?) method and the new laser method. I'm really tired of having a gut and fatty upper thighs.

Right now I'm HATING myself. It's my period and I'm so freaking bloated and I swear every fat cell in my body tripled in size. I'm totally disgusted today.

But, still, I am considering lipo and would sure appreciate all your input.

No, I haven't but Kathy whatever...the profane D-list woman had her pictures shown on tv the other day from traditional and OUCH!!! the bruising was insane.

On the flip side, my mom has friends who have had the laser method done and literally were cooking dinner the same night and the results were amazing.

I don't know if plastic surgery is a taboo topic here or not. I live in the South where women believe it is their God given right to have plastic surgery if they want. I know lots of women who have had amazing results with breast augmentation and tummy tucks. When I get to my goal and maintain it for 6 months I will be having a consultation for implants.

Sorry I don't know more about lipo....boobs and tucks....I know about! :p

Lipo is good if you're looking to reduce in a particular section...i.e, tummy tuck. Its really financially not feasible or advised to get reduction all over your body. But if you think say, your butt is disproportionately huge while the rest of your body makes more sense to your figure, getting lipo for your butt could be smart decision. If you feel bloated -- I do too -- it may be hormonal. See if drinking a lot of green tea helps...it helps my sister more than me but it does help me (though I wonder if more of it has to do with me drinking water so my body doesn't feel like it needs to retain it so less bloating)...

I agree

I have a fatty belly and upper thighs that could use some reduction. I'll try the green tea for the other issue; thanks for the advice.

That's good to hear!

I may be a candidate one day. My family has the neck waddle thing going on. Mine is minor, but it's there, and I can't imagine it getting better with age. I think I read somewhere that lipo was a good option, but I haven't really researched it yet.
