Like/review/verify/don't buy check in for 2016- 2024

I think I had brain fog this morning too! I kept waking up last night and when it was time to get up I just couldn't think of a workout so I skipped it. I did come home and do Body Revolution 5 this evening though.

*edited* I'll just tag this mornings workout to last night's post.... This morning was kickboxing - I did KCM Cardio Pump kickboxing and Jessica Smith 10 pounds down Cardio Abs which is mostly cardio boxing.

Belinda- I'm sure your body doesn't know or care that you went out of order!! Good job getting it all in.

I didn't sleep well again last night and had to run my son up to catch a ride to his golf tournament this morning at 5:30am so I didn't get started on my workout until late. Then I couldn't decide what to do but ended up picking a Yvette Bachman on YT - Legs with step cardio (and chest). This ended up being a great workout - alternating Legs work and basic step cardio moves. Then at the end she added in chest and some abs. The step was easy to follow and not high impact and her leg work was heavy weights all 12 reps. I did the entire hour so now ending up at work late! Oh well! :)

This is from yesterday, I guess I didn't post it and just thought that I did !

This morning I did Sharon Twombly's Zero to Sixty, 71 minutes, 431 calories, met 5.5, heart rate 121 average, max 191 ( I looked at the chart since I was surprised at the high and it was a short blip), I then did Yoga Tune Up knee hab prehab segment, and upper tune up quick fix neck, 20 minutes, 44 calories. Total time 91 minutes, 475 calories.

Doreen, I have not been sleeping well myself. I kept waking up last night and knew I had my grandson and things I had to go out and do this morning. I had to prod myself to get busy earlier than usual to have time to get the workout in. My 7 year old grandson was eating candy and had a glass of milk when I came downstairs. I guess he helped himself :)

Belinda, LOL on the buzzard blast ? Nice workout today :)

This morning I did Fit Split Mixed Impact cardio timesaver #1, 28 minutes, average heart rate 136, max 177, 195 calories, met 6.1, 2,521 steps and added 5 minutes on the rebounder which was 30 calories, 431 steps. This was one of the rebounder workouts Lori posted, but I stopped because my left knee started hurting. I don't know why because it was fine through Fit Split. I sometimes find that the rebounder with hard jumping makes my knee hurt on the push off. I then did Sarah Beth yoga on youtube, 20 minute morning yoga, 21 minutes, 52 calories and finished off with Yoga Tune up prehab, and knee hab #1, 26 minutes, 66 calories. I went back and did the Yoga Tune up shoulders 10 minute later, but didn't count it. Time was 81 minutes, 340 calories. My plan for tomorrow is to do upper body weights. My Fitness Pal has been weird lately. It keeps putting my workouts in separately and sometimes repeatedly posting my workout on the home page. I deleted 3 posts and it took out all of them. I just left it like that. Also this morning I finished logging yesterday and it didn't post till I did it again awhile ago. I see some others have double posting too. I

Belinda, you will get the workouts straightened out :) I am here, just forgot to push the post button yesterday. Trying to get the computer tech place to call me back. I got their answering machine when I called the office.

Doreen, Yvette Bachman has some good workouts, but they are pretty intense and have a lot of impact from what I have seen.

Diane Sue - oops! LOL, that is defiantly a typo :( I should pull that one out soon, haven't done Zero to Sixty in years. I believe there are premixes on that one too? WTG, today.

Diane Sue - I been having the same problem with my JumpSport. Weird! Mixes Impact is a tough one with all that high impact. I still can't get myself to do them, my neighbor left them weeks ago :( Did you preorder Cathe's new workouts? We have someone come out tomorrow to check our internet, it keeps going out on us. Very frustrating. Hope your computer gets fixed soon.

Dorren - you are right my body doesn't know or care that you went out of order!! What happened I decided not to take a recovery week after M2, all my workouts were already listed in the WM. I moved all the workouts around and didn't see it was out of order. Oh well! It's all good. Great job, girl!

Belinda, I have not pre-ordered yet. I want the new workouts, but have so many other things to pay for right now, it is hard to justify the money on them. Maybe later?? So you notice the knees with the jump sport? I thought maybe the softer bounce with the bungees might be better. I don't think it is so much the impact as it is the push off with the balance issue on my knee. I used it some for the Fit Split mixed impact (only a little) and I was fine. I think the moving the feet in and out and higher jumps just does something to my previous torn miniscus knee. Sometimes I am good with it. The workout I started was just increasing the intensity when I decided I had better stop. Not worth the pain. I was feeling great when I got up this morning and the Yoga Tune Up knee hab prehab massage work with the tune up balls has always been great for helping out the stiffness and soreness from the hips all the way down. Do you have that one? I always like the part at the end where you also roll out the foot around the fascia as well. That was my favorite post surgery work. One of the women on another check in posted that YouTube has Zero to Sixty on it. Yes there are premixes. I used that one quite a bit doing the premix lighter weight (2#) cardio one quite a bit when recovering my knee post surgery.

Diane Sue - I hear you on the new workouts. I can't justify the money on buying more dvd's. I will wait for more info, clips and the crew. I am not the only one that thinks one of her crew member has really bad form :) People on the VF forum and 2lazyforthegym both mention. Zero to Sixty is a great workout, need to pull it out soon.

This morning I did Jillian Michaels new workout - Lift and Shred level one - which I found on youtube. I actually thought it to be one of Jillian's better workouts. It seems that at last she has embraced the heavy lifting concept and exchanged her combo moves for some straightforward lifting. It kinda of reminded me of a KCM workout. Effective moves with heavy weight. Although her cast only had 15#s as the "heavy" - which she gives Kenta a hard time about because you can tell he is clearly not challenged - I was able to use 25#, 30# and even a 40#. She talks the entire time but I wasn't annoyed with it as I usually am. I wanted to do it asap because I'm pretty sure the youtube police will make it be deleted!! I one found the entire series of Black Fire from Daily Burn on youtube and within a week they were all deleted and the playlist I created was all "deleted video"

Good morning,

ICE Rock'm and Sock'm Kickboxing is doen.

Doreen - now I have to look on YT :) Nicely done.

Waving hi to everyone that checks in after me.

I have been busy with trying to get things taken care of with my husbands laptop and now his vehicle is having problems again . Nothing is solved after much talking on the phone and texting. I will be left without my car tomorrow and no way to do errands if needed. :(

Doreen, I have several Jillian dvds, but have never held much love for her personality. Nice that you found a new one to try. The ones I used the most were her yoga cardio type workouts.

Belinda, the Ice kickboxing is pretty good for not having loads of impact. Nice work today.

Diane Sue - so sorry you having trouble with the lap top. Hope you get your car soon. What a bummer :( Great job on your workouts today.

So I started a full round of XTrain. Today is Day 4: Bi's and Tri's. Will probably make some substitutions in the go of this rotation every now and then so I'm not repeating the same 9 workouts for 90 days! Wondering if I should pick up Flex Train as a sub for Supercuts? I already have LIS Athletic Training. Do I need Flex Train too? Someone talk me out of it please :)

Yamabachi- I would think you could sub in LIS Athletic Training for Flex Train. Consider your self "talked out" :) (I do like Flex Train though - it doesn't use the step if I remember right and LIS Athletic does)

This morning I was in the mood for easy cardio so I pulled out Low Impact Challenge.

I did X train All Out Low Impact step using the step at 6 inches, 41 minutes, 261 calories, heart rate average 125, max 155, 2,974 steps. I then did Strong and Sweaty Bonus abs, 13 minutes, 57 calories, and finished off with Les Mill Flow (yoga) 21 minutes, 46 calories. I also did Knee hab prehab again. Total time 75 minutes, 364 calories.

Belinda, nice work on almost completing STS !

Yamabachi, it seems like you could sub in any of Cathe's metabolic workouts for Supercuts. Flex Train is a good one as well. I think I like Supercuts better myself. Athletic Step does use a step and they raise it to 3 risers after the first section. I love Afterburn from Low Impact series myself. Since I do not know what you have it is hard to make any other recommendations.

Doreen, Low Impact Challenge can be a fun one. :)

Thanks ladies! I have been talked out of getting FlexTrain. I do also have Afterburn, and it occurred to me that I could probably sub in some of my Firm DVDs too. Those ladies from South Carolina were doing metabolic before it was a thing after all.

And how can I resist when they promise "Visible results in 10 workouts!" LOL. Who is old enough to get that reference??

Yamabachi, I have seen that statement many times, right along with burn a 1000 calories in a workout. I really did love the original Firm workouts. I did the original first one with Susan Harris. Clothing and jewelry seemed kind of funny since things have changed so much. Most of those statements are dependent on the person and their fitness level, weight, diet etc.
