Lifting Weights

I haven't posted anything myself here yet except for a quick couple of comments to others. I am hoping that someone will have some advice for me. I am 31 weeks pregnant. I have been having really bad low back/hip pain. So bad I am barely sleeping. Maybe 2 hours per night tops. I used the pillow between my legs while lying on my side. I have been working out. Yoga for preganancy really does help. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I also was wondering how much weight you can safely lift while weight training. I want to keep things worked out because I fear if I don't then my back/hip pain will be even worse.
If anyone has any advice for my it would be greatly appreciated. I don't know how I'll get through the last 9 weeks with this pain.

Not sure what you'd think about this, but..... here's my 2 cents:

Get yourself to a chiropractor! I see mine on a weekly basis. I don't always need an adjustment but it makes me feel so good. :) You're doing a great thing by putting pillows between your knees. This is actually something everyone should do, even non-pregs.

Not sure on how much to lift. I'm 5 weeks long and this is something I worry about too. Many have said you'll just "know" - hopefully that's true. A friend here gave me some links to look at - I'll try to post them for you later.

Thanks so much for your reply. I will check out those links when you have a chance to post them. Congratulations to you!

If you are having hip and back pain I dont know if weightlifting is the best excercise for you. Maybe more pilates and yoga would better suit you right now.
