Lifting like girls

This week has been mostly heavy weights. Upper, lower, rinse repeat. Kinda dragging butt this week, so this worked for me.

Always there, can’t get away from it.

Arm day, shorter than usual and just 7 sets.
3x15 skullcrushers/ 3x15 db curls 4x10 pushdowns/ 4x10 hammercurls and that was it! Rained bunches yesterday and yep, wet basement....getting used to it! I'm up at Mayo for the semi annual stuff, then back to St Louis for a breasts cancer walk. Have a great weekend friends!
 
Quickie db upper body workout at the hotel. Db shoulder press db bench curls and skullcrushers. Even though yesterday was arm day, just couldn't resist given em another shot! Off to pee in a cup and bloodwork then a visit with rheum!! Hope y'all have a great weekend!
 
Karen, lol on the cycle of water and power bills. You've got this down to a science. A true engineer.

Another short week coming up. DW has her 50 year high school reunion so started on Sunday with back and bis 10 sets back, 4sets chins, 3sets pullover and 3 sets lat pulldowns. Bis were 3 sets db curls, 2sets hammer curls and a set of conc curls to finish. Tomorrow will be chest and tris. Hope the weekend treated y'all well!!
 
Oh Tom! Thanks for the reminder. My 50 year reunion is next year. Damn!!!! That 50 years went fast. Thanks for the walk. Lost a sister to breast cancer. I think I need to see someone. Winter was brutal for me, and my joints have started to hurt. Both parents had arthritis, and I think I need to just come to grips, that I am not 20 any more. Not all joints, just left wrist, and both thumbs.
Anyway, still doing Julia, but today was a Lauren Brooks workout. That's all I got. Make it great! Tomorrow!
 
Karen, Arthritis sucks!! The "base of thumb" variety is rampant in dentistry and I modify a lot! Hope who ever you see can help you out!
Today was chest and some tris. 11 sets bench up to dubs at 215 and 220, 205x5 180x7 160x7 135x12 and Inc flys x12 (45s). I finished with 3x12 skullcrushers and that was it for tris, was a little short on time. I used small block under shirt for all sets down to 180. (on bar) and 160 and 135 I was able to get the bar to chest.
All for me, will TRY to do some legs tomorrow. I am having son 1 check my right hip out this fall....hope I dont need a new one!! Hang in there friends!!
 
Today was a bwt leg day, squats x50 30 30/ single leg calf raises x50 30 30/ static lunges x25 20 20 and finished with a 2min plank.....that's all folks!! Not much, but slept in since I didn't get to sleep until about 2:30 it was the best I could do, trading 5:00 for 6:00! Shooting for shoulders tomorrow...hopefully! All I got friends!
 
Great work, friends! Sorry to hear about the aches and pains. It's part of being a warrior but it still sucks. Tom, is your son an ortho surgeon? I know your other DS is a lawyer. Karen, do you think the arthritis is simply weather related since it's been ridiculously wet outside this year?

It's been a hodge podge week. Metabolic on Monday, legs yesterday, and more metabolic today. Some of my own stuff and some from Sydney Cummings YouTube. She's been doing a summertime 3 month challenge on her channel and I have been "loosely" following along. So glad it's Wednesday but dreading tha
 
Well Lisa, it’s really hard to say about these aches and pains. They hit about February or March, and now it’s an everyday thing. Ok in the morning, gets worse as the day goes on. Bad news after a workout. But, I’m not going to stop working out.
Yesterday was a Forest Vance hybrid (KB and barbell) lower body workout. Today was Julia “Full Body Pyramid Pairs.”
Keep living the dream, guys!
 
Lisa, yes he is, and sports med was his fellowship.... but I'm so old I probably need a joint guy! He said they will decide whether it's arthritis ( with ya Karen) or bursitis. If it's arthritis, probably a new one is in my future...if bursitis, maybe injections will help.
Arm day today, 20 sets and all superset. 4x10 skullcrushers/4x10 ez bar curls, 3x10 pushdowns/3x10 db curls, 2x10 kickbacks/2x10 hammer curls and finished with 15 tri pushups/ BB 21s. Yesterday I did 13 chin ups before work and could have maybe done a couple of more. Some days 8 seems hard some days they come easier. I guess I should be happy I can do some still! I've decided we ROCK!! We conquer kids, medical ailments and all else to be the "BADA$$ES" we are!!!! Keep killin it ladies!
 
Karen, hopefully it is just seasonal, or perhaps manageable with supplements or something? My friend has turned me on to some Thorne brand supplements for inflammation and Lyme disease (which I think I have but have never been officially diagnosed because it's so difficult to do, or to find a specialist here in Timbuck Two). The supplements help me a lot. No doubt you'll keep going with those workouts. You have a mind and body of steel.

Cool that your son can help you out, Tom. Should I be wishing for bursitis for you over arthritis then? Not sure which is "better?" Geez, sending support your way. As with Karen, your iron brain and iron heart will keep you moving.

Today was a total body weights day. Yesterday was cardio.

Chest and tris, 12 sets bench up to 205x3 215x2 225x1 205x3 then coming down sets at 185 and175 155 135 without the block. Tris were 3 sets skullcrushers and 1 set pushdowns. The reunion was fun but got home late Sunday so "mailed it in" Monday!! Keep killin it friends!!
