Life's not so bad after all.....

MAYNARDSMOM

Cathlete
I have a freind who at the age of 22 she had breast cancer & had a double mastecomy. Since then she has moved out to Colorado with her now 7 yr old son & also got married. It seemed her life was really turning around & she was happy!
About 4 weeks ago she had another biopsy & received the news she never wanted to hear again...she had cancer again. She is only 26 yrs old!! She has since started her chemo treatments. I just viewed the pictures she posted on facebook of her head shaving party. The pictures were great!! It was the entire family, she let her son cut some of her hair with a smile on her face the entire time. She was laughing & they were having fun with buzzing shapes into her head. Then the boys took a turn & cut theirs as well. She's laughing & in control & I sat here crying for her.
I guess my stupid little problems are not so horrible anymore! Please keep her in your prayers. Thanks everyone.

Yes, Tami, everything gets put into perspective with a situation like this. Prayers and hugs to your friend and her family, and you as well.

Count your blessings!

Tami I can absolutely relate. My sister was recently diagonosed with what her doctor called an aggressive form of breast cancer. My mom had breast cancer at the same age. Another sister died at 27 from Leukemia. This has freaked me out a lot lately in regard to family genetics. It also has put MY life into perspective. I count my blessings daily. What a positive attitude your friend has having a head shaving party.

Prayers to you and your friend.
