LIC or BM2?

Drill Max really got me into the circuit training thing but it's been downhill from there. I guess when you start w/the best you're destined for disappointment. I liked Circuit Max, but I tried SJP & Bootcamp, didn't do much for me.

I want to really feel the burn on Saturday--how tough are LIC & BM2? I think I finally have all the equipment for them.......should I try one or should I just stick w/DM?

I would get Body Max 2. It's a tougher workout than LIC. It's also longer (97 minutes for whole workout) compared to LIC's 75 minutes. I usually don't have time to do the whole workout. I've only done it twice in its entirety but the premixes are great. I like the music and the choreography much better in BM2. Also, I like the upper body work on the ball. It's 20 minutes and it goes by very quickly. I also think the ab work in BM2 is tougher. LIC abs aren't too tough except for the banana holds. Also, the blasts in BM2 really get my heart rate up high.

Well, DrillMax is the toughest of the bunch, so you're going to have a hard time topping that one. However, of the two you selected, I LURVE Body Max 2. I found that the Scrambled Eggs premix is REALLY awesome. It's set up like an IMAX, so it's more intense.

Anyway, good luck!

BM2 is probably my second favorite workout, with DM coming in first! LIC is very good, especially for the less intense days.

Go for it...buy BM2!!!

To me, Drill max is easier than BM2 especially after doing Cardio Fusion.
My vote is BM2 all the way, LIC is easier but still fun.

LOL Anne, you're such an inspiration! :+

I already own both workouts & I finally have dumbells up to 12 lbs. I think the max dumbells in BM2 are 15? That 6 lbs will make a difference but since I'm a BM2 virgin I'm willing to give it a shot w/the lighter weights.

Just trying to schedule my routine this w/e. So BM2 it is.........here's hoping it kicks my butt......;-)

I would definitely go with Body Max2. It's an awesome, challenging workout. It's fun, tough, and the music rocks!!! This is in my Top 3 list :)

Just did BM2 this morning. I do love it but it doesn't quite have the "fun factor" of DM. Then again, I am not sure how much fun a 97 minute workout really is...;-)

I love all three, but when Cathe says in the BM2 warmup "Are you ready for a 90-minute workout!?" I think "No!"

Let us know how you faired!

BM2. I think the endurance factor alone will kill you }( By the time I'm halfway through the leg blast circuits, I'm starting to hit a wall. I use 10, 15, & 20 lbs for upper body work. Depends how heavy you are accostomed to lifting. I might at least get the 15s if I were you. I suspect 12s will be too light (of course if you don't get them, just do double upper body..) Hee. Have fun ;)

Crap! No place close by to find 15-20 lb dumbells by tomorrow morning.........can they be subbed w/body bars or the barbell?

Laura, I use 20s for the double armed rows sitting on the ball. You could always nix the ball and just do rows with the barbell if necessary or hold two lighter in each hand. I do that sometimes. I use 15 or 20 for the pullovers and chest flies on the ball (depending upon how I am feeling). You could certainly use the barbell or body bar for pullovers. She does 15s for overhead shoulder presses seated on the ball. Again you can sub. I think you can find your way around most of the exercises if need be to get a feel for where you are. Shouldn't be a problem.

Great, thanks Debbie, I can definitely double up the 10s for the rows & pullovers........not sure how to get around the flies, but I don't care much b/c I consider chest my least important body part (no worries about sagging & certainly not trying to build much muscle there). Can definitely sub the barbell for the military presses.

OK now I'm excited! Can't wait to try this one...........:)
