Good Morning gals

Today was 4DS chest and back, pushup challenge (yes I am too anal and did the challenge!) and 2 sets of chins and neg. pullups. I was only able to do 2 sets of 3 of chinups and 3 neg. pullups. I haven't done them in a month. I did go higher than Cathe for all the weight work:) and I did the pushups in the workout because yes... I am anal:( :eek: but I was able to do them all with no problem, so I am happy:D!! Some of the exersises on 4ds are the same as PS but didn't go as heavy as I was in PS since we are doing more reps (I did 75# chest press with PS but only 65# today) I don't think I will go as high because of that, we'll see. Hope that makes sense:eek:

Just for the heck of it, I looked for Cathes Sept. rotation this morning, and it wasn't posted. I was surprised. Hopefully she is working her little tush off on sts and was too busy to post one.

Gin~ What fun cardio did you do today? How is your son? everything well I hope.

I ran this morning and then did 4ds Double Cardio (LIS/HIS) and LIS abs. I decided to do a longer workout since I had the extra time today.

Deanie~ WTG girl on the extra pushups!!:eek: And 75# for chest press?!?! YIKESEEEDOODLE!!! You are the woman!
DS is fine thank you for asking.
You know when I am doing the assisted chins and pulls I have my toes touching a chair. I am not nearly strong enough to pull my entire body weight up, but I figure that I am working something.:)
I am also curious about Cathe's Sept rotation.

Nothing going on today, finishing my book, reading out on the deck. The kids are wandering around the neighborhood having fun:):)

Good Afternoon!

I started my new rotation today and did Squeeze. The shoulder exercises are killer! Started with 5# and had to go down to 3# and even had to rest a couple of times. I was definitely feeling like all my muscles were on fire. Couldn't wait until each section was done. Biceps section was kind of weak and had no back exercises. Also did 3 chinups.

Here are the results of last month's rotation:

Not exactly the results I was looking for but still wound up with good results.

Waist - lost 1/2"
Hips - stayed the same:(
Under chest - same
Across chest - lost 1/2"
above chest - lost 1/2"
Biceps - same
R inner thigh - lost 1/4"; everything else on my thighs stayed the same.

Lost 3# and bodyfat went down 2%.:p

This was one of my favorite rotations I've ever done. Had lots of fun. Did a lot of workouts I hadn't done in a long time.

I am also looking forward to seeing Cathe's Sept. rotation.

Deanie - You are the woman for pushups! I'm sure you'll have no problem with pushups in STS. I am also impressed with your 75# chest press. I actually wish Cathe would come out with a PS2. They are just the right amount of reps for me and the workouts go nice and quickly.

Gin - I'm glad your DS is doing well. Chinups take a long time so don't get discouraged.

Good Morning

Today is 45 min on the treadmill and sm#3. I've got some dom's in my chest today - really, should I be surprised?!LOL:rolleyes: I'm posting early, got a very busy day today, and at school its conferences starting at 9:15. that's where we meet the kids and parents (mom) one on one and discuss any issues we need to be aware of for the coming year.

Still no rotation from Cathe... surprised:eek:

Gin~ enjoy bi/tri I think its the hardest weight work of the series.:) glad ds is doing well

Marcy~ You did well with last months rotation! and good job with the chins. I really need to work on those. I watched the clip again last night and Cathe does 12 in 30 seconds. I'm thinking maybe I need to practice that way and change my bar so it hangs lower like the tower cathe has. It even seems she had a hard time pushing out 12!!

Hi Ladies!

Today was Tracey's Cardio Sweatfest Kickbox. I had a really good workout. I made a mistake yesterday - Squeeze had backwork. I forget what it was but I was definitely feeling it this morning. Cardio Sweatfest is basically all low impact which works great for me. She does about 7 combos with slow and fast tempos. The fast stuff really works your core and she does different kind of blocks than Cathe usually does. Only the 7th combo tripped me up a little - the same one I had problems with last time I did this. There is lots of kicking and punching in this. I also did 2 chinups again today.

I went to another agency interview today. He actually had an actual job that he plans on sending me too. So many of the ads just seem to be repostings and it gets very frustrating. I have another agency interview tomorrow and I'm still waiting to hear about Friday's interview.

Deanie - Thanks! I think it also might be a good idea to lower your bar a bit. I have no way to lower mine so I'll have to continue doing them as I have been.

Gin - Enjoy your birthday dinner! Sounds like you had a tough workout today.

Good Morning

Today was 4DS bi/tri and pushup challenge. the whole workout only took about 30min and I still had time, so I added on ss bi/tri work! Ouchie Mama;) I will be adding in SS at the end of the weight work (as the original rotation called for) for everything but chest and back (there are only 2 excersises, hardly worth it? we'll see:p) My arms are shakin'!!:eek:I used higher weights than cathe for 4ds, but the same on ss! really surprised myself:eek:

Gin~ I hope you had a nice bday dinner. What cardio did you do today?

Marcy~ sounds like a fun workout for you yesterday. GOOD LUCK with the interviews today. This could be your week!!:)

Good Morning!

Today was DM drills and then CM tough abs. Good under 1 hour workout.
I met with 2 of my former running friends last night for dinner and we decided to start run/walking on Saturdays with the possibility of training for a half marathon. I am excited to do this, but of course concerned about the possibility of injury and it would mess up my rotation and how about STS?!?!? We'll see.:)
I subbed in the aft in a 1st grade classroom and all I have to say is that I am glad I am teacing Kinder.:)

Deanie~Way to go with heavier weights than Cathe!!:eek: How was the conference time?

Marcy~Sounds like you have a lot of job possibilities now. Good Luck!!:)

Good Morning

Today was RS and tough abs from coremax (had extra time and knew I'd be running late tomorrow with Mahjong tonight) FUN!! I really enjoy RS:)

Gin~ Love DM cardio. I guess y ou would be okay with all the running if that's all the cardio you do. think about it... change is good;) HOw was shoulders today? short and sweet?

Marcy~ Missed you yesterday, hope you are interviewing and getting job offers!! I think I would like to create my own chinup/pull up challenge.... will think about how to do that...

Good Morning!

Today I did Day 3 of pushup challenge, SS shoulders, 4ds shoulders, SM1 and 6 very assisted chins and pulls.
I think it is easier ( mentally and physically) to do one or two body parts a day. What do you guys think?
Tues. I had to sub in the aft in the 1st grade classroom and again today. I did not like it.:( I may have to again tomorrow, but then that is it.:) Not sure what it is, but I just don't like it as well. Okay...enough complaining!

Deanie~Enjoy Mahjong tonight! Glad you enjoyed RS. How is your class this year? How are your boys doing wit their new classes?

Hi Ladies!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. It was very hectic. I took a rest day yesterday because my whole body was achy, especially my inner thighs (so I couldn't imagine doing a Pure Barre workout!) I was interviewing all day yesterday and did about 3 hours worth of testing. I think I've tested more in the last 4 months than in all my years of school!

But, I FINALLY GOT A JOB!!! I start tomorrow. It's at a construction litigation law firm and I'll be working for two of the nicest attorneys. One of them said the worst thing about the position is that I might get bored! The pay is what I was looking for and the benefits are pretty good. I heard from the recruiter that they were bowled over with me.

Anyway, back to workouts. I did the kickboxing portion (47 mins.) of Absolute Kickboxing with Kimberly Spreeen and then I did Magically Bliss Hips (55 mins.) from Eoin Finn's PY4H. I really needed some good stretches for my hips and glutes. Also did 2 chinups today and 2 on Tuesday.

Tomorrow, I'll probably do P90X Upper Body Plus.

Deanie - Great workout yesterday! Good luck with your chinup rotation. I just fit them in whenever I'm in the mood and am feeling strong. RS is great! I didn't realize how much I missed it.

Gin - Good work with the assisted chins/pulls! Sorry you didn't enjoy your subbing. I also think it's easier doing only 1 or 2 parts a day. I agree with Deanie that you could still do STS and then just do running for cardio.

I don't know when I'll be checking in after today but I will keep in touch. My hours are 9:30 - 6. Pretty much the same as before but an extra half hour at the end of the day. I'll try and sign in before I leave for work but I don't know if I'll be able to. If I don't check in tomorrow, I will on the weekend.

Gin~ I totally agree about doing one or two body parts a day!!

I'm wondering... if Marcy is not going to check in on a daily basis, if we just want to all check in with an already ongoing thread (maybe the daily check in? I do that one also) I feel like none of us are really around much anymore... you gals have longer hours and next week I have 3 days till 2 with sports practices and lessons (guitar and hebrew) starting.

Hi Ladies!

I'm having a great first day. Not too busy. Just training. I will most likely check in every day; I just wasn't sure for the first few days. I think a weekly thread is still a good idea but if you want to check in on the daily check-in, I'm fine with that too.

I did P90X Upper Plus today. Tough workout (especially the chins and pulls). I didn't go too high with the weights because it was endurance and my elbow was starting to strain again. I also did the Total Body workout from 10 Mins. Rapid Results Pilates.

Deanie - Glad you had a good workout.

Gin - Did you have a nice birthday dinner? Are you still planning on doing the marathon? What workout did you do today?

Hi Girls!

This morning I was so tired that I almost talked myself out of my workout, but I made myself get up and do it. It was a short one....SS legs and 4ds legs. Tomorrow is yoga and my friends decided that next Sat is better to start our run/walk.

Deanie~So is this the death of our "Let's Go" thread??:( I sure hope that you both will still be posting over at the Daily Check-in. Otherwise I will miss you!:( So glad you like your class. How many do you have? And I forgot. Do you teach 4 year olds again? Where are you on the pushup challenge? I'll bet it is a piece of cake for you!!:)

Marcy~Glad you also are having a good first day of work. Do you like the others that you are working with? Is the work similar to what you were doing in NY? I did have a nice b-day dinner, thank you. I am going out with friends next week also for another b-day dinner. It's fun to spread the celebrating out, don't you think?:) I have not decided if I will do the half marathon or not. We'll see. Maybe just the 10K.

Good Morning gals

Today was 4DS legs and SS legs, with chins and pullups added in. I did 3 chins and 3 neg. pullups before 4DS, after the calves work, and at the end of SS legs; which I had to finish the last 2 sets of explosive lunges on my own,- the power went off for a minute, and when it came back on the dvd player didn't start up again!:mad:

Guys~ I am good with continueing (sp?) the thread on a weekly basis if you all are. I jsut thought with Marcy not checking in daily, and Gin and I out all day, it was kinda silly to keep it going. i'm more than happy to continue though- your call:)

Gin~ glad you are still enjoying your birthday;) Good for you for your workout yesterday!! I just can't get motivated in the evenings. I am starting week 3 of the pushup challenge on Monday. Your right- its not that challenging to me so far. I thought by the end of the challenge we would be able to do 100 pushups in a row, but turns out (if I read it correctly) you just will do 100 pushups. Apparently you could take a break (small) and then continue to reach 100. Does that make sense:confused:? I probably could do that now. But I started it, so I will finish it. couldn't hurt!!:p I do like my class, 4 year olds and there are 16 of them. It is an adjustment to working with just the 2 teachers (me and the lead teacher). Last year there were 2 teachers and 1 asst. and things just ran smoother. i'm sure it will be fine, once we get a full week under our belt. How is the pushup challenge going for you?

Marcy~ I'm glad you are enjoying your job! You must be so happy to have somewhere to go in the mornings!!LOL. Is the job close to your home? Did your DH find anything yet?

Linda from the chinner thread sent me a workout with HEAVY weights that she was doing which I am considering doing. if you guys are interested in seeing it, I can email you. It has you doing sets of 5 reps sets of 12 reps, but mostly I think its heavier lifting. Its also full body, which I like. Still have some questions for her, but it looks interesting. (also includes pushups and chinups and pull ups)

DS12 is trying out for the softball team!! Tryouts started last week and go thru this coming week. he thinks he will make the team! keep your fingers crossed for him!!:) He poo-pooed softball last year, but then he found out the coach for the baseball team of the hhigh school, scouts out the players in middle school, so now he wants to play! (He really wants to play baseball in high school and college!! ) I never even thought about the next years grade let alone college when I was in 7th grade!!!LOL;)

Okay, I think I am all caught up! Miss "chatting" like this during the week. I just never seem to have a.m. time anymore! I hope you all see this, and like I said, I am all for continueing if we all are checking in!!!:):D
 
Good Morning!

I just finished BB's Unlocking Athletic Power yoga. May walk later. I just re-worked the rotation for this week. Friday I have to be at school at 7:15 for a mtg. and Sat I plan to walk/run with my friends so I had to alter the week a little. I just ordered Classical Stretch for athletes after another Catheite highly recommneded it.
I have a lot to do today and don't like to run errands on Sat but have no choice now.
I had a bad headache 4 days this past week.....BLAH!!:confused:

Deanie~Could we just continue our thread for a few more weeks and then decide? I know I can probably only post once a day.
I figured the pushup challenge would not be a problem for you. You are so incredibly strong! It is challenging for me though!:eek: Does the heavy weight workout you were talking about use Cathe workouts? Is so, I may be interested. That is great your ds wants to continue to play baseball on through college. There were a few boys on ds's high school team that played in college. Exciting! I'm sure he will have no trouble making the softball team!

Gin~ I'm good with the thread for another week or so:) Sorry about your headaches. Do you find you get them more when the weather changes/seasonal changes? Have fun with your errands- I also prefer doing them during the week, but I don't think I will be doing that this year either. I have to go food shopping tomorrow and I hate doing it with the crowds on sunday. It is raining like crazy here and I am procrasinating- I really should be doing--> Clean Max!!!:p
