I had the best Shaun T work out this am.....I did the Cardio Core Balance and then did Insane Abs(came w/deluxe edition).....it was AMAZING!!! I really loved this workout....the Insane ABS is AWESOME!!!! REALLY new stuff and hard...makes you totally feel it....WOW do I feel good!!! Off to shower...
oh yeah, thank you all for your support...using Cathe's nutrition web site has workouted out great the past few days....have a great day!

Elena - wtg on CCB & Insane Abs. I'm looking forward to CCB next week and of course all the 2nd month workouts :)

I was dragging booty this morning since I didn't go to bed until 10:30 (which is late for me) since I watched "17 Again" - cute movie, btw. PCC is done and didn't do as great on the ski abs & in/outs as last time, but still a great sweaty workout and I'm worked all over. Definitely looking forward to CR tomorrow :D

Off to shower and tackle the day :eek::cool:

Hmmmm! Sounds like everyone likes Core Cardio and Balance so far. I was planning on doing it 2 to 3 times for RW. Perhaps I will wind up doing it 3. :D

Like Jennifer I was up late (my excuse was to finish a book). I was supposed to do CR, but knew I was going to Cathe's Push-Pull instead. I did the upper body 2 set premix. That felt really good. I miss weight work.

Horseshow Mom, you mentioned you ordered the deluxe DVDs. Did you just order the whole package, or can you just order the deluxe DVDs individually?
 
Today was PCC for me. It was good except for the ski abs at the end. I am not sure what I will do tomorrow since it is CR for me.

Elena, I can't wait for Month 2 but Month 1 is keeping me really busy. Thanks for the review of Insane Abs. I am glad the nutrition site is helping.
Jennifer, I did PCC too and struggled on the abs at the end. Hopefully I will do better when I do this workout again on Saturday.
Dawn, I am not sure if you can order the deluxe DVDs individually - I ordered mine at the same time as the rest of the set.

So, I have been doing insanity for 2 weeks now, following the rotation, and I am not getting the results I get when I do Cathe's workouts. It's disappointing because I really like insanity.

How long did it take before you saw results?

Just finished Pure cardio and Cardio abs and once again it feels just awesome. I have trouble with the double leg in/out/up/down because my hip flexors are always yelling to me at the end of any insanity workout, so i decided to to do Cardio abs before Pure Cardio and I felt the workout went much better.

Nico: I got results within the first 10 days.... lost 4 pounds and felt a definite tightening in the core region. I have been following the nutrition guide and at this point, 4 weeks into the program I have lost 8 pounds and my "skinny pants" are starting to get loose. When i did STS, I gained 8 pounds and my legs bulked up. With Insanity, I am slimming down in the thighs but maintaining the muscle gains i made in STS. I seem to have responded well to Insanity, but I can tell you it has been 5 years since I have done this much high impact work 6 days a week. I am usually a 3 day high intensity/ 3 day steady state -endurance-cardio/ 4 day heavy weight person and I think the shock of high intensity cardio so often as jolted my body. Funny how people respond differently to any given program.

Deluxe dvds can be ordered seperately for 44.95 plus 12.95 shipping and handling. I didn't actually place the order because the s&h charge is making me choke. I ordered the P90X PLUS dvds and had a special offer for priority shipping for $5 total s&h! If you contact customer service they'll take care of it for you. I will probably cave and order them soon though.

My PT report is good...no injury.....yet! With all my running, I have way overdeveloped my quads and lost a lot of glute, hip, and hamstring strength....I've been slacking on the weights lately, focusing on cardio. Now I'm paying for it. I have to focus on a lot of those *boring* unglamorous exercises....lying side leg lifts (I'm thinking firewalkers would be excellent as well!) hamstring curls, need to use the gym abductor/adductor machines. No plyometrics for a week or two. She wants me to focus on engaging the weak muscles and building them then have me bring in the INSANITY fit test dvd so she can watch me perform the moves and correct my form.....that's kind of cool actually! Sort of personal training covered by insurance! :D

I didn't get one in. The next few days are going to be crazy. All of a sudden, summer is over, and the girls are actually leaving!

Good Evening Y'allllll!!

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, but I did get my workout done: CPR and STS M2, Disc 16: triceps.

This morning was Pure Cardio. No STS today. I did some vinyasa yoga to warm up for the PC workout. PC seems to be the workout that makes me hungriest for the rest of the day. It went well, for my 2nd time through. I'm LOVING how short these workouts are! They're over before you know it, so I don't have to pace myself; I can give it all I've got. I finish feeling so much more energized. Those push ups jacks at the end of PC are SUCH a challenge by that point, aren't they? Evil Shaun T :p .

Tomorrow is Plyo Cardio Circuit, and STS Disc 18 - Biceps. Doing all three cardios on consecutive days is adding another layer of intensity to the workouts. My quads, glutes and hip flexors aren't going to have tons of gas in them, but I'll do my best. It's only 25mins of actual cardio, right??

Nico - I'm a week and a half into Month 1 workouts, and I've been following the meal plan quite strictly for 2 weeks. According to their formula, I need to eat 1887 cals/day. Their meal plan gives you 300cals x 5 meals = 1500 cals/day. I add another 300 cals as a pre-workout snack. I workout at 6am, before breakfast. So I eat a PowerBar Harvest Bar at 5:30, and have an energy drink during/right after my workout. That gives me a 100cal margin for the day, which I put towards things like having a piece of dark chocolate after lunch, or some such treat. I'm feeling really good, eating this way. While I hit some hungry patches during the day, I'm not feeling chronically underfed, and I have good mental energy for my work. And the weight seems to be slowly coming off. I was down 1.6 pounds after the first week. While the exercise is important to fire up the metabolism for calorie burning, there's no doubt that the nutrition end is even more important. If you haven't been following a plan of some sort, you might want to consider it. If you have been following a plan, then perhaps it's time to change it. It's terribly frustrating to work this hard and not see any change!!
