Good Morning All!!

Cardio Recovery done:) It was a nice stretch except for those squat pulses :mad: Love balance poses so I was happy about those. I had considered tacking on the upper body weights workout today, but then figured I should wait since I'll need to save my energy for Pure Cardio tomorrow - I'm scared :eek:

Kariev: I KWYM re that feeling like when you first started working out. I related the endorphin high after the plyo cardio workout to my runner's high over 8 years ago.

Jenny: Yum, that shake recipe sounds good - I have one every morning with just bananas, frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, ice and a DanActive yogurt. May need to try the Shakeology if I can justify the price to DH.

Ffte: It depends on how hot the weather is. Mybe just take the workout with you and see how you feel, if not, then do it on Sunday. I'm going on vacation the following weekend and will bring the workouts with me - hopefully I can stay on track.

Brenda: Yep, Pure Cardio is scaring me. Way to go :D

Yesterday was my rest day. Today is CPR (I think??). I have to admit I'm procrastinating this morning because I know how HARD this is going to be.:eek: Even though I know I'll feel great when it's OVER it's still INSANE at the time. Guess that's why I bought it.;)
 
Good Morning everyone
Today was Day 6 Plyo Circuit and I just finished the workout. I can't believe I actually started an Insanity workout before 9AM... I have a loof errands to do today on my day off work. I must say I found this workout to be fairly tame after Pure Cardio. I was absolutely enjoying the water breaks again!!
I did not incorporate weight work this first week, I wanted to see how I handled these workouts and I will start adding 4DS weights in week 2 and continue those for the rest of the series. The pushups and body weight exercises I have seen so far aren't enough to maintain my STS results:)

Good morning. I was running late this morning. I didn't sleep well so the extra walk time was abandoned since I had trouble yanking myself out of bed. I did Cardio recovery and and extra 1.25 mile walk (with 2 "mild" sprints) on the treadmill.

Have Fun, that's actually what I was planning for the weekend. I guess I was looking for someone to push me over the edge to make sure I got it done this weekend. It may be a moot point since they are talking scattered T-Storms for the weekend. :mad:

I am starting to agree with everyone that this series could use more upper body work. I'll have to start adding it next week.

Hopefully I'll sleep better tonight so I'm ready for PC.

Glad to hear everyone had a great workout.

No insanity for me today (thank goodness) Today i did ME minus chest and ab work. I followed that with 30 minutes on the elliptical and while i was doing that i watched the insanity sports conditioning workout which looks insane of course. Tomorrow is pure cardio and one of the ab workouts. I'm pretty scared about pure cardio. Based on everyones comments and my preview of the disc it looks terrible! LOL. Hope you ladies are doing well.
 
Well I'm very proud of myself, I pushed my butt out of bed at 4:50AM to get that Pure Cardio workout in and I did it!!! I also did the Cardio Abs, and I have to say I think I like Cathe ab routines better. I'm going on vacation next week, so Im thinking that when I get back I'm going to start a rotation using STS Meso 1 and use Insanity on the off days as my Cardio....any thoughts??? I really would love to lean out a bit and I think this might be a good combo????

I like this idea and was thinking of doing this myself. Meso 1 was my favorite and i feel my body responds best to this rep range. While i do like doing the 2 full body workouts per week i really miss targeted workouts for muscle groups. I have thought about doing this very thing you mention (minus chest work) on M,W,F followed by 30 minutes of cardio and then on T and Th do my intensity workouts and mabe the recovery workout on sat or sun. I haven't done cardio abs but have viewed it and noticed it wasn't as good as Cathe's ab routines (my opinion of course). Anyways, i think that that sounds like a great idea and may give it a go next week.
 
Yep, I was a real procrastinator today but I finally did do my workout at 3 PM.:confused: First I did Cathe's 4DS Chest, shoulders and triceps premix (just the chest and shoulders) and then the Plyo Circuit. It'a been a while since I've done 4DS and my shoulders were really burning with those super sets. I'm talking fire!!! However, since there wasn't really a lot of weight work in the chest I was able to do the incline flys with 25s. That's pretty much for me and I'm proud of that, thank you very much STS.:)

I'm starting to get bored with the Insanity warm up. Any suggestions on what a good "tough" warm up could be? I have a treadmill if that helps. I felt great after the Plyo Circuit but it kicked my butt at the time. That's a good thing, isn't it??? I think I have a love/hate relationship with this program. ;)

Hey, does anybody know where Fit44 has been? I thought for sure she'd be around. She's the one that introduced me to Insanity. Just wondering.

Just popping in for a quick hello, yesterday I did cardio recovery, can't really say I liked it very much, but that's just not my cup of tea BUT today was Pure Cardio and that is by far my favorite from the week. I also went to the gym and did back, shoulders, biceps, and a tiny bit of abs, I was kind of spent from Insanity so didn't give it my all, but hey, I gave it something :p
