Happy 1st of August everyone. This year is flying by! So i haven't worked out but wanted to get everyone started. I think I may do some cardio today on the elliptical and mabe one of the insanity recovery workouts. I also will add in some pullups to work my back a little. Hope everyone is doing well.
 
workout done! did 45 minutes on my elliptical for some recovery from a week of insanity. then did abs from 4DS and did 12 negative pullups which i stuggled with. Some day i will be able to do real ones. LOL
 
Nice workout, kariev! Today is a cardio day, so I'm doing Max Interval Circuit. I've done it once before, so here's to #2! I really like the Cardio/Balance recovery workout - it had just enough cardio to get my heart pumping, and the lower intensity stuff was challenging also.

Just finished up PC and CA. Have I mentioned I love, love, love PC yet. ;)

Word of advice, do the stretch PC and CA between the two workouts. I decided to hold off on the stretch till after I did both and found that my hip-flexers and hamstrings were a bit too tight to do any justice to the C-curve exercises. Live and learn. :rolleyes:

Sounds like you guys had great workouts.

I'm excited about the fit test on Monday. I think I'm going to have to combine the fit test and Plyo since I'll be gone next weekend again. I'm not even sure if I will be able to workout on Friday.. :(

kariev, I've never heard of negative pull-ups. I just looked them up. I'll have to add them into my routine when I do STS again. I plan on doing STS again after I finish Insanity and STS cardio arrives (whichever comes last).
 
Hi Everyone!

Still recovering from my stomach flu so I did 4DS KBX & Legs. Still a little wiped out but I have a quiet weekend planned so hopefully I can pick up with insanity next week.
Dawn, I am planning to do STS after insanity too! I don't think STS cardio will be here until November though. Thanks for the advice about stretching.
kariev, I was going to add negative pull-ups to insanity but got side tracked. I hope to add them in this week.

Kariev, thank you for the negative pullups reminder, I will add those at least weekly to Insanity. I think I will do P90X shoulders and arms and one of cathe's back and chest workouts for the duration of my Insaniry rotation.
Colleen, glad to see you are feeling better. Good for you to do Cathe's workouts while recovering. You go girl!!

Today was FitTest and I improved on everything except the last exercise which was some kind of oblique low plank. I did the same amount and could have done a few more but opted to rest for a few seconds at the 30 second mark in that exercise. I was happy with the results and followed the FitTest with Cathe's no-equipment ab workout.I can't believe how I have responded to these workouts. Much as I am a cardio junkie, I haven't been pushing myself cardiowise these past 6 months, so I am overjoyed I have been able to get through the workouts day after day.
