Let's Do This Again STSept-Dec! *Dec 21-Dec 27*

Hey Everyone!!!
I was planning on running this morning but my calf is a little tight and I think I will take a lesson from Cathy and take it easy for the next few days...unfortunately I feel the muffin tops re-appearing at the very thought! Anyways, I am not sure how much longer it will be till Shock Cardio gets here but I am hoping before New Years. My older son was watching one of the clips with me and really wants to try them too. He loved the that there were guys in the MMA DVD's. He then decided that he wanted to workout yesterday too so I had already gone for a steady state run and then we did 4DS bootcamp. He really liked it but ran out of juice before the end. It was really sweet to do the workout with him!

Cathy - I am so glad that your achilles is not completely torn!!!! I was really worried when you said that it wasn't too painful... that usually means a full tear. It will be no time and you will be up and stepping, kicking and jumping again!

Janis - I'm hanging in and trying to keep everything running on schedule for Christmas! Too bad you are feeling sick... that's no fun a Christmas. We will all be well rested for Jan. 4!

MJ - Hope you are having fun in NYC!!!!

Tara - I hope you and your daughter are having a blast with the Gingerbreadhouse! That is always so much fun.

I just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!!! Tomorrow we leave for MIL's and won't be back until the 28th... so I will be out of communication until then. Hope Santa is good to you and looking forward to getting back into things after the holidays!
All the best to you and your families!
Heather

MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS WARRIORS!!!

I did Stretch Max and Muscle Endurance abs this morning. Still waiting for the guys to wake up. The boys were so excited last night that sleeping was not on their agenda!

Heather my boys have done sone of the drills from DM and 4DS Boot Camp. While they can run around playing with friends for long periods, they get wiped out pretty fast with those drills. I'm going to let them try some of the new ones. I think it's great when they want to try stuff like that.

Hey Warriors!

This is your Tennis Warrior checking in quickly. Today was my first day at tennis camp. I played for 4.5 hours spread out through the day. Its tough, but really great. The place is in the foothills of the catskills in NY and there is snow everywhere and 30 or so other crazies like me who came to play tennis for a few days. Starting to feel the day a little in my forearms and legs, but let me tell you, if it wasnt for cathe and sts there is no way I could pull this off.

I borrowed another campers computer and internet connection so I cant stay on for long, so I will catch up on reading the thread later.

I hope all of you had a very merry christmas and that all is well with each of you. I look forward to coming home next weekend and getting ready for our shock cardio/sts rotation. My mom picked up my shock cardio package from my doorstep, so its there waiting for me when I get home.

I will try to check back later in the week. Dont forget to start the new thread since I wont be around to do it. lol ;)

Alright, time for some advil and lots of sleep. Talk to you all later.

MJ Sounds like you are having a great time! isn't is fun to be surrounded by others who share your interest. :D I always find the energy from groups like that to be incredibly empowering.

I'll start a new thread tomorrow morning.

This morning I did PUB!!!! I sat during the warm ups and then I did some of the stuff where they were standing with a knee on the step and some sitting. I was doing fine and matching Cathe's weights until we hit biceps and I crashed. Had to drop down, and was still trembling! I switched and did LIC abs.

I'm trying to figure how to warm up for doing the floor work on Wednesday. I can't see anyway that I can really get my legs warmed up before I work out. Is warming up my upper body enough to get the blood flowing???

Ok, bad news is that DH has majorly screwed up his lower back. Apparently, it was his workout Friday night, but of course he kept doing things and by bedtime last night it was killing him. So, now we are both incapacitated. Him more than me. He stood in the living room for like 15 minutes earlier locked in place trying to figure out what to do. He is not a good patient at all, and totally won't take any of my suggestions. I even read to him stuff on line, which pretty much agreed with what I'd told him. But, he's just sitting their moaning and groaning whenever he moves.

Hey Warriors!

I am feeling a lot better - there's nothing like running to shake the last of a cold loose.

MJ - It's great to hear from you from Tennis Camp! I agree - Cathe & STS has given all of us the strength and stamina to achieve our goals and to feel completely capable doing it!

Cathy - Sorry to hear about your dh. As for warming up - yes - it will do your body good to warm up the whole package even if you're only working upper body. One exercise worked wonderfully for accomplishing this - and that is old fashioned bicycling on my back....at different leg elevations. It can be highly aerobic too!

My shock cardio arrives tomorrow! Yippee. I haven't really exercised in four or five days! YIKES. And I haven't lifted weights for weeks! I know I have atrophied a lot. (where does all the time go?)

I'll check in tomorrow with our new thread (thanks Cathy :))

:D
