Legs n Glutes aftermath

let me just say that my glutes especially feel the burn today....I really enjoyed this dvd - it was such a wonderful break from the regular high rep squats/lunges/plies that we usually have...so much variety! :)

I would say it is not high rep endurance of the same motion over and over - lots of different moves. But I do think it is endurance oriented. I have to say the step ups are too fast for me. I have to go at a slower pace to get them right.

I wondered how this would compare to Meaner Legs. I previewed it last night, but haven't done it yet. It looked to me like it would be tougher than Meaner Legs. We may have a new killer lower body workout!

P.S. Cathe's quads look more amazing than ever!

I just did it, and it wasn't as hard as it looked, certainly no comparison to Meaner Legs, at least not done with the weight Cathe is using. I had a tough time with the explosive lunges, and with the last side lift thing for the outer thighs, where I had to drop the ankle weight to get that last set of eight. I do feel that it was worthwhile and tough, but not in the same league as Leaner Legs or PS Legs, maybe even not as tough as PLB, although maybe if I raise the weight. It was my first try, after all.

My uneducated opinion at this point is that it would be great as a second leg workout in a week, and I'm definitely going to raise the weight next time and see how my quads feel.

A fun and worthwhile workout though. The floor work was plenty tough, lots of variety. I like it, but need to beef up the quad work.

WOwo I like legs and glutes soooo much....I got much better results on this than with LL. ESPECIALLY good results on my butt (guy friend noticed ;) and on my hamstrings)

I didn't think it was that tough either the first time through, but that was Wednesday morning and it's Friday afternoon, and my legs are still feeling the burn! :) No, it's not Meaner Legs but it hits some spots (for me anyways) that I don't regularly work out. :)

Hi-

I ordered the VHS version of this so I have been lucky enough to do be doing this one for awhile.

It is one of those workouts that gets harder after you do it a couple of times. (Kind of like kickboxing workouts, if you know what I mean.)

The fatigue isn't quite the same as when you are squatting huge amounts of weights.. its more concentrated in smaller areas, but no less intense.

I have inserted it into my leg routine since getting it and am liking what it is doing.. am definitely seeing some nice improvements, mostly in my outer and inner thighs. Tough places to see changes when doing only squats/lunge standing work imho.

This one really worked my glutes. I love how it is so different than her other leg workouts (Meaner legs is still the toughest for me and I love it). Great workout.
