Legs and Glutes vs Butts and Guts

I have L and G and was wondering if B and G is very similar to it? L and G is more light weight, high rep, cardio intense. Is there any reason to buy B and G-is it that different?

Hi Beth,
I think that they are different and I have both. B&G really does target your butt more than any other workout Cathe does. I often alternate these two in order to focus on Legs and Butt alternately. It (B&G) is also high rep but the excercises target your rear more than L&G - I think it may even be a bit harder than L&G too. It has about 4 different premixes of varying lengths including the infamous "Leg Blast" premix that seems to work your butt and legs very effectively OUCH! It also has 20+ minute floor work section (excellent) and two different ab workouts including one with a stability ball. I almost always have DOMS from this workout and I love it! Hope this helps...
 
That helps a lot. I need to target my butt more. I'm seeing "pancake butt" develop as I get older (I'm 52) and STS legs is not helping that at all for some reason. I was debating also getting the Brazil Butt Lift series too.

B&Gs is Awesome!

I don't think you can go wrong by purchasing this workout. It's my go-to DVD! If I used my treadmill, I use this one for the abs & stretching at the end. The Leg Blast premix is a real burner. If you really want to focus on your butt, there is a floor work only premix. It is double of everything, so consider yourself forewarned. You will need a band for the firewalkers, otherwise the equipment is the same as in L&Gs.

I have both and I prefer Butts & Guts for targeting my butt and working up a good sweat. The other one is good too. But I feel like I get more of a burn with Butts & Guts.
 
I have officially done both (did Butts and Guts for the first time today) and I agree with everyone else. Butts and Guts definitely targets the rear more, I am really feeling it! Love it!
 
I highly recommend B& G. It is my favorite of all of Cathe's lower body workouts. I really saw my butt lift after doing this workout for awhile. I didn't think it was possible. I also just bought Brazil Butt lift - but I am doing STS with SC right now so I haven't really been doing it with any consistency. It is a fun series though.
 
OK you enablers, I have caved and bought the workout! I just finished STS for the second time and am ready to do something different for a while. This sounds like just the thing I need!

You won't regret it! I will be doing it once a week for sure. I felt it for a couple of days!
 
Just reporting back that I have done Butts and Guts twice now and love it!!!!! I love that it combines all the best floor work from every video. And the cardio factor on the standing legs part-wow. I have lost 2 pounds already. And the DOMS in my glutes is by far the most intense of any leg workout-even more than STS (which I feel more in my quads.) Anyone else on the fence about buying this one, don't worry, its a keeper.
