Leg workout - twice a week?

If I do one of the leg tapes once during the week and during the same week, I go for a 10 mile bike ride with my 2 year old in a bike trailer behind me - am I getting enough legs for the week? Between her and the trailer, there's probably an extra 40 lbs. of pull on the bike. I'd like to blow off the leg portion of MIS when I do it tomorrow morning. I know if I do MIS in the morning and then attempt to take the bike out that same day, I'm pretty fried and can't get too far - especially if it's windy!

I don't know how good of a hamstring workout cycling is, but I sure feel it in my quads and glutes!
 
Cycling takes your legs through the full range of motion, but it's primarily an endurance workout as you've already noticed.
To build strength in the legs, do a leg weight workout on another day with shorter reps and fewer sets (PS or S&H). This will enhance your cycling, but not if you do it on the same day. If you try and do it on the same day your muscles will be too exhausted to really benefit from the exercises.

If you don't think your hamstrings are getting enough of a workout, do a separate exercise for them, but remember they tighten up easily especially after cycling, so take the time to really stretch them out.
