leg strength

hello,
i've been doing videos for awhile now and grew quite comfie . i would do squats and lunges with 35 pounds-- anymore hurt my back/neck evn with a pad. went to the gym today and used a smith machine easily doing 90 pound squats (3 sets- 15 reps each). did 215 on seated leg press. almost 400 on lying down press... given that i have good strength--- should i continue with lite weights at home -- am i getting anything from this? or force myself to go to the gym to maximize strength?
 
Not Cathe here but I would continue to work legs at home as well as at the gym. Using free weights at home works your muscles differently then the machines at the gym. BTW, have you ever considered a weighted vest to increase the weight on your squats?
