Cathlete
Hi all. Just had a question I have been pondering for awhile. I have been doing Cathe vids for years now and love them. I have pretty muscular legs but feel they were leanest when I was doing workouts without weights/with lighter weight than her workouts call for (I was a vegan at the time and leaner legs could have just been part of cleaner eating-not willing to go back there though). I have decided to try the New York Body Plan (by David Kirsch) author of Sound Mind Sound Body - anyone ever heard/done this? And he recommends low weights higher reps, etc. I had a baby 3 1/2 months ago and have been depressed (long story - own business - grew huge just before he was born, work 40+ hours per week - baby 3 - wasn't planned - husband had vasectomy 6 mos prior to me getting pg, but very glad he is part of our famiy just hard) anyway, I stopped working out a few weeks ago when we got the latest batch of work for my biz as it is very much a workout on its own - basically a week of standing, bending, lifting, loading 600,000 pieces of mail (boxes, trays, etc.) for 8 + hours. With getting reduced amounts of sleep and spending free time shopping to get ready for xmas, I stopped working out. I am having a hard time now picking it back up because my life is so full so want to maximize my results and shake things up by trying something new, but I don't want to lose strength, etc that I have gained by staying fit during my pregnancy, etc. I am currently a size 4, normally a 2, have about 5-7 lbs to lose. Any suggestions on the above book, author, leg results that you guys have seen by going heavy or light or using more plyometric type exercises to get lean would be appreciated. I need to find my motivation again. I'm sure it will just take one workout once I make that decision to just do it. I am just so burnt out.
Anyway, thanks for any assistance you guys can offer.
