Leaner Legs / Legs & Glutes

I thought maybe I could get some great ideas from all you cathe lovers

I have been doing Cathes kickboxing workouts I have all of hers and 2 other instructors to mix it up and I have been alternating them with the pyramids upper and lower. I would like to add in another great leg workout and was thinking either leaner legs or legs and glutes I love them both. What is your favorite of the 2 and why?.

There is also hi step training advanced and muscle endurance too.

I would like to add at least one of those with my pyramids, and kickbox. I am seeing great results but another leg workout is what I need to slim my thighs even more. I know you girls will have some great advice for me.Thanks for all your help.

Do any of you do a month of weights only workouts?. I really like to alternate cardio 1 day, weights the next.;-) :) Just curious, Thanks Again

Well Deb, this probably isn't going to help much, but I like them both for different reasons and kind of go through phases where I like one over the other. I like Legs and Glutes because it has such variety and less traditional leg work. But then I want to go back to more traditional work and so then I reach for Leaner Legs or PLB. So you really need them both! But if you can only get one, then I'd get Legs & Glutes as it's much different from PLB which you already have and it's a lot of fun! No matter which you choose, you are going to get your legs worked hard!

Also I never do weights only - I may have weeks where I do less cardio (like only 3 days) but I never go without cardio for long.

I loove all the cathe lower body: learner leg, pyramid lower body and leg and glutes.Have you try PS legs and abs.It is awesome too.In the past wekend I did PS legs and abs and the pyramids and I had to rest the next day becauseI was so sore.I like especially the stabily ball in the pyramids.Hope this help.

Jo,I do have leaner legs, pyramids and legs and glutes. I think I will maybe do legs and glutes with pyramids and my kickbox for a few weeks and then do leaner legs with pyramids and kickbox.I like to get in my cardio too. I do love the ctx dvd too.

I don't have pure strength yet I have heard a lot of great things about it. I guess you can't go wrong with cathe they are all great.
I know I have been wanting to get the dvd with power hour ect. I have MIS on vhs so I know I like that workout. Maybe I should wait until hardcore comes out. I didn't preorder but I am sure I will get a few. I know I will order her new kickbox.

Do you both have the hi step training advanced? I love that workout.
I also need to get muscle endurance out too the last I remember doing that workout it was a toughie.

It has been a pleasure to help you.I have the HSTA too and I like it.I use my funny lifter with it because I do not have the high step it.
I see you like kickbox, me too.I like ctx kickbox, cardio kicks and KPC.I like to do the ctx workouts with kickbox segments.I do not want to forget circuit max .I have kickboxing strike zone of Jannis Saffel and it is great and I have ordered the dvd with Jannis and Guillermo Gomez.I think kickbox is great for work the legs. Whatever you choose you are going to work hard.Have fun.

I also have all of Cathe's kick Box workouts, and four of Jannis's.
I don't have the dvd with Guillermo Gomez. I teach kickBox 3 times a week right now and am allways looking for lots of variety and intensity ideas. Please let me know how you like that workout.
I didn't teach or do many kickbox workouts during the summer, I did mostly step and weights. I am so sore in the legs, abbs' and backs of my arms, it sure feels good to be back to the Kickbox. :) }( :)

Hi Stay fit

My legs got in a great workout this morning. I do love kickboxing. How do you like strike zone? oh sorry you said you liked it. I have the hardcore kickbox circuit with Janis and Guillermo and I love it.I also love circuit max. I just found out That Guillermo has a new kickbox workout coming out the middle of this month I can't wait I am so excited. I have noticed not just my legs but also my hips wow they are getting smaller and it sure works the abs to. I have to keep this ole body guessing 48 and still feeling great funny I don't feel 48 and I sure don't act it oh well always a kid at heart.For my hi step I use the good ole fanny lifter from the firm.

I have to get to work. I work at a bank and we had 3 police cars in our parking lot at closing time.It was another forgery that makes 3 this month. The tellers are doing a great job. I could never be a teller again I will stick to my little office. Thanks again and have a wonderful day.

Thanks for the input I think I will get the kickbox circuit with Jannis and Guillermo. I need more music too, so I've been visiting the music sites. I'm trying not to spend too much money, things add up fast. You know the song in Imax 2 on the last interval, the Pina Colada song? Does any one know if it is on a music cd, for instructors? I think that would be a cool song to have in my step class.:)
 
oh gosh... how to choose!?

i love them all! PLB gives my legs (and especially hammies) DOMS! leaner legs.. i did yesterday and no DOMS.. but a good workout! legs & glutes is a different workout from PLB and LL.... i guess if you make me choose... i'd recommend L&G at this time! (but if i don't have to chosse.. i'd say get both!

i have never done a weights only workout.. cardio too important! (it's the main factor along with diet for abs!) i don't have a routine.. i'll do a CTX rotation for a week (one cardio, 2 UB parts, LL on it's own); i'll do a week that i include PLB/PUB and do cardio or a circuit on the other days.... i mix it up.. but my weeks always consist of a combination!
