lateral fat

You can't choose where to burn fat from. You just need to do your cardio and watch what you eat and hope it comes off in all the "right" places first! ;) As for exercises to do for that area to define/build the muscles, pull ups and chin ups and pull overs are great for the lats! HTH! :)

Thanks for the advise, I count my calories consume everyday apron 1250, and do my kick , punch and crunch plus booty camp, twice a week. The other days I do weights, but how can i do those exercises you are talking about ?

You would need a chin up bar or Cathe's push pull tower for the chin ups and pull ups and for the pull overs you can use a barbell or a dumbell and a bench or your step to lay on. You need to be elevated off the ground to allow room for the weight load to go back behind your head w/o hitting the floor.

HTH. :)

Boxing/kickboxing can help tone that area (especially if you can power the punches from the lats), but as Fit Mommy said, you can't choose where you lose.

Reducing bodyfat overall will help (the 'bra overhang' area is one of the places that women tend to store excess fat on the upper body).

It can help to burn more calories and fat by doing full-body weight workouts, or at least weight workouts that focus on the larger muscle groups of the legs/glutes, back and chest (rather than smaller shoulder/bis/tris).

Another thought: as you add more activity, your low calorie count may work against you. If your body is not getting sufficient calories (or, especially, nutrients), it can hang on to the fat you want to lose.

HTH!

Thank you Kathryn for the kickboxing suggestion! How on earth could I forget that one considering I am always doing kickboxing with weighted gloves on and LOVE IT when I get DOMS in my lats from it! :D

The others have basically said what I would have. For me, I didn't notice a special difference in that area from any particular workout. If anything, that was all about diet. I think that 1250 might be too few calories. You don't want your metabolism to slow down.

The 1250 calorie is what I'm supposed to eat to lose weight, according to myfitnesspal, anyway y just bought HiiT , to burn more calories, I hope! Thanks everybody!

I use myfitnesspal.com...

I use myfitnesspal.com and I like everything about it BUT the calorie calculator. It too gave me an very low calorie range (in my opinion) of 1200 for weight loss. It does say if you workout, you get to eat more though. I think there might be a way to adjust your calorie number in myfitnesspal, but I'm not exactly sure.

The suggestion to rotate your calorie ranges is a good idea.

myfitnesspal.com has a place to calulate your exercise calories in your day....it add back in inextra calories your earn.
