Last Nights Lost! Spoilers..

Ok, what the heck, I knew that they would eventually start killing off the main characters, just not this season. I really thought that the dr could have saved Boone. I cried, first over the baby being born, then over Boone Dying. Yes, I'm PMSing.
What do you think is going on with that capsule thing that he and Locke found? I personally don't have a clue, but I'd like some of your ideas if you ladies have any.

Kathy

I was sad to see Boone killed off, but very happy for Claire and her new baby. Next weeks episode looks very interesting. It looks like Locke will be shot next week, but we all know how those tidbits go. There will also be a 2 hour season finale, but I'm not sure when that will be.

In the beginning of the series DH thought that maybe all the survivors were actually dead but lingering in purgatory and as soon as they set right what they did wrong in their life then they would die. It made sense at first but not now. Actually I'm not sure what to make of the island or the capsule yet, but it gives Locke insight into how the island works.

I'll happily watch to see what happens next.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show. The writers are fantastic! Just when I think it can't get more exciting and wierd, it does.

I don't have a clue what they're up to but I was sad Boone died as well. I'm glad Jack didn't go so far as the amputation, though. I had my eyes closed and my ears covered x( just waiting.

I wonder if the life/death analogy is a clue but I just don't know! And, where is Jack's wife? Why did Locke lose the feeling in his legs again when they got close to the airplane in the tree? Why hasn't the big guy lost weight if all they're eating is fish and fruit? How are the women looking so good without modern conveniences? What happens when they run out of deodorant? (I'm sorry but I wonder about stuff like that).

Edited to say, Kristi, my DH thought the exact same thing but I'm not so sure.

<How are the women looking so good without modern conveniences?>

LOL I was thinking the same thing. Clare comes out of the woods with her newborn looking like she just came from the spa. Did you notice she had lipstick on?

I love love love this show too. It's so different from the normal junk they show on TV now.

Hmm that purgatory theory is interesting.....

I wonder about that too - how does their hair stay so perfect in spite of high humidity? I also wonder what the timeline is - how long have they been "Lost" ?

I'm so hooked on this show I cut Low Max short last night and skipped my upper body workout. Normally I'd be disciplined skip it until the re-run, but with Lost - discipline goes right out the window! I even got my BF into it and he claims to hate TV.

:p

Also wondering how the ladies look so nice lol! I am so glad someone posted about this. I love the show but missed it last night! I can;t believe Boone died! Did Clare have a boy or girl?

It's a BOY!

I notice, though, that they do where the same clothes a lot. Thank Goodness!

They've been saying all season that one of the main characters was going to get killed. They did it to be more realistic. They're living in a dangerous place, so there's no way they'd all survive. I just wish it had been someone else. Like Shannon. She's pretty useless to the story.

I can't even come up with a theory about the capsule. Except maybe someone is living down there. The entrance has to be somewhere else that's accessible above ground, because the hatch was buried when Boone and Locke found it.

I think that Jack's wife must still be in the U.S. He had to go to Australia to retrieve his father's remains. His wife didn't go with him. He went alone. At least I think he did. I suppose she could have been with him on the trip and they didn't show her when they showed the scenes of him in Australia. But that would mean she died in the plane crash and Jack would be more upset than he is. I'll betcha that something happened between them awhile ago and they split up, now that I'm thinking about it. He wouldn't have been so into Kate so early after meeting her if he was still in love with his wife. Remember, he's the most committed man in the world!

I think they kept Shannon in to annoy the rest of us. Or, maybe after Boone's death she'll grow up and really contribute something. I was surprised last night when she said she needed to take things slow! That's a change.

Candi,
Every question you asked I was asking too. I also kept thinking what would they do without Jack? And what will they do when they run out of alcohol? I have no clue how this series will wrap up but I'm so interested in it and watch faithfully.

I read in a TV guide that they were planning on killing off one of the regulars as mentioned above. I thought it would be Boone but then I thought maybe that was too obvious and it would be someone who wasn't even injured.

One of my friends has a theory that some alien force took over the world and killed almost everyone off and that is why they haven't been rescued...not b/c the island is so remote but b/c something has screwed up the planet...hence all the polar bears, boars, and other weird stuff. I don't think that is true though b/c of the french woman and that crazy guy being there. I'm almost afraid to watch the story line with the baby. I wish Clare could remember where she was and what happened while she was gone. The two hour finale promises answers but the TV guide I read said we wouldn't get all of the answers and that they would leave us with a cliff hanger.

Angela,

Interesting theory!

When Boone and Locke were trying to uncover the hatch, it reminded me of Stephen King's book, The Tommyknockers. In that story, a woman is mentally lured to an area where a space ship has landed and is covered underground. She is obsessed with uncovering the ship and she finds the hatch first. Because of this story I was wondering if it was an alien thing also but maybe that's too obvious.

Well, I was sure impressed that Claire could just "hike" out of the jungle after giving birth. That was impressive!

Oh, read in the paper that the Finale is going to play opposit the Finale of American Idol....What are they thinking???? Not everyone in the world has TiVo!!!x(

This is the BEST BEST SHOW!! I did the same thing last night when I thought Jack was amputating Boones' leg, hid my face and blocked my ears! I want to hear more of Hurleys' story with the unlucky numbers. I wonder how that is going to figure in? They show them getting on the raft in the scenes coming up. I wonder what will happen with that? And lastly, why do i LOVE Sawyer so much? I didn't really like him in the first few episodes? Oh well, I'm glad you started this because in my opinion not enough people are watching this show, I can never find people to obsess with over this show, kinda like my Cathe obsession.....

How was the topic of Jack's wife introduced? Unless I missed something, I don't recall hearing about her before.

As for the capsule, my guess is that no one is in there, that it is some leftover thing from previous inhabitants.

Someone told me that they think the island is all a figment of Walt's (the young boy) imagination. There was something in the beginning about him liking comic books, and the person said the island is something he invented to escape the pain of his mother's death. I dunno....

>Oh, read in the paper that the Finale is going to play opposit

I'd pick Lost's Finale over any other show's Finale; even though I've faithfully watched every American Idol show this seaso. I have two TVs and can tape off of one and watch the other. Besides, it's only worth watching the last 2 minutes of American Idol, anyway.

Gina,

This is the first we have heard that Jack was married. I never saw a wedding ring on his finger. I'm guessing that they split up prior to the plane accident.

Interesting theory concerning Walt's invention of the Island. Perhaps that is why he burned the raft in the first place? Because he wasn't ready to leave the Island?

Carolyn,

I agree. This is my absolute favorite show. Desparate Housewives isn't close to the excellent writing or story as presented in Lost. This show is EXCELLENT! Glad to see that we have a place to post our thoughts regarding this show. :)

Actually Conni, if you don't have an epidural and the delivery isn't too complicated, I think it's quite possible to "hike" out of the jungle after giving birth. That's the basic propaganda they were telling me when I was learning the Bradley Method of birth. After about 6 hours of active labor, I said, "This natural childbirth is for the birds. Give me the drugs". It was much better after that, but I couldn't move my lower body for hours afterwards.
