KK's September thread!

Wow, looks like everyone has been really busy. Right now I'm at the high school doing the juvenile justice panel. Ready for lunch though, I'm hungry. Bee working out with Turbo Fire still Better get going. Have a great day.

Good Evening!

Wow! I don't know what happened to my post. Seems I hit the wrong button... Oh, well...

You both sound very busy. Hi to you both! (And anyone else reading this.)

Rhea, sounds fascinating what you're doing -- glad that the Turbo's are really working for you.

Janie, so glad you're workouts are doing well. I am interested in learning how to make soap. Interestingly, I've been using a product called Tooth Soap -- and since I've been using it, my gums are doing so much better than before. So soap making has an appeal right now.

I'm still working on short workouts. Today was 4DS -- cardio (anaerobics) only. Tomorrow will be a weight workout of some sort.

My daughter is pregnant and due to deliver soon -- and when that happens, I'll be dropping everything to hurriedly get to the East Coast (wish she lived closer). So if I disappear for a few days, that might be the reason why.

Have a super evening and and terrific day!

Howdy!

Okay so today I did something different -- I did Push/Pull -- 44 minute workout. The longest I've done for a while.

Anyway, it was great. Am planning Cardio Core tomorrow -- just to add on a bit more core.

Hope you are both doing well. Have a super evening!:D

Did TBS with Joey and walked Rolly for 30 min. It was great outside in between rains.

Rhea, Your work is so impressive to me. And your workouts are amazing too. Great job on that.

KK, And I'm intereste in making tooth soap. Do you know what the ingredients are? I'm working hard on the book (sometimes). Where do you get the motivation when you need it?

Short workouts are good. Great job on Push Pull too.;)

Congratulations on your daughter's pregnancy. When all that happens and done, let us know the good news. You luck grandma!

Take care you two,

Janie

Hi Janie!

Janie, I'll have to check those ingredients on the tooth soap and get back to you. She makes it so that there is absolutely no glycerin left in it -- and it cleans the teeth and gums. I'll go onto her website www.toothsoap.com and see if I can pull up the ingredients.

Today was Cardio Core -- becoming one of my favorite workouts. Doing the 27 minute workout and the 44 minute workout, the core isn't always stressed so much -- so doing that workout the next day I figure gives me even more core work.

Boy, Rhea, I sure admire what you do, too! And you, too, Janie.

Tomorrow am planning another anaerobic workout -- but with short sprints bursts and such.

Have a super evening!:D

KK- are you a grandma yet? Such fun times. Looks like you are keeping up on the workouts too.

Janie - You must be keeping pretty busy too. I don't think I would even have the tiniest motivation to sit down and write. I used to write but all the other things that I like to do gets in the way.

Still working out with the Turbo Fire rotation. The Holiday Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle Challenge is approaching soon. I"m getting ready for that! Well, better get back to work.

Did the Wedding Video today. It was fun.

Rhea, Writing lately has been hard for lack of motivation. I'll keep plugging away when I can.

Good for you with the TF rotation and getting ready for the Holiday with BFFM challenge.

Take care,

Janie

Joey and I did The Firm Vol. 1. It was a great sweaty workout. Also walked Rolly for an hour in the wood.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Janie

Good morning everyone. I probably will be a bit scarce this week. (nothing new I know lol) However, DH"s dad passed away this weekend, so I will be trying to juggle all the things that go along with that. I did not get to workout this weekend and I feel it. Times like this make you realize how much exercise actually gets that stress out of you. I'm going to try for the Fire 55 today, I think a good sweat will make me feel a bit better.

Have a good week and I will try and pop in every once in a while.

Good Morning!

Rhea, I'm so sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Tough times -- at least in my consideration. In 2008 I lost my terrific BIL and then in May my MIL. Both of them wonderful people. My heart goes out to you, Rhea. Hang in there. You're so right about working out and stress. So please do keep up those workouts.

I'll be thinking of you and sending you my prayers. You are so greatly admired for all that you do. I'm sure you'll be an inspiration to your husband, who might very well need your support. Take care and stay in touch.

I'm not yet a grandma. She did have a few pains, but they went away upon getting more rest. So we're still on notice.

Janie, that volume 1 is tough, tough, tough. Wish I could do 1 hour workouts, but I seldom can anymore. Life is just too busy.

We're getting the car all ready for the trip, as we will drive. We have so much to bring with us to give to them, that we really have to drive, although I have to be back here for a hearing in mid-Nov and so if we go there soon, I'll probably fly back for that. I dislike flying with a passion, especially as it has come to be nowadays -- It's my own quiet protest. But sometimes getting somewhere quickly is justified, I suppose.

Yesterday was 4DS cardio/anaerobics only -- a fav of mine. Today is...well, I don't know yet -- again it will have to be short. Sigh...

Hope you both have a terrific day!:D

Walked Roll about 45 min. It was a sunny crisp day today.

Rhea, So sorry about hearing your DH's dad passed. Please give him a lots of (((((hugs))))). I agree, exercise helps in so many situations.

KK, Enjoy your trip to your daughters, and drive safely with the change of weather in Nov. Keep us posted on how she is doing. Great job on 4DS cardio.

Janie

Good Morning!

Hope all is well with you, Rhea. You are so capable in all that you do that I'm sure you'll be like a stable rock for your husband. Many hugs.

Janie, great that you're walking Roll. Our "walking" our dogs, which we do every day, is more like a "drag" as they (they are very young still) try to pull us along and run with us (as though we were a sled. They are from the Blackfeet rez -- maybe they would be good sled dogs.

Yesterday was Total Body Sculpting -- going heavy. The time is so right on that workout that I do it over and over when it comes time to do a strength workout.

Toothsoap. I love it -- or I should say my teeth love it. My gums stop bleeding, my nerves in my teeth calm down. It's good stuff. If you get a chance, here's the link: www.toothsoap.com -- they have a 2 for today and tomorrow only. I'd love to know how to make it, also.

Have a super day! :D

KK, (READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE GOING TO THE SITES) I did a little bit of research for you and found the ingredients of Tooth Soap. Even directions on how to make it yourself. You are going to save so much money. The site you gave me is so expensive for this product!

Go to this site and enjoy making it yourself. I'll be making mine today.

It's funny, but I've been making my own toothpaste for years, all I needed to add is castile soap. I have that on hand too, if only I new.

Use Dr. Bronner's Castile Magic soaps it contains water, saphonified coconut-Hemp-Olive oil with retained glycerin (This means that this is a by-product and produced glycerin in itself, that is what homemade soap does), since I have the peppermint soap, it contains peppermint oil and also rosemary extract.

In order to make a liquid soap you have to use Potassium Hydroxide, for bar soaps, you use sodium Hydroxide, both are lye. But once you put the oils and the lye together there is an immediate chemical reaction called saphonification, and it is no longer oil and no longer lye, but simply soap.

Follow the instructions and experiment with what works for you. Have Fun With It!

Ingredients In Tooth Soap | LIVESTRONG.COM

You can get "Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap" or any of the many he has out at the stores, such as drug stores or online.
Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Retail Store: Classic Liquid & Bar Soaps

NOTE: An update on the way I will make my toothsoap. I experimented today and love the way I do it!

I use salt, baking soda, and glycerin for my dry mixture and add a couple of drops of essential oil, I use cinnamon (to taste), together in a small jar. I take a little out and put it on my brush and then I put 2 drops of Dr. Bronner's soap on top of that. So wonderful! Even have a foam that's incredibly cleaning. My mouth feels fresh and tingly (like you said). Best of all, it is so much better than toothpaste with all the chemicals in it.

The reason why I do it that way is because I want to take advantage of the salt, cleaning the debris and coffee stains off the teeth before it breaks down into a solution. Then I appreciate the polishing effect afterwords.

Let me know how you will do your toothsoap.

Good Morning!

Oh, Janie!

I can't thank you enough!! Truly, truly. Yes, that toothsoap is very, very expensive. I just ordered some -- cause there's a two for one sale, but even at that rate, it's very, very expensive and I've been trying to figure out how to make my own.

Like you, I don't like all the chemicals in toothpaste -- especially flouride, which is a poison (and the flouride they use is not the natural kind, but rather the waste product of aluminium or even nuclear manufacture) -- and is (if you do the research) more poisonous than arsenic.

Anyway, I've been trying to figure out how to make this myself. This is such good news. I'm going to go to these sites and print up the info for myself -- I use for face washing mostly quite a bit of Dr. Bonner's soap -- so I have a bit of it on hand.

Wow! Again, thank you!

Today was 1/2 of Cardio & Weights -- I've been looking through a bunch of Cathe's workouts and have figured out that there might be some things I could do to get in more strenth type of workouts -- alternating them -- so I'm not doing the same workout week after week after week.

Anyway, am so excited. Thank you Janie. I'll let you know how it goes -- like you, I like the salt in the toothpaste to clean the coffee stains off my teeth.

Have a super day!

Good Morning!

Today I plan the second half of Cardio & Weights. And I'm exploring this world of making my own tooth soap.

Janie, where was it that you said you were able to get lye?

Anyway, have a super day everyone!

Rhea, hope all is going well with you. My prayers are with you.

Joey and I did TBS, abs and stretching today. Also walked Rolly.

KK, Enjoy saving money, that is always really nice. ;)

Great job on your workouts.

I haven't bought lye for a long time, but the last time I bought it was here:

Hi all! Thanks for all the prayers. It was a tough week, but the tough part is over. I was not only the support for my DH, but for his sister too as her family is as dysfunctional as anything. But we are trying to get back to "normal." I did not get to workout at all last week, so I'm starting up last week's rotation today. It should feel pretty good.

Well, lots to catch up with here at work, so I had better get to it. Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!

Hi Rhea & Janie!

Rhea, that is so good that you could be support for all these relatives. Good job, Rhea. Even though I'm sure it was tough on you, too. No wonder you didn't get a workout in -- I don't believe I did either when my MIL passed away.

Janie, thanks for all your well wishes and for sharing that site with me on lye. I do want to make my own toothsoap.

Okay so here we go with news. My daughter is in labor. Went into labor yesterday. We will be going to NY as soon as we are humanly able to. Luckily my ex and his wife are there -- with her husband of course, too, and so I'm getting a play by play account. But oh, how I can't wait to get there.

I'll check in as I can.

Have a super day!
