KK's September thread!

Did disc 10 legs. Felt that one.

Rhea, You are doing fantastic with your workouts. Keep up the good job.

Hi KK. Thinking of you.

Janie

Hello there!

Managed to eke out Fire EZ55 class yesterday. It is not "easy" really. I think it is considered easy only because it has one fire drill section that you repeat. But it is one of my favorites. Funny each one has certain parts that I don't like so well, usually because I'm not coordinated enough to do it well yet. Yesterday I actually was able to do the one I didn't like so much with more umph. It was actually fun. So I guess the yuck parts are going to grow on me.

Well have a great rest of the weekend. I'm in Reno and hope to do the Fire 30 class when I get home.

Done with Mesocycle One! Will do cardio and walks with Rolly the next several days and then will start Mesocycle Two.

Rhea, Great job on those workouts. It can't be easy, sounds like it must have been a challenge all the way through. What is EZ55 anyway? Sounds like they are incredible workouts.

Janie

Janie - Fire EZ 55 is one of the Turbo Fire workouts from Chalene's new ones. It is a 55 minute kick boxing type workout that has two fire drills (one minute high intensity stuff). I'm really not sure where the EZ comes in!

Hope everyone is having a great Monday and great workouts!

Good Evening!

Charlene and EZ fire drill. Sounds fascinating. I like her -- I keep forgetting about her workouts cause I'm just too busy. Time is not my friend right now.

Rhea, went to a hearing yesterday. The judge was...well, he was scary. Only way to describe it. He also did something that appears to be illegal. The other party must've spaced (as we all do) and didn't show up and so by default things should have gone my way. Yet the judge ruled for them completely. Does that happen very often?

It's bothering me -- wish it weren't but it is. I guess the thing that's bothering me most of all is that if it is illegal (I have yet to discover the truth of that or not) then he totally disregarded the law -- which one is not permitted to do, is one? And if he would so easily disregard the law with me -- how many times has he done it to others. I always think in terms of the iceberg -- tip of.

Anyway, my hat is off to you, Rhea. Lots of work and work that isn't really fun either.

No workout for me today -- up until all hours of the night working. Probably will go to bed early tonight -- catch up on the sleep.

Janie, you are a inspiration. I've been wanting to ask, but don't want to appear stupid and so I'm wondering if you can tell me what meso is. Like other things in my life right now, workouts aren't being done daily. I must take charge of that. They do help me with my weight.

Anyway, sorry to be again MIA. I am going to try to do better. :D

Wow KK, I can't believe that a judge would even discuss a case without both parties there. There may be some situations that he can though, I just don't know when it comes to civil stuff. I would consult a civil attorney to see if he did not comply with the rules. It happens all the time though. I know of a kid that had a judgment against him and he wasn't served properly....the process server did not serve him but some other person. It flabbergasted me that the judge made the kid talk to the people in a debtor's exam (or something like that) even though their judgment was obtained wrongfully. The injustice of it all is why I don't like civil law. I even get cranky with the criminal justice system too. It is not always just. But what else can we do...our system is much better than other countries.

Workout wise, yesterday I did HIIT 20 and the stretch. I hadn't done the 20 minute one before so it was fun to do a new one. I probably did not get the best workout since it was new (always a period of adjustment) but that's okay, I've been working hard enough lately. (and eating homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies ...bad me...but they're so good with my morning coffee...yummy)

Today is supposed to be a rest day (according to the rotation) but I think I have to do Friday's workout today and take Friday off.....either going to San Francisco or having my massage, just not sure which yet.

Have a great rest of the day.

Doing really good with walking Rolly and cardio variation.

Rhea, Thanks for the explanation for Turbo Fire. Should I get those? Am I missing out if I don't purchase them? Great job on HIIT. Oatmeal is so good for ya.:p

KK, Justice system is scary to me, I try everything in my power not to get hooked up in it. I think of the tip of the iceberg too. :(Meso is short for each month of the STS Mesocycles 1 2 and 3.

Have a nice day,

Janie

Since it's been raining, Rolly perfers to potty in the house.:( He hates water, except to drink. Now I have to start all over again. He's on a leash at all times and every 3 hours I shove him out the doggie door. When he goes he gets praised, and back on the leash again. He's with me at all times, poor guy, but I don't know how else to do it. He has no freedom in the house until I know he will not potty. When I go out, he's put in the cage where there is water, food and a toy. I'm so disappointed.:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( Joey hasn't been telling me, but this has been going on when it is raining. Shoot, so disappointed in Rolly. Will be taking him out in the rain on purpose so he will get more use to it. He's a Calf. doggie and is use to the sunshine I guess. On top of that I have a huge sore on my lip. Yuck, the kind you hide behind, it's that big! Did yoga today. Will start STS Meso 2 on Monday.

Janie

Rolly and I are right now having a meeting of the mines. He doesn't want to go potty outside and I want him to. He is on the leash, and take it off while he's put outside the doggie door. He just sits there. After about 3-5 min. I call him in and the leash goes back on. We'll do that every hour or so. So far he hasn't gone potty yet. How long can he wait? All night and it's almost 11 am in the morning. Jeesh. I will win, he will know this sooner or later.

Joey wants to stop the STS and do other workouts, one of them of course is TBS, so we did that this morning with heavy weights. Hey he lives here too, and if I want him to continue working out with me I have to do it his way every now and then. I'll pick one next and it won't be TBS. We also did one of the ab hits and a stretch with a stability ball. That was really nice.

Janie

PS It took Rolly until 1:30 pm to go potty for the first time since 7:00 pm last night or was it because it stopped raining? He is so stubborn! But, I will be more steadfast and wait him out every time. So far I'm winning.

It seems he likes to go potty at different times from pee and poo. So a half hour later I let him out and he pooed. Big praise and treat. I use the leash as an umbilical cord and he is with me at all times, no free range until we nip this in the bud. I've noticed while he is sitting on the desk while I'm playing on the computer that he puts his paw on me and wiggles when he can't hold it any longer. Yeah! We'll keep this up until he gets the idea again.

Walked Rolly an hour in partial rain but mostly just wet ground.

I sure hope you and Rolly get it all fixed. It is tough with the potty training. Some doggies just don't like the rain. But heck, they gotta go sometime!

I've been pretty good with the Turbo Fire rotation. Today was Fire 45EZ, not sure what was EZ about it!!! I was pooped and now this evening I'm doing a walk/run for about 2-3 miles. Trying to stay within my zone 2 of the HR. Not quite sure exactly where that zone starts, but it is somewhere in the 120s and 130s.

Was a fine mist today and able to walk Rolly for a couple of hours in it. We enjoyed it very much. Sweaty but fun. Rolly is still on a leash for awhile yet, but hey, no accidents.

I discovered another instructor that uses lots of reps in her exercises. The DVD's are Dove's Bodies Total Body Workout 1-4. I have 3 and 4, and they are much much better than Jerri Love's DVD's, not even close. These workouts are amazing! I'll be doing the 3rd vol. of hers tomorrow. After Joe's and my Firm Vol. 1 workout. Dove is not new to instructing, she's been on the market for a very long time, but I didn't realize how good she is. She teaches her method at her own studio. Many well known people take those classes, she is very sought after and I can see why.

Rhea, I might purchase Turbo Fire for a Christmas present from Joe. He dosen't know that yet. LOL Great job on your workouts and walking/running. Very proud of you.

Take care,

Janie

Good Morning!

I've been MIA again, as I'm sure you both noticed. Sigh...

Last week was probably best described as the week from h.... :( Recovering.

Anyway, yesterday was a run outside and today was Hiit Pyramids, which is a fav or mine.

I like high reps in the strength workouts also -- nice to know there's something else out there.

Gotta run, just wanted to pop on and say "hi" and let you know how much I appreciate you both.:D

Did TBS using heavy weight. Walking Rolly later today.

KK, I don't know of course what happened last week, but hang in there, things do get better. Hope this week will be a week from heaven! LOL:D With no recovery, cause there's no need.;)

Great job on the run and HIIT P.

Hi there Rhea, How ya doing?

Janie

Good morning!

Well, so far this week is a little better, but just barely. :( Sure hope this calms down soon.

Anyway, today was Cardio Core -- you know that premix (34 m) is really a good premix. I use it after I so the Total Body Sculpting for more ab work the next day. Still going with short workouts. The shorter the better right now.

Goodness!

Hope you are both doing well. Thanks for your well wishes, Janie. Life is a little topsy-turvy right now and I hope it gets better soon.

Have a super day!:D

Good Morning to you too.

Roll and I will be walking in the rain today sometime. Did Push and Pull.

KK, I sure hope things calm down for you too.:(

Great job on CC. You are doing so well for such a short time to be able to workout. Very proud of you for not giving up exercising with all the chaos in your life right now. Hang in there.

Janie

Wow, it looks like we've all been very busy lately. I have not had much time to get to the computer. When I do at work, it usually is for the house. The house building takes up a lot of time. I'm getting nervous about the weather, pray for sunshine until at least the middle of November. By then the house should be pretty much shelled in and we can work on the inside. So it can rain/snow then, it will still be cold working on the house, but at least dry.

Been okay with the workouts myself. I took a little time off last week since I was just too tired. Started back up again this Monday and felt great. Monday I did Fire 45 (turbo fire class), and the stretch session. Yesterday I rolled out of bed and did the timesaver portion of the Gym style series Chest and Triceps; in the afternoon I added on the HIIT 20 and a stretch (turbo fire dvds) I am SORE today. I probably used a little too heavy weights with all those reps. I knew I was going to be sore since I had noodle arms most of the day yesterday.

Well, hope everything is going well with y'all. Talk to you later.

Walked Rolly about an hour. Also took him in for vaccine shot and a nail clip. He is such a drama King!

Rhea, I'm praying that you get things done before the rain and bad weather come in. Sometimes going away from workouts and coming back after is just what the doctor ordered. Glad it worked out for you. Great job on Fire 45, GS timesaver and Hitt. I bet you are feeling those DOM's, you worked hard for them.

Take care,

Janie

Good Evening!

Been quite a week. Went to a seminar this weekend both days from 7:30AM to 8:30PM. Needless to say, we are very tired. No exercise this weekend, as it was get up, scurry around to get ready to go -- hop in the car and go -- it was in Santa Ana -- a bit of a distance away for us.

Anyway, busy, busy, busy. And it doesn't look like it's going to get better anytime soon. Just busy. Seems I'm busier now than I was when I was an employed writer. :D Not that I'm not working now -- but I'm working 3 different jobs and so -- I guess I shouldn't be surprised that life is busy.

My workouts seem to consist mostly of short workouts -- so the Hiit series is good -- really like the Cardio Core workout also.

Janie, I'm wondering if you ever got that book published. I'm interested in learning how to make tooth soap at the moment. We have been ordering this product and it is very, very good, but a bit expensive and so I've been trying to figure out if I might actually be able to make it. Just wondering. I know you were spending a lot of time writing it -- and so I thought I would find out if you ever did get it published. :D

Have a super evening and day tomorrow, Rhea and Janie! Hope you're not getting the rain up there that we're getting here. It would be nice to get your house all ready for inside work before the weather hits us.

Have a super day!:D

Good Evening!

Yesterday was another one of those "no time" days and so I didn't do a workout. Today was Total Body Sculpting again. I so hope that Cathe might come out one of these days with another workout like that that has that amount of time, yet gets the job done.

When time is an issue -- it's one I full out over and over.

Hope everyone is doing well. Raining like mad here. Of course I kinda like that. Goodness knows we need the rain.

Have a super evening! :D

Walked Rolly and id Step Moves today.

Been having problems with my neighbor dogs yet again and trying hard to have it solved.

KK, What kind of seminar did you go to? I love the Hiit workouts too, not only because they are short but effective as well.

I haven't got the book published, but I am working on it now. It still will take a lot of time. Thanks for asking.

The weather here has been so beautiful!

Joey Love TBS as well. If he had a choice he'd be doing them every workout. It is a fantastic workout, but I like variety.

Hope your business calms down a little for ya.
