KK's October Check In

Good morning,
Today was 4DS Kickbox and Legs (no core). Tonite is golf with a couple of guy friends. DH is coming along to bring some refreshments and drive the cart. Should be really fun. Sat in a boring training all day long yesterday, though I did fit in a walk during the lunch break. I needed that.

Janie, way to go on being able to work up to Cathe again! Nice to have a partner to work out with.

Good Evening!

Just a quick post to let you know that I'm on my way home from Vermont. It was beautiful! What a beautiful place and a beautiful wedding. I'll try to post some pictures later. It was WONDERFUL!

I've only been able to exercise about every other day and no weight workouts so far -- just anaerobics or cardio.

Miss you all -- more later. I should be home by Friday -- just haven't had a chance to post.

Today was 4DS High Intensity Step (the whole thing except for the clock pushups at the end). Last night was golf, which was fun, though I played not so good. Tonite is a haircut and color, then a little grocery shopping.

Karen, glad you are having a nice time. Can't wait to see your pictures. Be careful driving.

Good morning!

Just a quick note....I'm in trial today and tomorrow with a drive to Foster City after the trial. I sure hope I get the trial done today, that would be very helpful.

Been working out when I get home.....lets see did Dance Fit, P90 Core Cardio.....oh and P90 Sweat 5/6. I don't know if I will have energy to do any workout tonight. Besides, I have to get the animals ready and pack. Geesh. I need a wife.

Jeanette, Golfing sounds like a lot of fun, especially when hubby there to assist. LOL Have fun, I know you all will. Haven't quite made it up to Cathe yet, but we are getting closer to it. What color is your hair?

Today is cardio for me and will be doing Cathe's wedding video. I can handle that one for half of it. I'll try the whole thing today.

Today was 4DS Bootcamp and Weights. My biceps are feeling very full right now. Tonite will be a bike ride.

Janie, golfing is fun and challenging to be consistent. Seems like you have good days and bad. So easy to develop bad habits too, that's why the instructor is helpful. Have fun with the wedding video.

Have good workouts this weekend everybody, I'll report back on Monday or Tuesday.

My Joey went to visit our son the doctor in LV, he is scheduled back Nov. 13. I decided to put away the book for just a little while and finish painting a couple of paintings for my hubby. This will be his Christmas present. I've been promising these paintings for 10 years and now I'm going to finish them for him. I have to work fast, one of these paintings will be very difficult the other will be lots of fun. Both are needed for my Joey. This year he will be surprised.

I see my PS Monday and hopefully I will have the VAC on me at that time. I can only hope.

Anyway, I have some pictures,but I don't have a clue on how to download them onto here -- so I tried to send them to you through email. :p

Anyway, sounds like you are all doing fine.

I can't believe I didn't get in a workout today,but I didn't. Too much else to do -- unpack, get things washed and put away and all sort of other things.

Am planning to do Bootcamp from the Intensity series tomorrow. And get settled back in.

Well, back to life here away from home. Study and study and study -- and work of course, too.

So it's Sunday evening and I usually plan my week ahead. By the way over the weekend was Intensity series Bootcamp and today was IMAX2.

Oh, and Janie, I sent you those pictures. Hope you enjoy them.

Here's the plan for workouts for the week:

I need shorter workouts this week, so once again, I turn to the CTX series

Mon: CTX Power Circuits
Tues: CTX 10-10-10
Wed: CTX Intervals
Thurs: CTX All Step
Fri: CTX Kick Box
Sat: CTX Legs
Sun: Off

It might not go exactly like that, but that's the plan anyway.

KK, got your pictures. They are so wonderful! Bet you had the most delightful time. It's always great to see family in such a festive way.

Your workouts look good to me.

I got the VAC! It's on right now. The only thing is, I can't exercise with it on, because if I sweat the tape will come off that holds the suction in place. The VAC weighs about 3-4 pounds and is very awkward. It has to be on 24 hours a day. I'm so glad Group Health is covering this for me.

This time, for the first time, my PS said it is finally starting to heal, he sees pink tissue. Also he cut more dead tissue out. I go back in Thursday to replace sponge and tube, again Tues. for the same thing and yet again Friday to see my PS and to change sponge and tube and to see how I'm healing.

I'm hoping I will be healed by April 1, my birthday. I don't know if the VAC will work for me, but the odds to me, are in my favor. All I can do now is hope. Of course if things don't go as they should, there are other options. Could be what I was doing and replace gauze 3 times a day, or another surgery to make it heal faster. We'll see, as time goes by.

Janie, I am so glad that you have the VAC. Bummer that you have to have it on 24 hours a day -- but maybe it will not be something that will be months and months and months. Do you have any time estimate on how long this might take? Please let me know how it goes -- but I'm so glad that you have it. That's great that he sees pink tissue -- yes, that is a good sign.

Hi Jeanette! And Hi Rhea & Tammy! Haven't heard from Tammy or Mandy lately. Hope all is well with them, also.

So the CTX series is the series I seem to really love. Today's workout -- Power Circuit is about an hour long, I think -- maybe a few minutes longer -- but the other workouts are shorter, which I need this week.

Tomorrow should be 10-10-10. Another workout I love.

Hi KK.

Before the VAC, my PS told me it would probably take a year or more for my wound to heal, with the VAC and if it works on me, it should take half that or two thirds the time to get healed. That's why I have my hopes for April 1st, my birthday present. That would be 5 months. It most likely could be faster than that. Who knows, only time will tell.

Today's workout was LowMax premix 4-7, then some corework from Core Max #1. No workout yesterday as it was my rest day, but did play golf in the evening with 3 others. The weekend was full of wood stacking, a Fall Festival, short bike ride and a little golf.

Janie, so very glad you have the VAC! Hope your healing goes into super fast mode.

Karen, glad you made it back safely. I enjoyed the pictures. Beautiful foilage too. I need to pull out CTX one of these days soon too.

Today was CTX 10-10-10 and I barely got it in. I was up late last night and so up late in the morning, as well. I do like the CTX series -- mostly it helps on these weeks when I really need shorter workouts. I still feel like I'm getting in a full workout, but the time is a little easier to manage.

Janie, sure like the graphic -- that's country dancing, isn't it? Very cute. Wow -- so now is it 24 hours for 5 months? Or do you ever get a break from it? Hope you'll stay in touch with us here all through it -- keeping us abreast on how you're doing on it. And hope that soap book is coming along well.

Jeanette, ah, you reminded me of LowMax again. I really have to pull that one back out. The first time I did it, it seemed so tough for me that I never revisited it. Really should pull it back out again. What a full weekend, as well. That festival sounds interesting.

It's 1:08 in mornin and I have insomnia, but am getting tired so soon I'll be in bed.

Jeanette, Love the Fall and all it's festivities. Continue to enjoy your bike rides and golfing while they last. Low Max is one of my favorite Cathe workouts.

KK, I do have to wear the VAC 24 hours a day, and they change the sponge and tube 2-3 times a week. It doesn't take long to change them, maybe 5 or 10 min. and back on again. I carefully sponge bath the upper part of me and soak in the tub without getting my breasts wet. On these colder days, it just feels good to get warm. The graphics is Country dancing. I have my meez pretend she is a drunken person for Halloween. LOL:D. I've been having too much fun this month putting her in all kinds of costums. You sure are moving along with your exercises. Good for you.

Wow, we haven't heard from Rhea for a while. Is she out of town? Does anyone here know? Maybe I should go back in the posts and look.

Anyway, today was CTX Intervals. These workouts really work for me when I have time crunch. Am so glad that Cathe has these workouts. Wish she'd do another sort of CTX workout series for those of us with time crunches.

Janie, wow, that's dedication. I can understand why you'd like to soak in the tub -- bet it does feel good. And I love the Meez. Were you able to go back to sleep okay? I hate it when I just can't seem to get to sleep. Sometimes I have to get up and write down my thoughts in order to get my mind into the mood to go to sleep. :confused:

Jeanette, how're you doing? Your workouts do look great.

Mandy, Tammy hope all is well with you.

Guess I forgot to post yesterday morning. Yesterday was S&H Legs. Today was S&H Chest & Back, with supermans and planks. Tonite is a 2 hour golf lesson out on the course (instead of at the range and putting/chipping greens). Really looking forward to it. Our weather is going to change so this lesson is coming at a good time. Oh yes, yesterday was my mammogram and bone density scan.

Karen, I wish Cathe would make another express series too. How is your class going? How's the hand?

Janie, really hoping that the healing time is less with this VAC. Been able to paint lately? Love your Meez! Any more garden produce left?

Good morning!

I was out of town from Friday til Sunday. When I got back the office system was either down or reallllly slow, so no quick posts. I've finally caught back up with work and am able to play a little.

Went to a great seminar on Saturday in San Francisco, hopefully made some good contacts too. November I will probably be a bit MIA since I have a 40 hour mediation course I'm taking in Reno. I'm hopefully going to keep up with the workouts somehow.

I've been sticking to the P90 masters series. I've notice some changes, so I want to keep them up. Plus they are pretty short and I've been liking that. My back has been pretty tight, but I think it is because i work my legs so much and get such a great stretch during the workouts that it bunches back up at night. Well, plus I've been driving a lot and sitting a lot. Everyonce in a while I'll get that muscle tension headache from it. The other day I told my office staff that I think I had DOMS in my brain and that is why I had a headache! Been working too hard. lol.

Anyhoo, glad to see everyone healthy. Janie - great news on the VAC. Karen - I haven't been able to open the pictures yet. I'm going to try again today. I miight have to send them to my home e-mail.

Jeanette - you are just the golfing fool lately! Being on my own up here with the house has not given me any extra time. I'm really going to try and get some of the house stuff done this weekend that I have been putting off. (caulking all the holes in the trim so I can finally paint them, really exciting stuff.:rolleyes:)

Today was CTX All Step -- another terrific workout. I'll probably do CTX Kickbox tomorrow instead of legs, just to complete the upper body -- plus, weekends are crunched for me and so the shorter workout will be better for Saturday, I think.

Jeanette, I don't have the S&H series -- I so rarely do all strength workouts -- almost always work in some kind of cardio or anaerobics somehow. Are the workouts fairly long? You know the ones where I see real change in me with strength is the 4DS seires. Really see change on that.

The hand is getting better. Finally getting to the point where the hand isn't waking me up in the middle of the night, having gone to sleep.:( It really is better.:) Thanks for asking.

I took a bit of a detour from the course as I moved to a new place for safety and then went to my daughter's wedding. So I'm now getting back into it. It's going well. Again, thanks for asking.

Rhea, so glad to hear from you. That's great on a great seminar. Contacts are always good, also. Glad the P90 series is really working for you. I, too, need the shorter workouts sometimes, so it would be great if Cathe could do another sort of CTX workout series. Again you made me laugh with your comments. :D
