KK's November Check In

Good Evening!:)

As it turns out, I did the entire LIC workout -- there were premixes, but nothing with cardio and full body workout, so I just did the whole workout. It was really fun -- time flew -- I think you'll really like it, Jeanette.

Glad you enjoyed Cardio Fusion -- sounds like one that will be at the top of my list, that's for sure.

And Rhea, you and Jeanette, too, love B&G. Gonna have to try that one soon -- it's not on my rotation this week, but next...

These workouts should be fun -- love the music from LIC in the stretch -- hope to find out what CD it comes from, as I'm always searching for great music.

Becky -- hope your studies are doing great!

And Carol -- hope your rotation is great, as well.

Have a terrific day, everyone, and fun and exciting workouts!:7

Good morning,
Today's workout was LIC, the whole thing. Great workout, but I was still tired from Cardio Coach #4 that I did last night. I made it thru. I'd done this workout last Friday and really liked it.

I feel like I may be coming down with a cold but I have the concert that was postponed in the winter to go to tomorrow night in Reno - Alison Kraus and Union Station. I'm really looking forward to going so no sickie for me. I'll be spending the night with DS and Cass (his girlfriend, who I'll be taking to the concert) and then Friday doing some clothes shopping. Saturday is our Family Breakfast so like I said, no sickie for me.

Karen, I haven't heard of anyone yet who hasn't felt the soreness from Butts and Guts, it's a doozie. I still have a wee bit of DOMS from it.

Rhea, hope bunco was good. Yep, Butts and Guts, what can I say except I felt like a newbie all over again.

Becky, hope you are well and the studying is productive. Know you are getting your workouts in too.

Jeanette

Good morning!

Got to squeeze in the Cardio portion of LIC. That was really fun. Just the right amount of exercise for me yesterday too. My backside is still pretty stiff from all the work in B&G. My job doesn't help with loosening up the back/legs either. I think I'm going to attempt the entire Body Max 2 today. No court appearances except for arraignments, so I think I can.....I might be crawling back to work though!

Hope everyone is doing great. Drink lots of water Jeanette! Flushes out that rhino cold virus.

Hi!:)

Am posting early today. Did the cardio section of BodyMax2 today -- wow! I love it. I also have loved BodyMax the original. But this was fun! Then it was a stretch.

Rhea -- go to it! Wow, the whole thing. I so seldom have time for a full hour and 1/2 workout. Isn't it funny? We might complain about the soreness, but we welcome it at the same time. Makes ya feel good. So have fun.

Jeanette -- hope you're not coming down with something. But I must admit that I envy your being able to go to an Alison Krause concert -- she is one of my favorite country singers. Have a blast, especially with all the family that will be around you. Have an absolute wonderful time.

Am busy again today, but that's good. Much to do. Did I tell you that I've completely chenged my makeup now so that my makeup contains no chemicals or parabens or any other thing that isn't good for you. It's taken a while, cause at first I'd gotten some that I thought was good, but then found out it was nao-type material which is iffy --no one seems to know what nao-type particles will do to the body in the long run. But then I found a site that has pure ingredients -- some organic -- and it's been fun getting to know these products.

Well, I'm off to get some work done. Have a wonderful day, everyone -- and super workouts.:7

Good evening ladies.

I have had one heck of a past 2 days! First off, I did get my workouts in...yesterday was LIC and today was a 25 minute run and the bonus 15 minute abs from B&G.

Now, on to the craziness. I had my wedding ring and engagement ign re-sized...after losing 22 lbs, I was really afraid they'd just fall off while I wash my hands. My wedding band has channel set diamonds. Evidently the jeweler didn't tighten that setting enough and I noticed in the car that I was missing one of my stones! It had been there when I left the store. I took it back to the store and they weren't sure they'd be able to cover the cost of replacing it since I didn't buy the stone there. Whatever...I just wanted it fixed. I figured I'd never find the stone...but for "sh*ts and giggles" I took a peek in my floorboard (after leaving the store a 2nd time after returning that ring to be fixed) and found my stone!!! I'll get it back tomorrow. That is good news.

Tonight, I fried my laptop. I spilled soda all over it! The med school technically owns it and since it was an accident I should get it replaced no problem. I just hope they have loaners to use in the meantime. What stinks is that my files are lost. Luckily I did back up my iTunes collection a couple of weeks ago though, so all isn't lost...just all my lecture notes from previous semesters. :(

I guess it is possible that the hard drive isn't fried...we'll find out tomorrow.

Anyway, must get some studying done. There has been so much excitement lately that I have had trouble doing any of that!

-Becky

Good evening!:)

Although I posted earlier, I needed to come to the forums to see what I had planned for tomorrow. Some all weight workout -- probably will be MuscleMax or PowerMax, not sure which right now.

Becky -- gosh, what drama these past few days, huh? Glad you were able to keep your workouts in despite all this. Oh, and I am so glad that you were able to find your diamond -- means alot, doesn't it? Well done for finding it. And sorry you lost your info -- geez, computers -- can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em...;-)

Have a wonderful day tomorrow and some terrific workouts!:7

Good morning,
Today was 20 minute run, which I subbed or 1/2 hour of Christi Taylor's Hi-Lo Heaven and then the Bonus Stability Ball Abs from Butts and Guts.

Tonite is my Alison Kraus concert in Reno, with dinner out at maybe Olive Garden or something. I'll try not to go crazy on the bread, but can't skip the wine. Really looking forward to this evening! Also, Saturday morning is our Annual Family Breakfast. Good stuff on the menu like French toast casserole, quiche, egg/sausage casserole, fruit, coffee cake, orange juice & champagne.

Rhea, aren't Butts and Guts something? I see them on my schedule again this weekend. Heck, I still have some DOMS on my inner thigh! I have a sedentary job, but twice a day, I walk up to the administration building to deliver the mail. It's about 1/2 mile or so for each trip so that's a little bit of activity.

Karen, glad you are having fun finding out stuff about your makeup. You really enjoy researching something and do it well too. I too enjoy the cardio and the blasts in BM2. Enjoy your weight work today.

Becky, sorry about all the drama with your ring. I'm so glad you found the stone. Good eye! Sorry about the laptop. I need to get a jump drive to back up my music on my computer. I'd hate to lose all that.

Good workouts today. I'll probably post later on on Friday if I get a workout in. I'm planning on doing some clothes shopping in Reno on Friday. Hope I'm lucky.

Jeanette

Good morning all!

Becky - was wondering where you had been. Thought you got swallowed by the books. Sorry to hear about the 'puter. Hopefully the hard drive wasn't fried all the way. BTW, ever think about a....oh shoot, what are they called? Umm... I have one for when I am doing trial prep.....portable hard drives. They cost about $100.00 for 1g and you plug it into the computer like a mouse or the keyboard in the UCB? port. (I'm having trouble remembering the right names this morning) Any hoo...it's like having a writable CD but smaller and much easier to use (easier to lose too!)

Jeanette - have fun tonight. Sounds like the little bit of cold you had didn't get anywhere. I now no why I didn't feel like working out yesterday. Yesterday afternoon, the back of my throat suddenly felt nasty and scratchy. Head clogged, etc. So I have a little bit of a cold. Found out yesterday evening, DH had the same thing. I guess the schedule we've been on (go, go, go type) has worn us down. Of course, I don't have it bad enough to stay home, just enough to make me a bit miserable. Sitting here drinking hot lemon water to get the fluids in me. (regular water right now is just not appetizing)

Karen - looks like you've been extra busy again. How are the skies in your L.A.? Maybe it will rain soon and clear out all that crud. That's one think I love about living in the mountains, we have great air quality most of the time. Gets a little smoky in the winter when there is no wind and cold. (all those wood stoves)

Well, gotta run. Must see what is on the agenda today for work.

Good Evening!:)

It was Power Hour for me today -- haven't done that one in a while and I found it challenging -- also discovered I have abs DOM's still from the LIC workout... Tomorrow I plan on the cardio parts of Drill Max -- maybe I'll do the Cardio DVD instead -- since I want only cardio and anaerobics. Am looking forward to the new workouts.

Rhea -- the air here cleared up on election day and has stayed clear -- thank goodness. Noticed what I thought were the same kind of trails again with the jets -- but it turned out to be the regular condensation trails that we've seen for over fifty years or so. Hope the good air continues -- I hate it when the air is almost unbreathe-able. I do envy you you air. When I was on tour last year up in Minnesota and Wisconsin, I kept commenting on their wonderful air quality...

And how is work going? Hopefully not so bad that you can't fit in the things that make life enjoyable and fun.

Jeanette -- have fun at the concert and the fun of eating out. The family breakfast sounds like fun, as well. What a great thing to do. And hope to hear from you sometime on Friday or Saturday -- can't wait to hear about the concert.

Becky -- hope you are getting all your studies in along with the exercise (and moving). Goodness, your life sounds busy.

Well, have a great day tomorrow, everyone, and terrific workouts!:7

Hi,
Got a workout in today when I returned from Reno, did Butts and Guts, without the Guts as I did the stability abwork from B&G yesterday. Still a leg burner and butt burner, but not as bad and you know, I doubt I will have much if any DOMS. I do enjoy this workout a lot. I feel it actually working those areas that I want to firm in. Love the firewalkers. I tied my band lots tighter this time and felt it more. The floor work and various different lunges in this one really feel like they are getting in there where I want them to. I have Drill Max on tap for tomorrow before the Annual Family Breakfast. I'll just get up early and make sure I get it in. Sounds good, huh?

The Alison Kraus concert in Reno was fantastic!!!! We had dinner first at a place called the Vista Grille. I had the halibut and a couple glasses of wine. Our tickets were only about 10' from the stage and almost in the middle. Fantastic seats! She was well worth the wait from the postponed concert in March. Talk about awesome musicians!

Today, I went shopping in Reno and scored well. I bought 5 new pairs of pants and 5 new tops so it was good.

Rhea, no cold yet for me, but I feel it's coming sometime as I get a sore gland in my throat (can push on it from the outside) from time to time. I've decided that with this cold I'm not taking any Airborne, Zicam, nothing except water and aspirin or Advil. I'm doing an experiment to see if I can get over a cold quicker than fighting it forever and then finally succombing to it. It takes me over a couple of months to get rid of one once I get it. Of course, I'm not a doctor :p. Hope you and your DH can get over yours soon. It's gone thru our office at work. Think I'm the only one that hasn't had it yet.

Karen, did you do any cardio from Drill Max yet? Don't think you had made up your mind yet. I'm looking forward to it. Glad the air has cleared up for you down there. Think we are getting rain tomorrow. Sunday's supposed to be okay. Glad it will as that's my day to ride my bike.

Becky, know you are busy with studying and all. Hope to read some posts from you soon.

Hope everyone has a great weekend,

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

It was the new Cardio DVD for me today in its totality -- 71 or 72 minutes all total -- just did it to see what it was like -- and I can honestly say that I LOVE Drill Max. I can see that it will be one of those workouts that I reach for over and over -- it also has terrific premixes -- so you can really have fun with it. What a great workout that is. I think you'll really enjoy it -- I did only cardio -- I think the DVD is called Cariod Fusion? Is that right? Great premixes on that one, too.

Those seats of yours sound really good -- I don't think I've ever been that close at a concert -- unless is was in Vermont and at the ballet at a time when not too many people were going. Sounds wonderful, everything about it.

And shopping -- oh, how I love shopping. Sounds like you hit a gold mine. It's so hard to find pants that fit right -- and to find them really is like a little bit of heaven, I think.

Did I tell you that my mother-in-law is coming in a few days -- so I went shopping for a new bedspread for our room and for my brother-in-law's room -- where she'll be staying while she's here. She'll be here a couple of weeks, which will be great. I haven't seen her for over a year, so this will be really good.

Rhea -- I didn't know that you had a cold -- I missed that somewhere -- hope you are over it soon.

And Becky -- hope you're not lost in all the homework and moving and in-laws.

Tomorrow is my circuit workout time -- and I'm thinking of doing either LIC again or maybe a premix from Body Max or Drill Max -- actually I might opt for B & G -- we'll see. It's nice to have so mnay new circuit workouts, isn't it? And one can so easily change them to all cardio workouts, as well.

Well, have a wonderful weekend, everyone. I'm still doing work for Tricia and so it will be a full and busy weekend for me again.

Our skies are mucky again -- darn it -- it was so good here the past few days.

Anyway, have a terrific weekend, everyone and great workouts!:7

Good morning,

This morning was Drill Max, the upper body premix for 60 minutes. I really liked the football drills, fun, fun. This one was pretty doable for me and will get easier as I usually have a harder time the first time on a DVD. I didn't want lower body work as I did Butts & Guts (minus the Guts) yesterday. Love that workout!

Got to get ready for the gang for the big breakfast this morning. Believe me, the food won't be classified as "clean eating". Love to get together with my family!

Karen, have you done B&G yet? What did you think? This one makes me really burn where I think I'm supposed to be burning. Of course, for the ankle weight work, I've been using I think 1# weights instead of the 2 1/2#. Can always increase later.

Hope everyone has a nice Veterans Day and weekend. Bike ride scheduled for tomorrow.

Jeanette

I am sorry I have been gone for so long ladies. Things are pretty crazy right now with me driving 2.5 hours each way each weekend to see DH in Pensacola. I left Tallahassee on Thursday night (since I had Friday off). Let's see if I can remember what workouts I have done since then!

Thursday was Drill Max.
Friday was a rest day
Saturday was a 35 minute run w/ DH.
Sunday was the 50 minute timesaver version of Butts and Gutts.

I don't know if I am going to be able to do the November rotation just like Cathe posted it. In order to, I'll have to transport ALL of my equipment like every weekend!!! So, I will incorporate the new workouts into rotations that work better for my crazy life.

I have had a wonderful time w/ DH this long weekend. He did have to work on Friday, but I was able to get lots of stuff done in the new apartment (even though we don't have any furniture except an air mattress yet :) ) I laid down contact paper, cleaned things, etc. And I brought over some of our kitchen stuff. The animals are now with him, so Friday I had to get their new county tags/shots all straightened out.
Saturday we went to Destin (about an hour away) to meet up with some friends. Destin is the new North Florida vacation destination...great beaches...very pretty. We did some outlet mall shopping and basically bought new winter wardrobes at Banana Republic. They were having a GREAT sale!

Now we're waiting on the pizza guy to deliver (I haven't actually been the best w/ eating this weekend:) ). We're going to try this local pizzeria that we keep seeing deliver to our neighborhood. We figure it must be good if we've seen it that much.

Tonight I have to drive back. Not really looking forward to that. Our new apartment is so grand! 9 foot ceilings, 2 garden tubs...just so spacious. Everything is oversized, and I feel like I am at a resort. Now I have to go back to the old apartment :( (and be w/out DH).

Anyway, must spend time with him. I'll have to be leaving soon.

Hope everyone else had great weekends.

-Becky

Good Evening!:)

Extraordinarily busy weekend for me -- as they will continue to be until I finish this project with my friend, Tricia. Whew! Didn't have time on either Sat or Sun for a workout (I'm not really happy about that) -- but at least my eating has been clean.

Jeanette -- I haven't done B & G yet -- I previewed it on Friday and was going to do it on Sat, but just didn't have time... :-( It's going to be on the schedule this coming week, though.

I love the premixes in this new series -- something for everyone. I was looking at that premix on Drill Max -- it looks so good.

How was the family breakfast, by the way? It sounds so wonderful, actually.

Becky -- great to hear from you. So your weekends are going to be busy, busy, busy, too -- 2 1/2 hours each way. Whew! But what fun to see your hubby and get the apartment all set up. I love doing that kind of thing.

And a sale at Banana Republic, as well. Love that store, though I don't often shop there anymore as they are part of the Gap which can use GMO cotton -- but they have other things there besides just cotton stuff -- and I always love their colors.

Rhea -- hope you're having a terrific weekend.

Anyway, again, a busy weekend. Am posting my upcoming schedule for next week:

Monday: Drill Max cardio (one of the premixes or something from the Cardio Fusion DVD. (Cardio, Anaerobics & plyometrics.)

Tuesday: LIC -- full thing or premix depending on time

Wednesday: BodyMax2 cardio & stretch

Thursday: Butts & Glutes

Friday: BodyMax2 upper body premix -- or some sort of cardio and upper body workout

Saturday: IMAX2

Sun: Off

Like you, Becky, I'm trying to incorporate these workouts into my own schedule and become familiar with them this way.

Am thinking of writing a sci-fi romantic Native American story, as well as the story that's under contract. We'll see...

Well, have a super Veteran's Day everyone and wonderful workouts!:7

(Edited to change Fri & Sat. schedule)

Good morning,
Today's workout was LIC premix #3 (step, blasts & upper body work). The premix says it is 55 minutes but it does go over that. Yesterday I did about 30 minutes of Shiva Rea yoga and then 29 mile bike ride at a fairly easy pace. Never got out of the 30 degree range for temp. It was a bit chilly.

Our family breakfast was wonderful on Saturday. Had about 23 I counted. Lots of good food and company. Huge success thanks to everyone.

Becky, goodness, you have been really, really busy. I'd definitely modify the rotation to what works for you. I'd hate to lug my weights around. That wouldn't be fun at all.

Karen, hope you enjoy Drill Max today. I really liked some of the drills and a couple didn't really grab me but I was half asleep when I did them so I need to test it again. I did a premix on that so really can't comment as I know I didn't do the whole thing (no leg work).

Good workouts everyone.

Jeanette

Good morning all!

Darn cold kept me down all weekend. Well, Sunday I probably would have been able to workout except for the fact I slept wrong and had a extreme kink in my neck. Cold is actually a bit worse than yesterday (go figure!) But it is only my sinuses that are really effected. I broke down and took some psedophedrine to help drain. I really hate the stuff, makes me too wired. But I'd rather be able to hear and have a normal voice.

Depending on my energy level, I might try to do something little tonight. I really want to loosen up my neck and shoulder. Getting the blood flowing usually can help. I jut want to get this cold over with so I can have fun in Mexico next week.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Afternoon!:)

Am logging on earlier today in the hopes that I'll go to bed early tonight -- I hope.

It was Drill Max for me today -- a premix -- it was supposed to be 46 minutes -- but it turned out to be about 55 minutes because I needed to have a little cool down period between the drills -- great workout -- really enjoyed it.

Really like LIC -- I'll probably do it tomorrow -- but probably won't have the time to do 70 minutes -- will probably do a premix.

Jeanette -- really hope you enjoyed LIC -- I think Drill Max will grow on you -- really, really like it.

Rhea -- perhaps you might do some light exercise and stretching -- some form of it -- rather than stress your body with heavy exercise when you're not feeling well. Colostrum might help, as well.

Becky -- hope you've recovered from all your traveling this weekend.

Well, I'm off to do chores -- much to do -- much, much to do. Whew! Didn't get my own work done cause the weekends are taken up with work with Tricia. Am also going to try to get up earlier, as there's a book that I want to write that's not under contract...

Anyway, take care, everyone -- have a terrific day and wonderful workouts!:7

Good morning,

Today was the warmup and 30 minute step from Body Max2, then the stability ball bonus abs from B&G. Good workout. Tonite is my Cardio Coach bike workout after work. Not sure which one I'll do tonite. I have a dr. appointment in the afternoon. Yearly checkup, but also I found a lump in my armpit so want to get it checked out too.

Rhea, Mexico, huh? You've got to be all better by then! Hope you heal quickly. Yeah, don't push it at all. I still haven't developed the cold. Hope I don't.

Karen, what kind of work are you doing for Tricia? Glad you enjoyed Drill Max. I thought you would. It's on my rotation for tomorrow. Hope I'm up for it after doing Cardio Coach tonite. I may have to pick a premix again as I just don't have over an hour most weeks. Next week is a holiday week so will have more time.

Good workouts everyone.

Jeanette

Hello ladies.

I am getting so bad about checking in. I guess it is to be expected w/ how crazy my life is lately.
Yesterday I did BM2 timesaver cardio premix. That bonus cardio was a blast!
Today I plan to do LIC premix 3.

Must get back to class. Hopefully things will quiet down in my life soon so that I can actually feel like I am participating in this check-in.

-Becky

Good morning everyone!

Becky...we all understand. We just miss you when you are gone. Hope things will get quieter soon.

Well, ladies, woke up this morning a bit worse. Pr0bably because it is now a sinus infection. I just love when that colored stuffed comes out of my head (sorry probably TMI!)(and I was being very sarcastic there) So no workouts again. I actually went to bed at 7:30 last night and still could have slept more this morning. (another clue for me.) But I still have to work. I'm going to try and squeeze in a doctor appointment between court so I can get the darn antibiotics started. I should be all better by Friday. I like catching the infection part early in the game, then I don't suffer so long.

Wel, gotta run and get ready for court. ( of course it would help if I could just stay home sick, but not in the cards for me.)
