KK's February Check-In

Hope this takes. Sometimes it seems hard to start a new thread. Didn't workout today -- just too rushed -- and I'm on the second floor and I noticed the fellow below me has a guest :) over and I didn't want to disturb them too early -- so I'll just finish Cardio & Weights tomorrow.

Jeanette, sorry to hear that you're coming down with a cold. Bummer. But at least you got out and did some golf. That's good. I'm not writing right now -- all my attention is going onto finishing and getting home. I am a little worried about it, but have it on the backburner right now -- simmering... Get well soon, okay? Remember colostrum.:)

Hi Janie -- question -- I make my own protein bars and went to the store today to buy vegetable glycerin and was told they will no longer carry it because of Homeland Security. Interesting. So I have to find another sweetner to fill its shoes, which is too bad because I really like it as a sweetner -- not too much of it -- just a little -- anyway, don't you need that to make soap? Just a question. Can soap be made without it?

Hi Rhea! Hope your trip is great!

Have a super day tomorrow.:D

Hi Everyone,

KK, The beauty of making your own soap is its byproduct. It makes it's own glycerin. Isn't that cool! You also can put more glycerin in the soap to make it even more moist. I get my glycerin at the Walmart drug store. I hope they never discontinue it, it's so good for the skin. By the way, I have 3 different bars ready to ship out to you tomorrow. YEAH!

Anyone else like some soap? Just let me know, I'll send some your way too.

Jeanette, I love pancakes too, put I can't eat just one of them, so I don't. Hope you feel better soon, this is the season for colds.

This is a rest day, and we have company watching the Super Bowl. FUN!

Rhea, talk with you tomorrow.

Good Evening!

Okay, so this did take - - I think that the January post is going on, too. Really? Soap makes its own glycerin. Wow! I found it interesting that I couldn't get it at the Health Food Store -- and the person said it was because of Homeland Security. Interesting...

Today was the 2nd half of Cardio & Weights -- it was a good workout -- am hurrying to get to bed so excuse the short post.

Hi Jeanette & Rhea! :D

I feel so silly using last months thread. Jeesh!

I'll look before I start posting again.

Anyway, I'll be watching the first couple of the STS's DVD's. Already read the book. It's all here just in paper form, really don't need the book.

See you all tomorrow.

Janie

Good morning,
Today was SJP, a step circuit premix. Yesterday was a rest day, though I did get a nice walk in during my break and played 8 holes of golf after work. Tonite is sewing with my Mom and sister. I bought fabric over the weekend for a quilt.

Janie, the Super Bowl was fun for us too. I normally don't ever watch, but we went to my folks house for a party.

Karen, C&W is a fun one. Bet you enjoyed.

Must run,

Good Evening,

Did the first disk of STS series. Joey and I will be sore for many days. I know this! Tomorrow will do Step Blast, I think.

KK, What is homeland Security? Maybe it's just in Florida? Your soap is on it's way.

Jeanette, Don't you just love premixes? I'm so glad you can still play golf. What would you do without it? Have fun sewing the quilt. How exciting!

Rhea, I'm thinking of you.

Good evening!

I was posting over at the Jan thread too! Totally forgot it has changed to February.

Well, this cold has got me good. Nice stuffed head. So no workouts for me as I'm trying to get rid of it. No work for me either. I moved around all my trials and stuff. Doesn't do my client any good when I'm sick and can't think straight.

So I'll be lazing in bed tomorrow. I want to get back to my workouts as soon as possible. Darn it. I was doing so good. I guess the stress and the go, go, go at work caught up with me. But I should not be down long.

Karen - ginger bath is supposed to take all the toxins out of you. You are supposed to stay in it as long as you can stand it, and as hot as you can take it. I usually look like a lobster when I get out.

Oh, my STS is sitting in my living room. A lot of work to do that rotation. Wow.

Okay, off to bed with some thera flu or something. Talk to you later.

Good Evening!

Boy, is it cold here today! Goodness! This is Florida, for Pete's sake. Janie, Homeland security is a bunch of legislation that Bush put before Congress and got passed -- it's supposed to help locate terrorists, I think. So far, however, those who put it into practice seem to somehow mess things up for the average Joe... In truth, I haven't read it to know exactly what's in it.

Anyway, today was 1/2 of Bootcamp -- tomorrow I hope to do the rest of it. Was really late on time today -- I have to manage my time more wisely, I guess.

Janie, Wow, you're starting STS little by little -- can't wait to hear all about it. I didn't order this workout as the cost was prohibitive for me.

Get well, Rhea. It's so cold here, too and the wind really puts the temperature down. I have the oven on cause the heat in this little apartment was made for...well, for Florida weather. Ginger baths sound wonderful. I think I'll try it.

Jeanette, how was the sewing with your mom and sister? Sounds to me like a wonderful evening. I love SJP, I just can't figure out how to split it out so I do 1/2 hour a day -- that's all I have time for right now.

Gotta run and get the evening things done and to bed soon. Have a super day tomorrow.

Hi,
Today's workout was Imax2 (5 intervals), then abs from LIC. My STS came today and I'll be starting on Monday. I did preview very briefly (the first DVD) and the clarity is absolutely amazing. Last night's sewing was actually cutting out fabric. Lots of pieces. I still have more cutting to do and will do that this weekend.

Karen, SJP is a fun one, isn't it? It does have a ton of premixes on it. I think the one I did was a shorty of 30-40 minutes. The quilt making time was fun at MOm's. So nice they are all helping me. I'm learning a lot too. You must be going like a house afire all day long. You are soooo busy. Know you are wanting to get home soon. Will your DH be able to come visit you before you leave to come home?

Rhea, sorry you got a cold. I got one on Friday night, Saturday was just full of junk in my head. I'm much better now and a cough and sore throat didn't develop, thankfully. Not like most colds I get. Take care of yourself.

Janie, were you sore today? Was Joey too? I know we're all hoping for great results from this series. Did you take before pictures? I did when I did P90X, but haven't for this. Don't think I could stand the sight of myself LOL!

Gotta run,

Good evening,

Jeanette, So far the STS is fantastic. Did Step Blast for 20 min. That was tough, I wonder why? Tonight I prepared for the 2nd dick. Joey and I will be doing Back and Triceps. How large are you making the quilt?

KK, How cold is it in Florida? A lot of people didn't order STS. That's OK, there are plenty of workouts to do. When do you think you will be ready to go home?

Rhea, I'm so sorry your cold is interupting your workouts. You are doing so good! Just get better and then right back where you left off. I'm so proud of you and inspired. Joey and I had DOMS all day. I don't think they will leave any too soon. But, we are ready to do the 2nd dick tomorrow. No before pictures, but we will look different once we are done. As you do this series, you know this will happen.

Take care everyone and have a nice sleep.

Janie

Good evening!

Well, hopefully this is my last day lazing around. I feel almost normal tonight. A good night's sleep and I'll be off to the races tomorrow, but I'm still not going back to work. One more day away from the stress I think will do me good. I'll sneak in on Sat when nobody is there to do some catching up for Monday. But not much. I think I really needed the time away. Probably had more of a "stress" cold than anything else. Something my body came up with to make me stop and do absolutely nothing for a few days. Happens to me every once in a while.

Looks like everyone is doing great. I haven't previewed STS yet, but I'm going to finish up the 90 days for CLX first. Then I'll tackle the STS.

Well, off to get some nutritional reading done.

Have a great rest of the evening.

Good Evening!

It was the rest of Bootcamp for me today -- but I didn't even get all of it in -- the last interval I still have to go -- but it might have to wait or maybe I'll just skip it for now -- tomorrow I plan the cardio only from Bootcamp 4DS once again. The time on that is perfect for me -- or I might do intervals only from IMAX2.

Jeanette, I do love SJP -- gotta see if I can put together something that is 30 minutes or thereabout. I do wish I could sew - I think sometimes that it helps to calm one down -- unfortunately for me, I get so stressed at the pricks of the needle and I'm almost always doing something wrong, that it isn't the relaxing thing that it should be for me.

Yeah, I am literally running to finish and get home. I figure 2 more weeks. And that's a real figure. Paul is going to try to come here and drive home with me. :) I would like that very much.

Janie, what a surprise I had in the mail today -- more soap. Thank you. Thank you. I really think you have a good thing here. I can really feel the purity -- and it's not harsh like many soaps. Glad that you are getting back into things here -- amazingly you'll be doing the new workouts soon.

Rhea, am glad you got the time for yourself that you needed. Kinda important -- especially in a stress-filled environment. I wonder if it's the stress of the job or the boss who won't let you onto the internet -- it was something like that, wasn't it?

Okay, I'm off for the races to get to bed fast. Have a super day tomorrow.:D

Good Evening,

Joey and I did the second disk in STS, back and triceps. It was long but we did get it done. Our bodies are sore/DOMS, it's good. Tomorrow I will be doing Aerobic Yoga, that's also an hour.

KK, Good cardio tonight. Glad you like the soap. You got it so fast! WoW!

Rhea, So glad to hear you are feeling better. Your body needed it, especially if it was over stressing out. Do take care and enjoy your last day of rest. How much longer do you have to do CLX? I'm inspired, you are doing a great job.

Jeanette, Hi kiddo.

Good afternoon!

Still at home, but up an about doing little things, like Push Circuit #2. Not feeling 100%, darn stuffed sinuses and that lovely drip that comes with it, but still can do things around the house. Like bills. Oh yeah, it is the first part of the month, I suppose I should pay those bills. LOL

Any way, Janie I have probably about 60 days left to do on the rotation. I've been delayed a bit with this cold, but I decided to pick right back up where I left off so I can get through the entire rotation. I don't want to skimp out on it at all. I really need to get the nutrition down a bit more though. Cleaner eating is really the key for the body fat loss. I just have to keep reminding myself of that when I reach for those pieces of chocolate.....:eek:

Okay, back to the chores. Have a great rest of the day everyone!

Karen - good luck on the next two weeks...gogogo!

Good Evening!

Just a short post to stay in touch. Today was anaerobics day for me -- IMAX2 intervals for 1/2 hour. Good workout.

Janie, you sound wonderful. Nice to get back into the workouts, huh? I do love the soap. You are talented.

Rhea, get well, darlin'. 60 more days of the program, huh? It does sound good -- the time is certainly right.

Hi Jeanette! I do have to run to bed now. Have a super weekend, everyone!:D

Hi ladies,
Today was 2 combos from Amy Bento's hi-lo, then the hi-lo from SJP. Yesterday was a premix from High Step Challenge. I plan on starting STS tomorrow.

Karen, 30 minutes of Imax2 is a good workout. I did that one myself this week, even those genie hops that I don't like. That'll be really nice driving back with your DH. He must miss you terribly.

Rhea, glad you are feeling better. I caught a cold late last week, but it's not a bad one for a change.

Janie, are you still sore from STS? I'll probably be joining you in the soreness soon. Have you done the couples ab work yet? That one looks like fun.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Good Morning,

Jeanette, You are going to love STS. I did my cardio today, rest tomorrow and then we start on the 2nd week. It's so cool.

KK, I see you are still doing great on your workouts. Keep up the good work. Glad you are enjoying the soap.

Rhea, Sorry you are still feeling sick. Hope things will get better soon. I'm proud of you getting back in there when you can and starting where you left off. YEAH!

See you all later,

Janie

Hello everyone!

Well, still sidelined, but oh well. Can't push the aerobics with a stuffy head. I probably will just start the push phase over this week. (only did two of the workouts) That way, I'll have another three days before I have cardio scheduled. If I'm feeling up to it on Tues, my longest court day, I'll stick in a short, non-anaerobic cardio to get myself back up to speed. It is the cardio intervals that are really tough that I'm not quite ready for. I know I'd be only about 1/4 of the energy to do them.

So today is a cleaning day. I have some things I want to move around, so I might as well take advantage of the time. I've been delving into the cleaning of the file cabinets and taxes, yuck. But at least you can sit in bed and make a mess.

Have a great rest of the day everyone!

Good Evening!

Quick post before I run off to bed. Today was a rest day for me -- tomorrow I'm back on the scurry of getting everything done. What a race.

It'll be 30 minute workouts for me until I'm finished with this, I fear. Don't really have a plan outside of doing anaerobics at least twice a week and the rest of the days to get in some cardio and weights -- somehow.

Am in a rush. Have a super day tomorrow. :D
