Killer Leg Combo

I am not usually one for adding onto workouts (b/c I figure it is what it is & am usually strapped on time!) but I tried something yesterday that you might want to try for a little burner!

S&H Legs + PLB stability ball work

YOWCH!!!!!!!!!! My buns and my inner thighs are screeeeeaaaaaaming today! I went heavier than usual on S&H b/c it was time to try to increase poundage. By the end of the stablity ball work, I was dying for a good stretch :)

Today, the stairs are not my friend }(
 
Wow!! I just did s&h legs/shoulders today. I can not imagine adding in that stability ball work. How heavy do you go on the S&H legs portion?

I am not a really heavy weight pusher at all but yesterday I increased my bar by five pounds for squats (40) and lunges (30). For the dumbbells, I stick with 10# for the preexhaust on squats and lunges, 10# for calves, 12# for the preexhaust on plie squats and 25# for the plie squats.

I must admit that while I was doing the stability ball work, I was really close to exhaustion & had to push very hard to continue, but it definitely worked (judging my my sore legs today ;) )
 
Holy Moly Christine!!! I am impressed. PLB stability ball work can burn out my legs all by itself! Way to go. Did you know sometimes the DOMS is worse the 2nd day...:7 ...Carole
 
Yeah, there's no way I could do the PLB stability ball work after that!! LOL. My legs were shaking during the shoulder work -ya know where your bent over with a flat back. Perhaps something to work up to.

I must admit though I did use 50# for the squats yesterday and ouch is my tushie sore!! Now I am off to do today's w/o chest and back.

You'll have to keep us posted if you keep doing this with what kinda results you get!!

I still feel it but it loosened up a lot, thanks to a segment of stretch max yesterday after my workout ;)
