KickMax Leg Drills - what am I doing wrong?

I noticed during Kick Max this morning that I am not getting any "burn" during those quick snap kicks. The ones that I am referring to are the ones where she has on leg up, w/knee parallel to hip and does quick snap kick motion many times in a row. At the end of each leg, she says "wow, feel the burn" and I am not feeling it!

I watched Cathe's form and I seem to be following well but something is wrong and I cannot figure it out! x( I feel fatigue from all other moves in these leg drills and I feel fatigue from holding the leg up but the kick motion doesn't seem to make me fatigue at all. (I hope I am describing this okay!).

Other than feeling like an uncoordinated spaz, this isn't working for me. Any pointers? Any others not feeling it? And if you are, where are you feeling it?

I don't feel the burn in those either, really. Now the ones before those, I do. I did that segment Sunday and was sore until this morning. After just one segment I was seeing my hip flexor muscle quite clearly so I'm going to continue doing them.
 
Try paying more attention to bringing your foot back. The initial snap, when your foot extends, works the quads. Try squeezing your hamstrings really hard when you bring your foot back to your butt. You'll feel it! :D

Thanks for asking this Christine. When I've read how a lot of people around here are getting doms from the leg drills, and I needed to add a 5lb ankle weight ~I thought I must be doing something wrong.

Thanks Lunacat for the description on form. I'll give that a try next time.
