Kick Punch and Crunch vs Kick Max

I want to buy either Kick Punch and Crunch or Kick Max,I saw KPC on TV and I really liked what I saw. When I went online to purchase the DVD I saw that it also comes with Legs and Glutes witch I really don't need, plus the cost is 44.95. So I looked at Kick Max which says it's similar to KPC although one of the reviews say something about blasts. I'm not sure what "blasts" means?? Does that mean there is alot of jumping around? On Fit tv I only saw the kicking and punching segment of the KPC DVD. So which one should I buy?

Not Cathe...but can give you some insight on this. They both kick behind! They are my 2 favorite workouts by Cathe and man you will get a fantastic work out with either. KPC will really kick, punch and crunch your body and if you are new to Cathe can be a little hard at first. There is a lot of "jump kicks" in KPC and only one combo in KickMax with the jump kicks. My heart rate comes up more with KPC during the drills, however once you get into the blasts in KickMax you will be on fire! The blasts in KickMax are again not for the "first timers" and they involve some plyo jack jumping jacks and other drills, (I swear I think Cathe is a bird and can fly! She makes it look so easy to be in the air!). You are going to get your money out of either DVD you buy. If you are looking to spend less then go for the KickMax if you don't need the Leg and Glutes workout. I bought KickMax first and then KPC and both have been wonderful.
My last bit of advice is to buy directly from Cathe.com!
Hope that helps!

When asking if there is alot of jumping in the Kick Max dvd the reason I ask this is, I only have a limited space to workout in and usually there is not enough room to jump around.

The jumping around in Kick Max doesn't take up too much space - it's mostly vertical, lots of straight up into the air. However, there are some lunge-type exercises involved which take up a little more floor space. The blasts are really fun, and I add them on to my other workouts if I'm needing extra "oomph."

But personally, as a whole I like KPC much better, as far as kickboxing workout go. I think the kick and punch routines are more fun, and they keep my heart rate up higher for alonger period of time. However, the blasts in KM really do kick your booty - they're about 15 minutes long, total.

By the way, Legs and Glutes is a great lower body workout, so I don't think the combined DVD is a bad investment at all.

I really like both workouts but I think KPC is better when starting out because it is easier to modify. I also think that L&G is an ABSOLUTE MUST! This workout is different from any other leg workout out there and is truly a work of art! Besides, there are so many premixes on this DVD that you can't go wrong.

Kickmax is great but the blast segment is INTENSE and if you're new to Cathe this may not be the way to start out.

As far as room is concerned, I think you'll be fine with either.

Good luck and let us know what you decide:)

The other thing is, KPC/L&G has LOADS of pre-mixes. It's like getting 15 workouts on one DVD! Kickmax has a few but only 4 or so, I think.

Personally I like KPC better, although I have been doing KM more often as I am trying to increase cardio endurance.

You'll be happy whatever you choose!

Good luck,
Marie
