Okay so I caved and bought 3 of her DVD's. Stepboxing, Weight Split Sessions, and a new one that is being released Aug 31. They look really good.

Would like to hear back from you on how you liked the DVD's. I only have one of her DVD's and I do like it. Would be interested to hear how some of her others ones are.

I have her 30 MTF Stepboxing and 30 MTF Cardio Blast. I really like both of them. I also preordered her two newest DVDs and I'm looking forward to receiving them. I'll often use her workouts as-is for add-ons after a Cathe split session or I'll use her longer premixes (usually around 50 minutes) for my workout of the day. I also have her 30 MTF Body Training DVD that I'm going to take on vacation with me next week (along with Travel Fit).

PS - She's the only instructor I own other than Cathe.

I have stepkickboxing and love it. I did it just yesterday with weighted gloves and loved the workout.

I have a lot of her stuff. I love Muscle Definition. She's got some original moves on that DVD and a great premix that links it all up, doubles it and takes you to exhaustion.

I do not like Split Sessions, because Muscle Def is superior, IMO, and Kelly's music choices are not always all that good.

I looked at clips for Stepboxing and cancelled my pre-order. The music was dull and the moves looked all beginner to me. I couldn't see myself getting a good workout with it. her older Stepboxing workouts are way better, from before she started the 30 MTF series. See if you can find clips for those on, maybe, totalfitnessdvds.com

Kelly is a consummate professional and I like her a lot. She has a loyal following, but personally I find her stuff can be hit or miss. Especially where cardio is concerned. Also, she always thinks she has really worked legs a lot in all her DVDs, but I find the legwork to be lacking usually. You have to take each DVD individually, watch clips assiduously and decide on a DVD by DVD basis if it is for you.

I will keep trying with her stuff.

Thanks for all of the feedback ladies.
Brenda- I don't intend to do them right away. I am currently working on a Turbo Fire rotation. When I do I will give you my opinion.

Clare- I had my eye on the Muscle Definition DVD but the description on Collage video said the 2 workouts are upperbody and I was looking for total body but then I read a review that said it does work the lowerbody confused??? How are her premixes????

Wonderwoman:

I have only ever done Muscle Def through one premix in particular. IT's the longest one, that basically doubles up everything and randomizes it. I love it. It hits hard. Yes, she includes legs also, but Kelly doesn't target legs at all in the same way as Cathe does.

She only ever uses dumbbells, for example, never a barbell. She doesn't go higher than a 20 pound dumbbell. Her moves do target legs on their own, and she is fast paced, but most often she combines an upper body move with the lower body. For example, she has a great squat and bicep curl move that has a massive cardio effect, it is done explosively and it makes you sweat. So, this is why I like Muscle Def. Fast paced, explosive moves, a metabolic effect, cardio effect along with the weights.... and there are moves, twists on exercies that we never see Cathe do, so it's nice to have some variety.

Of her 3 most recent weights workouts (Muscle Def, 30 MTF Weights and Split Sessions) Muscle Def is the "funnest". SOmething about the selection of exercises, the pace, and the music. I keep coming back to it.

There are plenty of premixes, short and long. But I only ever do the same one because I just love it. 30 mins of exercise is not enough for me you see. I need more. So I never do just one of the main workouts on the DVD.

Does this help any?

Clare
