Would anyone here consider these "clean" or "clean-enough"? I mean, they are made from whole grains right?

They are SOOO yummy...I am having some right now with cottage cheese. :9

***Crossing fingers...please, please, please!***

I consider them "clean enough". Then again.... I have to restrain myself from eating the entire flippin' box if I buy them. So I try not to buy them.:p

I'd say 'clean enough' if you enjoy them. (That is, if first ingredient on the list is 'whole grain X flour" and they don't have hydrogenated oils or high-fructose corn syrup/sweetener in.)

A girl can hope, right?!

Shelley, fortunately, I learned the key to restraining myself with these things! I used to bring the entire box to work and rely on my willpower to keep myself from eating the whole box (yeah, that didn't work too well). Now, I just portion them out in baggies and only take ONE baggie with me to the office. For some reason my willpower is good in the morning!

They are sooooooo good though.

Thanks for the response!

Sorry to disappoint you, Rose. I was addicted to them too. Then I read the side of the box and realized that the FIRST ingredient was "wheat flour". DARNIT! x( Major letdown. :(

Nancy,

Are you gluten intolerant? That would be so tough, I have a friend who is and can only buy products with rice flour.
And yeah, I polished a box off in two days one time. I now buy the big whole grain rice cakes instead. I can eat just one, no problem. Probably cause they really do not taste that great!:)

tneah, I think Nancy was saying that "wheat flour" was a disappointment because it's refined flour, not whole grain.

I noticed it too, Nance, but in the wide world of snack crackers, they are still among the healthier options. (Crackers in general are not really clean) Sometimes you just need a good cheesy cracker. :9

Em is right. The first ingredient is NOT whole grain. But they do contain some whole grain, which is better than most crackers, as Em points out. I've stopped buying them though. :( Simple carbs are a real problem for me.
