Hi Karen! Premixes are different combos put together making the workout different from the original, such as repeating some of the same combos extra times to make your workout longer, changing the workout by taking out certain combos to make the workout shorter, arranging the combos in different orders, in other words, just making an all NEW workout. Also, in say a strength workout, the DVD may have a section that is totally all ABS or total lower body work or upper body all combined. DVD's make your workout possibilities endless with just the push of a button or two. Does this make sense? I think I confused myself! If you get the opportunity to go DVD in the future, you won't be sorry. The are wonderful.
