Carol if being opioionated were a crime, I'd be on death row. I haven't seen a single post bearing your name that isn't smart, well-presented and thoughtful. Now where's that "Search" button? LOL! The problem, if there was one, is that for every opinion expressed, there's bound to be a dissenting one. We just have to agree to disagree! But you've always played nice, Carol. I order you to stop worrying!

Hi Carol,

First, I just want to applaud you for the courage it took to post this email and to issue both an apology and an opportunity for those who might have disagreed with you re: comments made on the 'peanut' thread. I won't argue whether it was necessary or not. What I admire is that you felt a need to say something and took a chance with us that we would hear your message. BRAVO!!!

You're so right when you say that cyberspace is an imperfect meaning because facial expression, intonations, and such are lost and concrete words are all show up on a computer screen. How I wish something could be done about it. But until video conferencing becomes the norm we must all try to muck about in this imperfect place.

I have enjoyed your posts in the past and hope that whatever unpleasantness arose out of this experience will not dissuade you from posting the the future :D .

Hey! If I can quote a very wise Catheite "We are Catheites and we are gorgeous". I loved that!!!!!!!!!!!! I look at myself in the mirror now and say "I am a Catheite and I am gorgeous." When I have sweat running down my nose and can't wipe it off because I am lifting heavy weights I laugh and say "I am a Catheite and I am gorgeous."

Hey, Carol, this kind of thing has happened to almost all of us on the internet! Good going that you are refining your communication skills on line. It is really a skill that requires practice, and practice implies mistakes and learning from them. I will not elaborate on mine, suffice to say that I have had them! So glad to share this forum with you!!
