Just walked my second 5K

Including me! LOL! I have never done a walking race before. I was second in the 40-49 race, and my family laughed at my mug. I was quite a bit slower than Kathryn at 41:20, but still faster than I ever walked when I "practiced". I as a matter fact did see walkers doing little run steps. But I passed most of those that did.

Whooo hoo Kathry, . . . . good for you! Next time you just have to wear a powered by veggies shirt, . . that would be so great . . .you just gotta! Wouldn't it be neat if a bunch of Cathe fans joined in a marathon with Cathe shirts, . . .that said powered by Cathe all in orange and blue! Your time was good too. I know some people that can't even run a 5 k in that time! Loved reading about it, . .thanks for posting.

I was looking around to see if you'd be there, but didn't see you.
Glad you past most of those 'cheaty' walkers (are you sure they were officially 'walkers' or were they runners who were taking a break? I passed by a few of those).

I'd rather have a mug than a cremains vessel, LOL!

I actually have one, and I wore it at two other races I was in. I had washed it and was thinking of wearing it, but I didn't know how well I'd do. Next time, I will.

I was just looking at the results from previous years in this race, and I'm glad some woman named Liz didn't show up this year. Her previous times were in the 32-33 mn range!
