I just finished a 12-week "Fitness Challenge" at my job. I was coming off a severe leg injury, so this fitness challenge was really just to slowly get my strength and endurance back up...so, I didn't expect much in the way of weight loss. That's good, because I didn't really see any...I noticed quite a bit of improved strength, though, so I guess I reached my objective.
I'm so glad this fitness challenge ended, because it was very restrictive, meaning that I wanted to do other stuff (and felt ready to do other stuff) but couldn't because I had to do specific things to hit my goals. So, now I am FREEEEEE! Free to put together and build a Cathe Friedrich Fitness Program!
To that end, I started a notebook today, and have decided to start with a 12-week program, tailored almost completely around Cathe's workouts, with a 3 on, 1 off cycle. To get me off to a motivational start, I pre-ordered Cathe's new workout series, plus the Basic Step and Body Fusion DVD. I've already got lots of Cathe workouts video-taped off of FitTV, but want to replace those with DVD's as soon as I can. After the first 12 weeks is done, I think I will move toward a 3-week cycle, and start putting in higher-intensity workouts (IMAX Circuits instead of Cardio Blast or Rhythmic Step, for example).
I'll try to post updates as the 12 weeks goes on. I'm just glad to have finally found fitness routines that challenge me and keep me from getting bored.
