Hi everyone,
I'm just feeling butterfly's on my stomach, when I think about my husband. He's almost home, :D:eek:
I was thinking about the first date with my DH. You guys gone not to believe it, THE GYM. Yes may husband is a gym junky. So when I meet him he was single and beautiful ( he still is):p but I was a single mother of two, and he did not care he was so nice I meet him on valentines weekend, I did not spoke any English he did not spoke any Spanish so what I got was a dictionary and went to school for a while and now here I'm 8 almost 9 years later, still he said that I don't speak English I speak Eunice,(probably you notice as well):confused: I just love him.:)

so my question is were was your first date?

I'm excited for you that your DH is almost home!

DH and I met at a b-day party but our real first date was at a fantastic restaurant, arranged by him. I didn't know it then but he drove all over creation and back checking out restaurants within an hour's drive, examining the menus etc. He picked the one he did because of the food and also because it had a spectacular fireside table that looked out over the water at night. That was a great night. We talked for hours.

After dinner I went home, called my best friend and said "I just had dinner with the man I'm going to marry." :)

Our second date was a hike. :)

Fun thread!

On our first date we went to Sedona for the day. In his ex-girlfriend's convertible! He was renting it from her while she was out of town. I knew right from the start that we'd be together for a long time, probably forever.

So glad your DH is coming home soon!!! Our 1st date was to see "Men in Black" and I asked him (with a not so gentle nudge from a mutual friend) Afterwards, he asked if I wanted to go for ice cream, and I told him no because I had "already eaten today" This was back when I was trying to control my weight by only eating 1 meal a day. FYI, not a good idea!

I met my husband at a summer job. For our first date, I rode my horse to the little country store to meet him and then had him follow me home. Not sure what we were thinking because I could have just given him directions, especially since it took like 15 to 20 minutes to ride back home. I think we washed the cars once we got to my house. Oh to be 17 again.

I met my DH on a blind date. I really didn't want to go on the blind date and now 17 years later I am so glad I did!

What a cute story! I esp like the part where he says you "speak Eunice" :p

I met my DH in a bowling alley of all places

I met my husband at a DC-area FIRMies luncheon...yup he was the only guy there! :p That was 9 years ago, we started dating, and we've been married over 6 years now!

(PS: He quickly realized the FIRM wasn't his style, so he dropped that but kept me :) ....he's doing INSANITY now!)

Eunice is it still 4 weeks or has another one gone by? Seems like a while ago I saw the 4 there ! ;)

How nice for you that your DH likes to work out so you have something very near and dear to you in common.

And by the way . . . I think you do very well with your "Eunice English". I have always been able to understand what you meant with no problem. I am not as brave as you and rarely speak Spanish to my co-workers but can understand them if they speak slowly. :p Not every word but enough.

So in answer to your question: DH and I met playing roller hockey but were both married at the time. When my ex decided he was not in it for the long haul eventually DH and I went to the beach to roller blade along the shore. Did that quite often - I love the beach so it was romantic for me even though it was the day time ! ;)

I know you've been so kind of asking me about my DH coming back home, today is #3 woohooo, is getting closer;)
I was talking with him over the phone and he said that all this time he did not have time to workout he last weight:(, so this last month they not going to do much over there, just waiting for the day until they get back, so now he is finally working out and getting back on shape(he has to catch up with me):p he asked me what I want,we always talk about everything, the girls, every day stuff, boring stuff, workout and all that stuff, so I told him, I want to get more cut and ripped so funny he said that he is going to be my personal trainer for a while:eek: isn't funny and FUN. I can't waitttt.;)
