Just Did Super sets

Just finished Super Sets, and Loved It!! I wasn't sure about not doing 3 sets of each exercise, but so far I feel it pretty good. I used heavy weights for everything, so I would burn out. It was very enjoyable!

Supersets is my favorite of the Body Blast series (and I love them all!) The see-saw push-ups and the barbell preacher curls are awesome! I did the upper body blast on Sunday and am still sore! Glad to hear you liked it Faythe!
 
Yeah Jillibean, I loved the preacher curls and see saw's too. I didn't think I would be able to do the see saws, but I did. I was so proud. Joanne, I would go as heavy as you can with good form. I went heavier, and had the next lightest weight nearby just incase I can switch real quick if I have to.

I'm so hooked on Slow & Heavy this month, I can't move on. As soon as I do, Supersets is up next. Will I want to program it to do more sets?
 
Super sets is a great concept and it is one I can stick with. However my elbows kill on the preacher curls. Am I doing something wrong? And BTW the concentration curls really test my patience! I want to be done and then Cathe starts in with the halfway and hold, then I think OK NOW we are done and she does the slow count of 4 yikes!

The preacher curls on the ball hurt my elbows too. I think my ball might be too small so my arm positioning is wrong. I'm going to do Cedie's modification until I purchase a larger ball.

I love this workout, though - it is so much fun (and I don't often say that about a strength workout).
 
I just did it today, The Upper Body Blast pre-mix. This gives two sets of all upper body exercises, minus abs (I had done abs with KPC yesterday). I went heavy, and the two sets of each exercise felt great. I love the bright red outfits, and a lot of the exercises are different and keep me interested. I don't want to risk heavy weights on the ball, so I substituted some of the exercises. This might be my favourite weight workout of the series!:D
 
I love that premix, and after I did it then I went back and programmed in all 4 core sections and did those twice. (There is no all core premix, unfortunately.) Wow! Did I ever feel those abs today. And biceps, from those preacher curls on the ball.

I have done all of Cathe's weight training workouts and although I get sore on most of them, nothing made me as sore as Supersets did. I felt it EVERYWHERE!!! And it lasted a good three days until my muscles started feeling normal again. This is a great workout, I really love it!

What is are the main muscles being worked with the woodchoppers on the ball? I assume it's abs but I must be doing something wrong because these seem waaaay too easy with 8 #'s and even 10 #'s that I used today. Is there a certain position on the ball that makes these more challenging?

I was just wishing today that there was a core premix on this one too, BTW.
