Good morning ladies....

We now switch to June....Again wow!!!!

Ok, I just went over Cathe's June rotation and I think it is another great rotation. So, I am doing the June rotation. Yesterday I did 60 minutes on the elliptical. I am going to sub that for the run she put on the last day of week 1 so that I can stay on track with my rest days staying on Sunday..Today I am doing Muscle Endurance....

Be back later..

June 1st, OH MY!

I really have a bunch to do to get ready for the DC trip next week. I'm trying to be excited about it, instead of nervous. I'm going to a meeting for chaperones today at 2:45.

Kathy: the June rotation looks cool! So many good oldies!! Enjoy!!!

Beth: (from last night... did you love the cupcake??), That is funny that there's no real Memorial Day parades there! Like maybe CA is too "cool" to have one? ;).... I wonder if getting a few zzz's in at work did help me. I had a pretty decent run yesterday at the park. Went 10 minutes longer than I usually do. And it was pretty hot out , though there was a VERY NICE breeze that helped me out immensely! ..... Got a great book recommendation if you're interested. it's called Firefly Lane. A young adult book about the relationship of 2 best friends over 30 years. It sounds so good. I was tempted to get it and bring it on the DC trip, BUT, it apparently is a book that is very touching and will make me bawl like a baby. Not so good on a bus! LOL!. .....

We never got to build our fire last night. Got too late. Greg's schedule really sucks, he has to leave for work at 8:30. Tonight Zach has a band concert, so maybe Wednesday, Greg's night off!

I'm going to Jake's class today for Reading Group, and then will come home and do PUB, up mix + BBL's BUM BUM. I'm thinking of doing Butts & Guts floorwork premix this week for my other leg workout.

Good morning!! Happy June, I guess! Flying.....

Kathy, I looked at her rotation -- it looks fun! Well, except for the original body max which I just can't stand. :D I'll bet you'll have fun with it. I must be going through Cathe withdrawals or something because she was in my dreams again last night!!

Chris, that book sounds really good. I think there was a thread on it here, maybe? I didn't pay attention to the thread, but it sounds like one I'll have to check out. Love those kinds of books, but yeah, maybe not on a bus with a bunch of 8th graders! ;) I'll never forget reading "A Prayer for Owen Meany" on a long plane trip once, and laughing and crying my way through it.

Too bad about the fire last night, but something to look forward to, I guess.

I did my Shoulder Shape Up yoga this morning -- haven't done it since I was still recovering from my injury. Boy, I love that one! It really works my shoulders and upper back in ways I never do. Feels so good!

It was hot here over the weekend -- well, up to 80s, but it's foggy again this morning, so it may not be quite so warm today. It looks so gray out there right now!

Waves to Hottie and Joanne.... did you guys have a good weekend?! Be sure to read that weekend thread, Joanne. ;)

ETA: Chris, your workout sounds great! Love those two!!

Back from Jake's class, my workout, and then grocery store. It's so hot and muggy out, and it's going to storm like crazy soon, AND I have to go out in it! Drats!. I'm a chicken of thunder and lightening and wind!

I'm not sure if it's the humidity or my leftover weekend fatigue, but my workouts were really hard this morning. Bum Bum made me sweat like CRAZY, I was literally dripping everywhere. And I had this little sinus headache during PUB. I totally pooped out on the plank ball work. Stopped during the 2nd set of planks on the ball (not that I DID any planks, just roll ins).

Beth: Oh I didn't see the thread on Firefly Lane! A Prayer for Owen Meany sounds very interesting too. Will have to check that out.. Nice job on the SHoulder Yoga workout! Sounds like a good one too! Bet you'll be sore tomorrow.

I'm so bumming I have to go out in an hour and PRAYING it doesn't storm!!!!

Hi ladies!

Beth, what a hoot!! Your dream! So, was I skinny in the dream?? JK!! If so, that wasn't me! ;) It's funny what our minds conjure up at night. Oh, the part about being lost? If you were with me, that would definitely be happening. I'm the worst with directions. So good to hear your mom is doing well and back at home. We used to play Risk with friends and it would get so loud. Men just cannot handle losing! So you didn't like the Jeanette Jenkins workout too much? (Can you tell I have the weekend thread open? ;)) I kind of liked it, but remembered I didn't do the second set of the weights for some reason.

Chris, glad work seemed to be pretty low key this weekend. You need some of those! Your Memorial Day dinner sounded delish! I wonder if you're getting our weather now. We had crazy storms Sunday night and yesterday. OMG - I thought things were blowing up outside Sunday night. The thunder was so loud. Mmmm, big pink marshmallows! Tough workout today!! Hopefully your meeting today will help with your nerves about the trip. I'd be nervous, too, though! But, I'm sure everything will go fine. How long is it?

Kathy, I could never do BM2 on and 8-inch step! Have fun with the oldies rotation. It does look good.

We had a crazy weekend. DH put in a patio in the front. Of course, it was way more work than he thought and it was crazy hot here. But, it's just about finished. Some of the neighbors helped, so that was nice. I couldn't get anything else done, though. Yesterday Jameson and I ran the 5K. He beat me by 20 seconds!! He was so funny. He was determined not to let his mother beat him. I finished in 32:39. Not too bad, but slower than last year. It was so hot and humid. I don't like running in weather like that. Lots of people along the way had hoses out spraying the runners, which saved me. The race was my only workout this weekend. This morning I slept in. Tomorrow I should get back to Insanity.

I can't believe this, but Jameson graduates TOMORROW!! I know I'm going to be a basket case. I'm going to be the mother of a high school kid. Yikes! Then everyone is out Thursday for the summer. Will make my mornings much easier with no one to wake up. More workout time!

Hottie, loved the video of Evee. Wow - did you do all that training yourself? Very cool! Hope all is well...

Joanne

Howdy all! Did you all miss me?

It was a bit of a roller coaster again, so I didn't want to check in and bring my confusing negative energy. But I saw all weekend what you guys were up to. Some of the best parts of the long weekend included me starting STS again! And OMG I did HiiT 40/20 for the first time this morning. AND I did it earlier than my normal workout time (mostly because I woke up earlier but still). I am glad I previewed it last night because I wasn't sure I could do the workout firs thing in the AM and Joe suggested to take down 2 inches for each part of the workout which I did and I still got a good workout. My legs were shaking. Oh and all those pushups from yesterday -- feeling them! I hope STS this time around gives me the look I want. I'm trying to be good about caloric intake as well.

The other good thing (I think) is that we bought fancy furniture for the dining room. We got a round dining table, a sideboard plus mirror, and I got a bar with two swivel bar stools for Joe. I swear we're weird. It cost us several thousand dollars but we'll buy that in one swoop but not pay something if it isn't on the $1 sale. That said, we were at the store for HOURS debating it yesterday. I'll hopefully find out today when it'll come. I was having a bit of freak out yesterday but actually talking my therapist this morning helped.

Kathy -- have fun with the June rotation! I can't believe its june either. I need to pick up the pace at work -- I was looking at my experiments and going I need to get more results in less time! But I'm glad I'm doing the STS + Shock Cardio rotation...it'll keep me on point.

Chris -- oh I thought of you during the butt kicks part of the hiit workout. I just couldn't do it, legs were shaking, needed some breath, and I told myself if Chris doesn't do them, I don't have to either! lol! I pushed out some crappy ones for about 8 seconds before crapping out. I'm still impressed you're going to be a chaperone on such a long trip. My parents would NEVER do that. EVER.

Beth -- its been hot here too. I was hoping it'll cool down this week but it seems that today is going to be the last nice day. Now maybe Joe will get off of his butt and figure out how to install the attic fan (actually, do you or any of your husbands know how to do it? We have electricity up there because that's where the a/c heater so all I have to do is figure out the electricity and to make sure that it doesn't turn on when the heat is on). you know I think i'm going to put that shoulder dvd on the top of my netflix queue because I clearly need more work on my shoulder. the muscles are still really lax in there and I can her it rubbing together all the time (it isn't comfy either).

Joanne -- yeah, I better be skinny in all of your dreams too! I like that...being skinnier in your dreams. I'm really pissed with my preggy looking belly. (I swear if someone else asks I will bunch them in the balls...and yes, its all been balls.) Seriously, can you lend your DH to do stuff on my house (LIKE AN ATTIC FAN!!!?)? He can get addicted to video games here too! Joe is terrible with directions; I'm what a like to call his bitchy GPS ("I SAID TURN f***ING LEFT!!") Yeah, i've been training Evee by myself. She came with some commands but getting her calm and obedient was me. Getting her through tunnels was funny though. I put treats inside the tunnel and then have to go in the other end to make her come through. But she's going to be pissed when all her gear is being moved to make room for the new furniture (my mom actually said to me, you're going to kick out evee so you can haev furniture?? Yes, she's my DOG...and she sleeps on my bed now anyway....)
