Reporting back in with treadmill run done....and then sabotaged with Graeters chocolate chocolate chip ice cream sent to us from a colleague in Cincinnati.
Why did I have to eat it? But, oh, it was gooood! The bad part is we have about 10 more pints in the freezer here.
Chris, I meant to comment that Jameson was afraid of amusement park rides too. I think he was really nervous about going on them when they went to Great America. You know, peer pressure and all that. But, he said he did go on some of the roller coasters and liked them. Great news the Zach came home with all his gadgets!!
Beth, I would love to have someone in the house who can sew - cause I sure as hell can't!! I'm so bad with all that woman stuff, as Hottie says!
Good for Dylan! Actually Ian likes to sew - we don't have a sewing machine, but he loves to play around with the sewing kit and repair stuffed animals.
I admit - I haven't woken up Caitlyn to work out with me cause she'd be a distraction! She'd get bored in 10 minutes and demand to be fed! I figure I'll do something with her on a weekend when I've already worked out. I think I actually have a kids workout DVD somewhere in my piles of DVDs!
Hottie, yes, keep chatting - love it! Actually the shock cardios aren't all that tough, especially the MMA ones. So, I think it's a good balance when doing STS. Just think how accomplished you'll feel when finished. You finished an STS rotation before, didn't you? I finished one, but didn't like Meso 3, so I don't think I'd do that part again. I'm amazed you showed Joe how to change the oil, too! I know there were some kids that hated the middle school experience. I didn't have the greatest grade school or high school experiences, so I know what you mean. I'm thankful my kids seem to be the opposite of me and are really fitting in and enjoying school. I did flourish in college, though.
Ian's been kind of depressed the last week or so - he really likes school - mostly the social aspect of it. I told him he can have a party later in the summer and invite his school friends.
Kathy, I think Jameson will stay in touch with his friends. A lot of them live close by, and, of course, they are all on FB. One of his best friends is moving to Miami. I told him to be sure to stay in touch so he can go visit! Does Lauren like bike riding or even running? For now, my kids seem to get enough exercise from sports (at least Jameson and Colin) and just running around. But I think it's great to get them into a regular exercise routine and instill how important it is at a young age.
I was thinking of getting some type of inflatable for Jameson's grad party at our house. Not a bouncy house, but do you think 13-14 year olds would like the jousting thing or maybe a huge slide thing?
Procrastinating enough...must do some more work!
Joanne
