What's the best way to do this? I don't think I can handle it if I do everything at once so I'm thinking cutting out chocolate would be a good start.
Take it slow would be my advice. Maybe limit yourself to one full-blown dessert per week, but one small square of dark chocolate each day.
Make small changes -- switch from white bread to whole wheat/whole grain, 2% milk to 1% or fat free, and make sure that you are eating enough vegetables, especially green!
