July RT check in 7/9

TAMARALEE

Cathlete
Well my morning started off just peachy. I came downstairs to a lovely smell, dog poo. Not how I like to start my day!! (At 5am no less) My female who had her litter of 9 3 weeks ago thought eating the leftover hot dogs would be a good idea last night (venison hot dogs) apparently not so much. Puke & poo. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

So once I got to my WO it was Cardio Fusion. I admit I cut out 3 Drills (my least favorite ones) since I ran short on time. I was very nasty by the time I strecthed. Other than the poo clean up, a great workout. You could say I had Poo Max. HA HA The whole Mow Max cracked me up yesterday too!!!

Off to VBS land a again.
Have a wonderful day all.
Tomorrow we can officially say 2 WEEKS!!!!!!
(for those of us going in early)

Good Morning!

Today was a 3 mile run, HIS step and Workout's one-on-one 18 min. core/abs segment. I rented it from NetFlix and thought it was a pretty good ab routine. I'll do the rest of the workout (upper and lower body on Sat)

Bev--I stayed a the Residence Inn last year. They are just next door to each other. Are you sore from GS Legs? Last year the Friday am group went to Friendly's for lunch after the step class. I wasn't there, but heard about it. I'm sure there will be a group getting together for lunch again and maybe dinner Thurs?

Tami--Sorry about the pet surprise this morning! Which are your 3 least favorite drills in DM? I may need a ride Fri morning if that is okay and you have room. Enjoy VBS today.

Kate--What lower body w/o did you do?

Jerry--How was that 5 mile walk?

Terri--How is your DD? I am also a teacher, so I hear you about not wanting summer to end! I have taught 4 and 5 year olds for 16 years and will be changing schools in the fall as a Kinder asst. Love those little ones.

Have a great day!
Gin:)

Hi, all,
I'm planning to do Hip Hop with my DDs, then Imax 3. I've been working on mastering it in preparation for RT. I think I've got it!

Tami -- so sorry about your puppy treat this morning. ugh!

Gin -- awesome workout as usual! :)

I'll be out of town tomorrow through Sat. at a legal conference; I still do my continuing ed. hours to maintain my license. It might be funnish because it's at a nice resort.

This has been a rather frustrating week -- my washer and computer have both crashed, and we've had to replace them! UGH! I'm on my DD's laptop right now b/c the new computer isn't set up yet. Things could be worse, though! :)

Hi to all who follow!

Just completed my 5 mile walk, followed by Stretch Max without the ball, not Cathe-style intense, but more than good enough to work up a good sweat, and a good appetite.....LUNCH TIME..:9

Hello every one,

Yesterday I ended up doing GS double Back and Biceps, took way longer
than I thought I would:eek: and had to lower the weights on the second
round. But felt so good when I was done:D :D

For today KPC, need to feed the kick box monster}(

Tammi, sorry to hear about your smelly doggy presents
What are your 3 least favorite drills?

Gin, your work outs sound so intense}( can't wait to meet you:)

Terri, enjoy IMAX 3, I think it is one of if not the toughest workout
I have ever done. Have you ever done "scrambled eggs" on BM2?
That's another goodie}( My DD has had a lot of dental visits and
has had braces etc. know how you feel about walletmax:eek:

Take care all RTers see you soon:D :D Brigitte

Hi Kristi, sorry IMAX3 and BM2 question was for you.

Can you tell I'm in a hurry to go do KPC before my work out time
gets taken over ??;)

And Terri get going on that CC, work work!!:D :D

Brigitte:) KPC, here I come }(

Gin,

Absolutely I would love to give you a ride, I should have 3 seats. My roomie will be with me.

Least favorite drills, the one with the ball, it bothers my shoulder sometimes. I skipped the jumping one with the hops, where you go across the room. I actually LOVE that one, just ranout of time today. Not sure what #6 is since I skipped that one. What about you? I admit I don't do DM often although I do have it down for next week to so all the way through. What about you?

Tami

Hi to all of my fellow roadtrippers,

I did 4DS shoulders this morning and plan to do KPC this afternoon. I feel the need to feed the kick box monster too Brigitte!

Tami-what a surprise for you this morning. But at least you still worked out. I haven't done Cardio Fusion for ages. I need to pull that one out. I can only do step once a week anymore so it's hard for me to get all of my favorites in every week.

Gin-you just amaze me with your workouts after running! WOW. And yes my calves have major DOMS today which should make KPC fun. Thanks for letting me know that the hotels are next to each other. I was afraid I was going to feel a bit isolated there.

Jerry-do you walk on the beach? Didn't you say you live in Cape May?

Kristi-I've never tried Imax 3. I'm tempted to order that one soon.

Have a good day everyone. Can't wait to hang out with you!!!

Bev

Hi, again,
Brigitte -- I agree that Imax 3 is hard -- it took me forever to learn the step choreography. I may not do it today after all; I'm not sure I feel up to it. I did the Hip Hop DVD with my DDs, and I think I may do Step Blast later. I've never done it, so I'll be learning it, but that'll be a good trial run for Cathe's step class at RT. I have BM2, but I've never done it either. It's in my rotation a couple of times between now and RT, I think. I'm excited to try it -- just haven't gotten to it.

Bev -- Imax 3 is a great workout -- lots of jumping, though. It was a real challenge for me to learn -- lots of rewinding and slow mo to get the steps.

Jerry -- I think walking is terribly underrated. :)

Kristi,

I plan to do Step Blast on Friday. I haven't done that one for over a year and I seem to recall that I loved it. I tore a calf muscle last year and I still have to be very careful with that leg so I only do step once a week. Which is why I'll be in the back during the step class and using no risers!!!! lol

Can't wait to meet you.

Bev

Bev...yes I live near the beach in Cape May, but I don't do my fitness walking on it, I do it in home...I'm just not one of those people who enjoy exercising outdoors.

I do enjoy walks with DW on the beach, however!!

I agree, Kristi that walking is very underrated, I did Leslie Sansone's 5 mile walk today, and worked up a great sweat. Leslie's tapes are perfect when you want a break from the intensity of Cathe, yet want something to get you moving.

Good afternoon everyone!

Today I did Body Max 2 and it is one of those DVD's that I love to hate! }(

I have to admit that I did not do CC #7 last night, but I have a good excuse... severe thunderstorm and ultimately tornado warnings for our area of Indiana. I am not so good about scheduling in rest days, so apparently this one was scheduled for me. We have been very fortunate, as we have not had any damage from the floods or severe storms that keep hitting all around us.

Tami- I feel your pain with the dog situation! We came home last week to our dog proudly sitting in the entryway with a pink face and paws. She had decided to eat a red apple Christmas ornament that she found under my daughter's bed. She didn't get sick until the next day, when she was staying at my mother-in-law's house. Luckily, my mother-in-law is a saint and didn't seem to really mind.
Cardio fusion is a great workout!

Gin- I am amazed that you do anything in addition to running! My daughter is doing well, my wallet is still feeling the pain!

Kristi- I would love to hear more about the hip hop workouts you do with your daughters. Both of my daughters are dancers and this might be fun for us to do together. They would have a blast laughing at dear old mom! How old are your girls? Have fun at your conference.

Jerry- I too think that walking is a great workout! Good for you for completing yours today!

Bev- KPC is another one of my favorites! I don't think I have ever tried doing it with another workout on the same day. Let me know how your shoulders feel after you are done. I will try to email you my cell phone number so we can arrange to meet sometime on Thursday at the Residence Inn.

Brigitte- Thanks for the encouraging words, I will tackle CC another day! I have not tried the scrambled egg premix on Body Max 2 but now I may try to fit that in before the trip. I am recovering from a very unexpected surgery in April so I am really trying to improve my endurance so I don't keel over during one of Cathe's classes!
:7 Great job doing the double Back and Biceps on GS! I cannot wait to be able to lift a little heavier again- for now I am restricted to no more than 10 pounds. As Kristi said earlier, things could have been much worse.

Can't wait to meet all of you!

Step Blast was fun! I had to do a little rewinding, but not too bad. ;)

Terri -- the DVD is called "Dance off the Inches: Hip Hop Party," I think. I watched a clip and read the reviews on Collage Video before I bought it. It's really fun, although I'm sure I can't possibly appreciate how dorky I look doing it!!! I will warn you, though, that the instructor's pants are really cute, and they are out of them at Nike.com. :) :) Yes, we did actually track them down online after we did the DVD the first time.

Since I probably won't be back until late Saturday or Sunday, I'll give you my workout plan:
Thurs. -- HSC
Fri. -- run on the seawall
Sat. -- run on the seawall or a hotel treadmill with an iTread

When I return, it will be less than two weeks. YIKES and YIPPEE!!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I did not check in yesterday. I am fighting a cold and I was exhausted when I got home from work yesterday. I guess sitting in a training class all day wore me out :-D My training was just some generic mandatory training so it was boring. I am really glad it is over.

w/o was Bento KBX Good premix and 4DS Bi's & Tri's, 4DS LIS Abs

Jerry, I am so jealous that you live so close to the beach. I was in OC, NJ last year and I ran on the beach. It was really hard because it was so flat. We have a lot of hills where I live so it was a big change running on just flat land.
Kristi - glad you enjoyed Step Blast. I love that workout. Have fun at your conference.
Terri - I love BM2! I am thinking about doing it either this Saturday or next Saturday.
Tami, sorry about your surprise this morning.

Almost 2 weeks!!!

I can't wait!
