Good morning ladies!!

Getting ready to start my workout for today. I am going to do Imax 3 today. I need that cardio today.. Not much going on today!!

How is everyone else doing today...

Good Morning Kathy!
Hi to everyone after me!...

I'm in a hard place here. My sinus "thingie" that I fought over the weekend, came out full force! My head and nose are congested and my nose is continuously leaking. Yuck!! I mentally WANT so bad to do my workout (4 DS Cardio Power, KB/BC + calves and then GS Legs Floorwork), but I'm not sure I can get through... Or that I should even try with my sinuses SOOOo stuffed up..

But I guess I'll try it. At the least, i could do KB and the leg work.

Beth... I felt the same way about the Nov. 07 4 DS Rotation... I got so bored with it and so sick of 4 DS! So yeah, this one looks tough, but there are some tough days, and then some not so tough days. And there's other workouts mixed in . So what the heck, lets go for it!

Off I go!

~Chris

I MEANT to tell you , Kathy, your plan sounds great! I'll be curious as to whether the xtra cardio works or not. You just hear so much about more strength and less cardio. But either way, I think it's great to mix it up. And I hear ya on it being hard to be without a set rotation. I always feel so lost when I go free-style like that..LOL!..

Have fun with IMAX 3 today!!!!

~Chris

Chris and Kathy, I know, I feel lost being without a rotation, too! I was thinking about doing the one you're doing, Chris, but I'll miss about 8 days in July. I'm planning on bringing some workouts with me, but nothing that I'll need heavy weights for. I'll probably do some running, too. So, I guess I'm winging it after my final Drill Max workout tomorrow from the summer rotation. Or I may change my mind once again and go ahead and do your rotation till I leave! I'm so confused!!

Chris, maybe a couple days rest would be the best thing? I know, I'd feel the same way, though. I'd want to keep going.

Kathy, have fun with Imax3! I did Imax2 today. I tell you, that workout is a classic!! Good and sweaty.

OK...fish update if anyone is interested. ;) My DH went out and bought two more goldfish, some gravel and some "greenery" for the aquarium. Yes, this is the same guy who told me I was nuts for getting it in the first place. He said the other kids should have their own fish, too. The boys were all excited, fighting over who would feed them. Ian sat and watched his fish for over an hour the first night. OK, so I come home last night. The kids are all in an uproar. Ian is crying and saying Jameson killed his fish. Huh??? I finally get the story out of them that Jameson found the fish stuck to the end of the filter intake and pushed it off with the fishnet. It then floated to the top, obviously it had met its maker. :-( Ian thinks Jameson killed it when he got it off the filter. Then they tell me they were calling the fish lazy because it wasn't swimming very much. Well, that must mean it was sick in the first place - it died and then somehow got lodged up by the filter. But, Ian was in hysterics saying it was Jameson's fault. I kept trying to explain it wasn't his fault. Later than night Ian finally tells me that he knows that Jameson probably didn't kill it, but he was just very sad. :-( Where's the fish now?? Well, it's in a paper bag in our refrigerator waiting for its burial in our front yard this evening. Ian says he wants a full funeral service. I told him he can lead it. This is all for a fish we had less than 24 hours. Never a dull moment!!

Good morning ladies! We're funny about the rotations this month. I'm finding a blank calendar a bit disconcerting, I must say, but I hesitate to write down anything because I know when I'm gone it's going to be up in the air. But, I do think I'll try to follow loosely the 4DS rotation Chris posted. That said, true confessions here... does anyone read vf forum? There was a thread there about dovesbodies.com, and I caved and bought the workouts. They came so quickly, arriving yesterday, so I did number 1 this morning. I am not sure what to think of these workouts. They are not heart pounding cardio, but they're not strictly toning, either. I guess that's why I caved, because I thought they might be fun to mix in with Cathe. When I got done with the workout this morning, I was certainly sweaty, but my HRM numbers were comparable to butts & guts. So, like I said, not a normal cardio workout for me. I was feeling like I hadn't worked that hard, but did notice when I went to the shower that I was feeling that shakey feeling you get sometimes when you do a hard workout. So, it was interesting. Not sure how I'm going to fold that into the mix -- I think I need at least an 8 day week! :)

Chris, I hope for your mental state you got some workout in, but I have to say that I cannot imagine doing any kind of cardio work with a sinus thing going on -- that seems like a recipe for a pounding headache! I hope you are feeling better!

Tomorrow I'm going back to 4DS but this week I'm sticking to it as filmed (but weights first), I think. I still want to get imax 2 and drill max in this week, somehow. We'll see.....

Joanne, funny about the fish! Where should we send flowers? :)

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/happy020.gif Hi All!

So I did KPC felt I had more energy to spare so I jumped on the TM and did CCv4 - Now I'm cooked lol

Hubby & I have plans to go see 'Wanted' later on and stop off for some sushi :9

Tomorrow is my planned rest day and I'll probably end up doing Stretch Max all 3 sections or so just to loosen up the muscles and joints a bit more.

Kathy:

So how was Imax 3? Had fun?

Chris:

Do what you can but don't push yourself; I'm sure you already now that but it is okay to not do a planned workout if your feeling icky. If you really want to do something just don't push yourself so hard you don't want to make things worse.

Joanne:

Your poor ds sorry but I had to laugh about the fish story.

Beth:

I lurk over at VF I haven't posted over there in ages but I did hear about that set of dvds. Sounds interesting but if I ever get any new dvds it'll be the Zumba ones - now those I can see myself doing those as Latin music is in my blood LOL.

I love dancing salsa & merengue :7 http://www.pic4ever.com/images/dan.gif

So Ladies have a great day

Vilma, I've never actually seen zumba, but the concept sounds really fun, however, I feel like I would not be coordinated enough. Perhaps it's all of the mutt non-latin blood in me! :)

Have a great time at the movie and sushi -- I'm very envious on this end since I never did get my sushi last week and so it's been months and months.

Oh hey, is everyone here planning on doing STS? I was thinking about our rotation challenge this month and thinking how much easier it will be when we have STS! In fact, I wondered if maybe our sort of funk about deciding on a rotation is that we're so ready for STS!!

-Beth

Beth, I read VF too and heard about those workouts and came so close to ordering them. But, I held off (so far!) Do you have all four? I wonder if 3 or 4 is more intense?

Vilma, I had to laugh, too. Not in front of them, of course. But they were so intense about all of it. I was just thinking about how they'll probably be laughing about it when they are adults. Wow, KPC and CC4 - that's quite a workout! I think you need a rest day after that. Enjoy your sushi!

No Latin blood here whatsoever!! I'm Irish. ;) That's why I'm sure I was quite a sight doing Rockin' Body yesterday!

Yep, I did order STS! Can't wait!! I have a feeling we won't be seening them till the fall, though.

Alrighty then!!!!

I did it. Well 98% of it. I did all of 4 DS Kickbox and then 8 out of 12 of the Bootcamp drills. I started off telling myself I could take it easy, or do lower impact if I needed to. But I seriously felt ok doing it. And I would have finished the drills, but I was afraid i'd poop myself out and not be able to do the leg work. Plus, timewise, shaving off 10 minutes , was needed. It was a LONG workout. But I really liked it.

I had a hard time finding the 4 DS Calf work, but I did finally , and did it. As well as the GS Legs Floorwork. Good workout! Phsewww!

Joanne: I'm going to end up missing a week of this rotation too. But at least I have something to work on the rest of the time. The third week of July, I'll just wing it with whatever I can do on vacation. I'll bring my TJ videos, which has some resistance tubing work, and they usually have some sort of treadmill/workout room in the hotel. Plus i can run )). IMAX 2 was fun , wasn't it? And I really enjoyed DM, so have fun tomorrow!!..

omg..WHAT a riot about those fish! Your poor son that thought the other killed it. That is so something that my kids would do too! Well, a little lesson in death and dying is always good in these situations too. I know, my boys have never had anyone close to them die. Good opportunity! Mabye I'll buy some fish! LOL @ the fish in the frig!!

Beth: Congrats on the new workouts!! I have never heard of them, almost afraid of looking at them (because I'll WANT them! ), but I'll take a peek anyways, to see what you're up to! LOL!.
And YES! I'm looking forward to STS, and have been thinking about them in the back of my mind. I'm SOOOO ready to do them!! You'll probably get some good info on them at the Roadtrip! You'll have to share any 'secrets'!!

Vilma: I know you're right about not pushing myself. there have been times I've been sick, and really didn't FEEL like doing it. And hemmed and hawed because I felt guilty. But I think I physically and mentally felt pretty good about it today. So i did it! Soooo...YOU are a total NUT doing more cardio after KPC! I'm in awe you did all that today!! And I'm TOTALLY green with jealousy at your going to see "Wanted" (I want to see that SOOO bad, but don't see it happening with the kids home during the summer). I'm not a sushi fan, but I also crave a date with my hubby! So I will live vicariously through you, and you'll have to tell us every detail abotu your day tomorrow!

I just got done making CC cookies for the boys' lemonade stand. I didn't do too bad, considering. I had a few 'tastes' of the batter at the end, but no cookies. I guess it helps my nose is stuffed up and nothing tastes the same. In fact, last night after supper, I lost my taste completely. And i could care less about eating. I wish there was something you could take to temporarily make you lose your taste to I wouldn't eat. ... Don't you think that would be the best diet aide????

Okay... off i go, to help with the lemonade (and cookie) stand!...

~Chris

Chris, wow, great job with that workout!! I'm thisclose to doing the rotation with you. I wouldn't start till Saturday though. What's HIS circuit like? Is that all the step and all the upper body weight work? Sounds tough!! Enjoy the lemonade stand!!

OMG..I'm more exhausted from the Lemonade Stand than the workout! LOL!

They made $17! Not many customers... but they were VERY generous!

Joanne: Yes, HIS Circuit is all upper body. I really enjoyed it! I actually had some good DOMS from it! My body was not used to heavy...

Do it with (or almost with).. ME!!

~Chris

OK, Chris, you've convinced me!! I'm in!! I reserve the right to substitute when necessary, though! ;) I had a brilliant idea! :p I'm scheduled to do Drill Max tomorrow so I figured I wouldn't be able to do HIS circuit right away because Drill Max has upper body work too. Well, I'm going to do the Drill Max ultra leg blast (or some such title) instead. That way I can start the rotation Friday! Woo hoo! OK, it doesn't take much to get me excited! Although I'm a bit scared. The Drill Max leg premix is listed as 57 minutes - that's not much shorter than the whole thing. I wonder if she has you repeat the leg stuff. Could be painful. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Tell the boys good job on the lemonade stand!! Did you sell alot of cookies?

OK, must get back to work!

Hi everyone..

Checking in with Imax 3 done for today..Tomorrow I decided to follow what cathe put on the July rotation and I am doing step, pump & jump for my cardio & weight day..

Chris: I bet the kids had fun with the stand. How much did the cookies fetch for..Or did they eat them up instead? Great job not eating any..I haven't made any in a while because I can't resist them!! Hi-5 for getting a great workout when your not feeling well. It is tough to get motivated when your sick..Thanks. I am feeling better already from the last few days of cardio and eating better. I am back done a couple of pounds that I put on in the last couple of weeks. I am hoping to keep it up when we are on vacation. This month is going to be TOUGH!!

Joanne: I do so love the imax workouts. I wish cathe would do another. I was a sweaty mess. I looked as though someone had hosed me down!! The shower felt good after I was done! Poor fishy!! your story gave me a chuckle thanks!! Your poor son being accused of murder! LOL Hope the funeral goes well..May the goldfish Rest in Peace. Did he live long enough to have a name or did I miss that? Enjoy your rotation..

Beth: No, I don't go on VF. But, I have a friend on another forum that ordered the dove workouts too. She is still waiting for them. They look interesting. I look forward to for review of them. I think she saw them on the VF forum too.. Yes, I ordered the STS system. I wouldn't be a true fanatic if I didn't!LOL It is going to be tough. I can't wait to see what kind of rotation week we will have with that one..

Vilma: How fun! Enjoy dinner and the movie. That looks like a good one! I did enjoy Imax 3 today. I was one sweaty mess when I was done..
