I love juicing! I have a Champion juicer which I think is wonderful. My friend has a Vita Mix and says it is more like a heavy duty blender. Somewhere I have a bookmarked site that explains all the different kinds of juicers and the pros and cons...I will try to find it. I like juicing with it, but I can also make frozen sorbet type of desserts by just pureeing frozen fruit. There is a little shield attatchment thing that keeps the juice from separating from the pulp. No sugar, pure fruit and YUMMY!
One of my favorites is grapefruit, orange and kiwi. It is a Super C drink and great for recovery, or when you are coming down with a cold, or just need a boost of energy. I also like carrot, apple and cucumber. There are tons more and many good books on this. I have a number of them, sadly, as cookbooks are somewhat of an addiction for me.
I tend to do a three day juicing/cleansing fast once a month or so. Not totally faithfull to that, but I really like how I feel after. It is how I break bad habits that can creep into eating. I got off of coffee doing this, sugar for the most part, white flour stuff, and that bowl of microwave popcorn in the evening. Not that I don't ever have any of this ever ever again, but it is a good way to 'break through' for me.
