Juice Plus

Does anyone take Juice Plus? I am thinking of starting my kids on it because they are not the best vegetable eaters but I'd love to get opinions from people who have tried it first.

I did use it for myself and my kids. They seemed to be sick more that year than any other. Coincidence? Probably - but, I stopped using it because it was expensive and wasn't a "miracle" like I hoped ;)

ok i didnt know what it was so i went their website. it seems to be just a pill? like a multivitamin i guess. even if it really does come from juices no one can get the same nutrition in a pill as the real thing.
kids not liking veggies is very common, and usually easily fixed. i have a million ideas they might like. u could post a more specific question on here and that would narrow it down.
couple ideas
1. give them whole fruit/ veggies they do like as often as possible. in cereal/pancakes, sandwhiches, w/dip, w/yogurt etc.
2. sub. fruit for veggie. ex. they dont like carrots. to get vit. A u could give- apricots, cantalope. things that are orange. my kids love dried apricots. yams are veg.but lots of kids like those, and have lots of vit.A. easiest side dish ever if u just wash it and bake it in the oven. once its cooled, its carmelized inside yummy.
3.when they are trying something new, it could be something they picked at the store. or offer it at a time when they are really hungry. like a snack while u r making dinner.
4.can always count beans as their veggies that day lol.

I have the hardest time trying to get my kids to eat veggies too - super frustrating! Fruits are a bit easier to sell them on, but they still don't eat as much as I would like. One tricky way I get them to "eat" veggies is I give them V-8 Fusion juice diluted with water. Yes, it doesn't have the fiber that whole fruits and veggies do, but there is no added sugar, which is good.

My mother-in-law gave me the book "Deceptively Delicious" by Jessica Seinfeld. There are lots of interesting recipes in which you sneak in fruit and vegetable purees. I have tried a few recipes, with mixed results. The kids somehow always know something is up. ;)

I hinted to in-laws that I am interested in a juicer for Christmas. I think the kids would love to drink juice they help make.

I take JP for myself. I have tried year after year to get my son (7 y.o.) to take it to no avail. He liked it when our friend was here and let him try it out. But even with the new and improved chewies, he still won't eat them!! I tried them and I think they taste kinda yummy!

Okay, I'm loving the juicer idea to sneak veggies into his little body! mwaahahha (that was supposed to be a sneaky laugh!) :p
