Jogglers Sept. 2012

I did Buns of Steel 6 this morning, about 40 minutes of low impact step aerobics, very retro of me, I must say.:p I will do Kathy Smith's Fat Burning workout tomorrow, or I will do something else. I guess I will know when I get there.

Maybe I should get one of those gymbosses. When I was a teen I put together a workout for myself using exercises from workout magazines and I would do 1 minute of each for 10 minutes and then repeat it. It was fun and didn't seem like work because it moved so fast.

Jane- Great job on your workout. I do like to do the workouts, I am just having a case of short attention span.

Tricia- Did you get a workout today?

TGIF!

Here is my workout for tonight. My arms are killing me so I'm sticking to cardio and legs.

5 Rounds
Med Ball Run - approx 300 - 400m
20 Walking Lunges (each leg)
20 Weighted Squats
20 Russian Twists
10 Squat Thrusts

Alisha ~ You should get a Gymboss. It's only $20. I've had mine since 2007 and am only on my second battery.

I have a short attention span too that's why I love the workouts that I do. They are either 30-45 minutes in length and you always know that you got a good workout. I haven't done a dvd in a long time but the last time I did, it didn't hold my attention. I just go out in the backyard, get it done and I'm done...except for my 11 mile runs. :p

Hi Tricia!

Happy Friday Evening ladies!

Jane - Your idea for the GymBoss workouts is great! Amber came up with a fabulous challenge for next week with a deck of cards that I'm definitely going to try, too!

I love how you alternate your DOMS so well! ;)

Alisha - I remember Buns of Steel! Wow, that's going back a bit! Are they still making new workouts? No workout today. Had to go grocery shopping after work, in the rain. Ugh. Been up and down the stairs a bit though doing laundry. Functional workout? Nah.

At least that frees up my weekend and I will have no excuses (not that I've had an excuse the last 2 days).

It was a busy day today, but, oddly, it went smoothly. That rarely ever happens any more! Glad for the weekend though! It's supposed to rain all weekend and we wanted to take the pups to the beach so Stephen and Milo could go swimming. Not sure what'll happen. We'll just go with the flow.

Not much else going on here! Kitty is about to destroy my post so - see you later! Have a great weekend!

I plan to get my workout mid morning. I'm just not up to it at this point. I might even take a rest day. Tomorrow will be a steady state step workout or it might be 20 min. of jog/walk intervals and Ripped in 30.

Tricia- Enjoy the beach.

Jane- A run is it's own reward. I find that the scenery is entertaining. I am definitely getting a gymboss.

I did the 36 min. premix from Low Impact Challenge this morning. I'm still fighting a low grade cold. This afternoon I threw a fever for a couple of minutes but it has gone away now. I don't feel lousy enough to skip a workout, so tomorrow will be something, I'm leaning towards trying 'Ripped in 30'. I just got it last week in the mail. I do like a fun circuit.

There will be a new thread tomorrow. I just can't believe that another month has gone by, I really meant to workout a lot and to eat super clean, instead I had a bone to heal, my cat had surgery, and my Uncle died. So much for best laid plans.
