Jogglers November!!!

Jane- Thats great! I love days off! Those cookies sound sooo good!

I went for a long hike this morning. I saw two wood peckers helping themselves to the phone poles. Tomorrow will be a Cathe workout, I don't know which one yet.

I did Step Works off the Cardio Hits disc. I burned 529 calories. I plan to get some yoga this afternoon before dinner. We are having pizza!

Yesterday I ran a mile and did a leg workout with lots of squats. This morning I got up and ran 3 miles.

We had a great feast at mom's house - smoked turkey, rolls, green beans with bacon and a little spice, smoky scalloped potatoes (yum!) and some more marinated veggies. For dessert pumpkin pie and frosted ginger cookies.

Alisha ~ Pizza for Thanksgiving is awesome! I'm not a big turkey eater. I only had 1 piece of turkey but had seconds on everything else. The potatoes were fantastic! I don't eat potatoes all that often.

I took yesterday as a yoga day. I had a lot of coughing. This morning I will be doing Power Max. I'm digging up the older Cathe workouts because I need the extra calorie burn. :eek:

Hi!

I've missed a couple of days. I can't believe this weekend is over already but I have 3 more days before I have to go back to work.

On Friday I took a rest day. I went shopping in the morning and then walked my friend's dog in the afternoon.

On Saturday I did the Swine Time 5K and my oldest sister Mary did the race with us and finished a second before me. I still don't know our times because they didn't have a clock so I'm trying to get the results from the Race Director. We got a nice long sleeve t-shirt and a bottle of cane syrup. I don't know what I'm going to do with that. It was a fun race and I was glad my sister ran her first 5K.

Here is my Sunday workout. This was tough but a great workout to do after a long weekend with lots of food:
50 Jump Squats
50 Pull ups
50 Push ups
50 Squats
100 Deadlifts
100 Jump Rope
100 Sit ups
100 Swings
100 Step ups (50 each leg)
50 Walking Lunges
50 Push ups
50 Seated Halos
50 Squat Thrusts


I'm working out today but I'm not sure what I'm doing yet when I figure it out I'll let you know.

Jane- That looks like a really tough workout! You can use the cane syrup for making candy.

I changed my mind on Saturday. I went for a hike/jog. And then I took Sunday as a rest day. This morning I also did a hike/jog. Tomorrow will be a Cathe workout. I might do Slide n Glide again.

I'm fighting some sort of a sinus thingy and I'm resting a lot, drinking hot tea, airbornes, and taking vitamins.

I made some French toast for breakfast. Yesterday, we went to see Happy Feet and The Muppets. I loved both of them, very heavy on the songs. Luckily there was plenty of Kermit and Miss Piggy in this Muppet movie. The last Muppet movie was all about Gonzo and I really prefer stories about Miss Piggy, Kermit, or Fozzy the Bear.

I'm taking a rest day, my Mom is not well and we were up all night. So, its nap max. Tomorrow may be a Cathe workout. We shall see.

Yesterday I did an ab workout for about 25 minutes. I was so sore from that workout on Sunday. In fact my hamstrings are still sore. I'm taking a rest day today. I was out with mom most of the morning and now am making a batch of Christmas cookies.

Alisha ~ I hope your mom feels better soon! I will have to look for a candy recipe with cane syrup. I think people down here use it for pancakes and stuff like that.

Hi ladies!

I realized today that I probably haven't checked in here in almost 2 weeks! So sorry! Hope you two had a lovely Thanksgiving!

We had a nice quiet one. I'm still trying to get my butt in gear, but have a game plan now! Yeah, I know, I said that about 10 times before! This one HAS to work! I'm so blobby and fat again! My middle is just so fat! It's my own fault and I know it. Just not finding any fun anywhere anymore - it's not just my workouts - life in general just has no joy for me. I have to find my "fun" again! I have an accountability partner now and am required to check in every day starting December 1st. I will get a major butt kicking if I wemble on my workouts.

Alisha - I hope your mom is feeling better soon!

Jane - That was some ab workout! Ab Ripper X is about 20 minutes and that's about all I can take of abs!

Tricia- That sounds like depression. Depression causes weight gain and weight gain causes depression. I hope we can help you have fun!

Jane- Which kind of cookies?

I took yesterday and possibly today as a rest day. My Mom is on antibiotics and I have a cold. I will probably try to do some Cathe in the AM, I'm leaning towards 4DS double step cardio premix.

Yesterday I made gingerbread. I used a 'sticky gooey recipe' that I found online. Its great. But, it is really best if left for a couple of days, and then eaten, the flavors meld together and get happy if left alone for awhile.

This is my last day of vacation. :( I have to go to work tomorrow. Blah!! Oh well...I had fun hanging out and I only have 2 days of work and then it's the weekend!!

I am going for a run tonight and will probably do some kettlebell swings before hand. I'm going to try for 200 swings.

Tricia ~ YAY!!! We are happy to see you back here. I'm sorry life is no fun! I think that is normal and happens to everyone. You just need to explore new things and you'll get excited and back in the groove in no time.

Alisha ~ I hope you and your mom are feeling better. I made Mexican Swizzle Sticks. They are a spritz cookie that has chocolate and cinnamon. You make them into logs and when they are done baking you put chocolate icing and sprinkles on them. They have been my favorite ever since I was a little girl. I love them frozen too.

Gingerbread sounds really good.

Well...I have to head out and bring the gifts over to the Salvation Army for one of our adopted families. I'll be glad to get half of my dining room back.
 
Alisha - Sorry you and your mom are both not well! :( Sending the two of you healing energy! The gingerbread sounds delicious!

Jane - Glad you enjoyed your vacation time! Going back to work is always hard afterwards! Are the Mexican Swizzle Sticks really thin and crunchy? I'm trying to think if they're what I'm thinking they are.

Such a lovely thing to do, giving gifts to needy families! Glad you had a great workout!

I went to Target after work to pick up some "essentials" and a coffee grinder finally for my seeds! Came home, did dishes and not 5 minutes after I sat down, Stephen was home! I really enjoy having him home early! I'll be starting the December challenge tomorrow! 27 out of 31 days of workouts and I have a one-on-one accountability partner to help me! If this doesn't get me moving again, nothing will.

Is it spring yet? :eek
